you still with him?”

to do with him?”

“Do you like him that much?” Manley asked.

He said seriously, “You’re an idiot. Jonathan is just playing with you. He won’t marry you. And you’re tal

Estelle suddenly asked, “Is Lucille your cousin?”
Manley chuckled, “Yes, what about it?”
“She said the same thing!”
Manley was amused once again, “What are you trying to say, that she and I are the same kind of perso
n, or that we both have ulterior motives? Although Lucille is stupid and jealousy, and she has
done many stupid things since you and Jonathan got together, she is right about one thing Jonathan in
deed won’t marry you. He hates Lucille, but he’ll still have to marry a woman with a Lucille–
like family background”
Estelle laughed, “Then would you marry me?”
