Chapter 661 You Still Remember
Tobias put on his pants and buckled his belt before stubbing out his cigarette. “Send me a message
with the list of food that you want to eat. It's no trouble at all. What makes you think that I'll be unwilling
to do something as trivial as this for you?”
His so-called trivial matter was something not many men would do for their girlfriends and certainly not
in the middle of a cold night.
It was hard for Skylar to associate that caring boyfriend of hers with the ruthless CEO of Ford Group.
Since Tobias was willing to run the errand for her, she decided to accept his kindness. After he left the
room, she sent him a list of food that she wanted.
She even thanked him politely at the end of the message.
However, Tobias did not even reply to her message. She had no idea if he read it or not.
Looks like he would never change that bad habit of not responding to his messages in this lifetime. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
When Tobias entered the store, the store attendant could not help but take a few more glances at him.
He began picking up the food items according to Skylar's message. When the store attendant asked if
he preferred the spicy soup, he hesitated for a few seconds.
He was aware that Skylar loved spicy food, but it was already so late. In the end, he chose the non-
spicy one.
With a few bottles of beer in her hand, Idania saw the familiar figure at the cashier, and she was sure
that it was Tobias.
The world is so small. The more you pine for someone, the less likely you are to meet him. Tobias had
not been answering her calls or replying to her messages.
She had always told herself that Tobias was busy and bogged down by work now that Ford Group was
in trouble. That was why he had been ignoring her.
She had imagined Tobias having a meeting with the higher management in the office at that moment.
Of course, all of those were only her fantasy. The truth was so ironic. Tobias had shown up at a store in
the middle of the night and was buying oden.
Idania knew Tobias very well. He was the type of man who would grab a few slices of bread to keep
himself full so that he could continue working. He would never buy any of those food items.
The only reason for his purchase must be because of a woman. If she had not witnessed it with her
own eyes, she would not have believed that Tobias would come out on a night like that to buy steaming
hot food for a woman.
She noticed how the store attendant could not take her eyes away from Tobias. Idania was used to
that. Women tended to be drawn to Tobias regardless of where he was or how cold and terrifying he
could be.
She felt her heart sink. With a gentleness in her voice, she called out his name.
Tobias turned around and saw Idania with the beer. Under the bright lights of the store, he thought that
she looked well for someone who was ill.
“What a coincidence to bump into you here at this hour.” Idania pretended that it was only a chance
encounter between friends and made small talk with him.
Tobias knew that Idania did not stay anywhere near that area. He had no idea how they could bump
into one another there, or why Idania had come so far to buy beer.
Ever since Idania found out that Tobias had moved, she had been coming to that area for a spin
whenever she had a sleepless night. Obviously, she had no intention of telling him the truth.
When Tobias spotted the bottles of beer in her hands, he took them from her and settled the payment
too.
“You aren't feeling well. So don't drink too much.” Tobias took out his cash. For the entire day, the
cashier had not received a single bill. After all, even elderly men would use online payment for their
purchases nowadays.
Idania smiled and said, “So, you still remember that I'm ill.”
