Chapter 350
Chapter 350
Andre continued, "But that's not set in stone. Maybe I'll wait until you're done with your prenatal
checkup before I go. Just giving you a heads up, the exact timing of my business trip is still up in the
air."
Mia obediently nodded, wrapping her arms around Andre's neck and planting a kiss on him, "Honey,
don't worry about me. I'll be good at home."
Andre gently tapped on Mia’s forehead, "You are the one I worry about the most at home." If it weren't
for the inconvenience, he would love to take her anywhere he goes.
The next few days, all three of them were swamped with studying and exams. After two hectic weeks,
they finished their last exam. They walked out of the examination hall feeling physically exhausted but
mentally relieved.
Molly was about to start her two-month vacation.
Mia could now focus on preparing for the baby's arrival. She felt like she was about to start a very long
vacation. She had already completed half of her third-year courses, and there would be basically no
courses in the fourth year, it would all be internships.
Molly checked her timetable and found she only had a few courses left, so she told Mia, "Leo and I
finished all our courses in our third year. We may not be able to accompany you to classes next
semester. Can you handle it?"
Mia nodded, "No problem, you guys go ahead with your plans."
Her friends had accompanied her through the busiest semester, and she was already very touched.
She couldn't let them delay half a year just to accompany her to class.
Molly had to go home because her long-missed brother was finally back.
Leo asked her, "Molly, do you want me to send you back?"
Two car horns sounded in the distance. Hearing the sound, Molly looked over. She saw a familiar
license plate number. She hadn’t seen the person yet, but she was already smiling brightly at the sight Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
of the car. She ran over excitedly, "Chad!"
Chad got out of the car, and just as he stood steady, he caught his sister who rushed into his arms.
Having not seen her for days, Chad missed her a lot. He hugged her right there in the parking lot, "Are
you confident about your exams?"
"I'm very confident." Molly nodded in his arms.
Seeing their sweet embrace, Leo turned around and asked Mia, "Mia, do you need me to send you
home?"
Mia pointed to a parking lot in another direction, "No need, the person picking me up is already
waiting."
Leo clapped his hands, "It seems like after our exams, we'll all go our separate ways."
Mia went left and Molly ran right. They both ran into their men's arms.
Under the scorching sun, Mia used her hand to block the sunlight. She walked to her husband's car,
opened the door and sat in the passenger seat, "Honey, you've lost your touch."
Andre looked at his wife who started complaining as soon as she got in the car, "How did I go from
being a great husband to not great?"
Mia said in a deliberately exaggerated tone, "Other people's husbands, when they see their wives
walking towards them under the scorching sun, would passionately get out of the car to open the door
for them. But you just sat in the car laughing at me, not even helping me open the door."
Andre was speechless.
Mia was stroking her belly, complaining, "I'm even carrying your child, and you let me open the door
myself."
Andre walked over and buckled her seat belt, "We are husband and wife. The mundane life is the real
one. I'm not here to act in a TV drama with you."
Mia looked at her husband. He was not romantic at all, and didn't sweet talk. But hearing his words,
she couldn't help but smile. Married life was indeed mundane and real.
"Honey, I've finished my exams. What's my reward?" Mia asked.
About the gift, Andre didn't prepare anything. After all, it was the first time he heard that there should be
a gift for finishing exams. But he couldn't say he didn't prepare anything, otherwise, his wife would
definitely compare him to other husbands. So, Andre said, "I'll take you to buy it now."
Mia laughed and said, "No need for anything expensive, I just want to drink coffee."
"No, you're pregnant, you can't drink too much coffee." Andre firmly refused.
In the end, the coffee was replaced by juice.
It was hot outside. Andre didn't turn off the car, he asked Mia to wait inside, "The air conditioner is on in
the car. I'll go queue for the juice."
Mia kissed Andre on the cheek, "Go ahead. Thank you, honey. I love you." Andre, a serious man,
ended up marrying a super sweet wife.
"Oh, get one for Hansen too." Mia reminded.
Andre left.
Mia was excitedly waiting in the car. She opened her husband's briefcase, boredly browsing its
contents. She then picked up Andre’s work phone, casually looked at it, and finally looked out the
window.
"Huh?" Mia's eyes landed on two people not far away. She saw a man standing with a pregnant girl. It
wasn't strange for two people to stand together, but what Mia noticed was that she had seen both of
them before. The girl was the pregnant woman she saw at the hospital during her last prenatal
checkup. And the man was Finley!
Moreover, she felt that there was something off about the two.
Then, Finley's car stopped in front of them. Finley opened the back door of the car, and put his arm
around the girl's waist. He let her get in first, and then followed her in.
Mia watched in confusion. Would an old man put his arm around his granddaughter's waist?
Then, her husband came back. He put a cup of room temperature juice in Mia's hand, and a cup of
iced coffee in the cup holder in the middle of the seat.
Mia looked at her husband and asked the question in her heart, "Honey, would a man put his arm
around a pregnant woman's waist, other than his wife's?"
Andre buckled his seat belt. He was puzzled by his wife's question, "Why are you asking this?"
"I just saw two people. The man, when he was opening the car door, had his arm around the woman's
waist., the same way you hold me." Mia said.
Andre opened the packaging of the juice for Mia and handed it to her, "If it were me, I probably wouldn't
do that."
Mia asked again, "What if it were your daughter, or your granddaughter who was pregnant. What would
you do?"
This question made Andre a bit embarrassed. He was only 28 years old, with his first child still in his
wife's belly. Did he need to start considering the question of his daughter or even his granddaughter
getting pregnant?
"Uhh, Mia, you can call my father and ask for his opinion. As for me, I just want to hold you." Andre
said.
Mia realized she might be putting her hubby in a tough spot. After all, he was not even 30 yet. And here
she was, throwing 70-year-old questions at him. "Let's just head home." Mia said.
Back at their place, Mia handed Hansen a coffee, "This is what I managed to nag my man into buying
for you. It took me half an hour."
Hansen, feeling touched, said, "Mia, you're a real good kid."
