She’s Married, Sir (Scarlett and Sebastian)

Chapter 113

Chapter 113

She only vaguely heard this sentence as the sound insulation of the kitchen door muffled the rest of its

contents.

Cosmo, the sales director of Wen Group, often called his customers “darling” in order to mamtain them,

which was normal.

But the sentence he uttered, “It’s easy to be spotted if it’s too often made Scarlett sense that something

froze

“Scar Scarlett..”

Cosmo paused, then quickly responded. He gestured to his phone and said. “My client just called. They

need a bulk refund for a product, and they asked me to take care of it. But I need to get permission

from the company first. I’m asking the other side to give me some slack…”

It was reasonable for him to explain this, yet he failed to make it clear why he stated that it was easy to

be spotted

Scarlett had no intention of interrogating him. She kept her composure and asked. ‘Why are you going

into such detail with me? I didn’t even catch what you said”

Upon hearing this, Cosmo’s tense expression finally eased. “I was worried you’d misconstrue it, so I

wanted to make sure you

understood.”

Scarlett grabbed the plate in her hand and headed into the kitchen. “I was just about to knock when you

opened the door. What a serendipity!”

Upon witnessing her place the plate in the refrigerator, Cosmo’s doubts were completely allayed.

She should have come to the kitchen to put things away, not to eavesdrop on him while he was on the

phone.

Cosmo replied with a “Yeah, what a coincidence and then walked out.

Scarlett glanced over her shoulder at Cosmo’s retreating figure and felt a slight unease.

She hesitated to tell Susan, knowing how much she loved and trusted Cosmo.

If she told Susan about this, it could potentially damage their relationship, but if she kept it to herself,

she would regret not being honest with her friend

After hesitating for a while, Scarlett finally took out her phone and sent Susan a message, disclosing all

she had just heard. The reason why she did not directly question Cosmo just now was that she was not

qualified, and she did not want to alert him; moreover, Cosmo was too good to Susan, not appearing to

be the kind of person who would let her down.

Therefore, this kind of thing should only be brought up privately to give Susan a heads-up.

Susan quickly responded, “All right, I’ll take a peek at his phone tonight in secret”

Scarlett was aware of Susan’s usual composure when it came to relationships, so she wasn’t overly

concerned.

She replied. ‘Don’t forget to let me know the outcome.” Then she hung up the phone.

As she left the kitchen, she ran into Susan who had just exited the restroom.

The two of them looked at each other.

Whenever Susan encountered Scarlett, she would become angry.

When it came to her own matters, she was adept at concealing her emotions.

Scarlett, calm and collected, held Cosmo’s arm as they went home, her heart heavy.

She was very afraid that Susan would discover something, for they had just tied the knot. What would

Susan do if she did indeed uncover something?

Scarlett, 100 afraid to fall asleep, sat on the sofa, clutching her phone, awaiting Susan’s message.

At approximately two o’clock in the morning. Susan sent a message.

[Scarlett, I have confirmed that it is indeed a client, and the other party is a man.]

[Cosmo warned that their ongoing exchange could reveal that they had profited from the situation, and

he was just afraid of being found out

Upon seeing the two messages, Scarlett let out a deep sigh of relief.

She swiftly typed in a reply: [My apologies, Susan. I was too erratic.]
