You More Than Anything In The World

Chapter 1349 Adding Punishment

Chapter 1349 Adding Punishment

“What are you looking at?” Benjamin raised an eyebrow, his gaze carrying a hint of suppression. He exuded an imposing aura.

Jonathan chuckled and playfully jested, “I've noticed your undivided attention on Arissa. I never would have imagined that someone who typically displays little interest in women would one day have an enamored expression on his face!”

Snorting softly, Benjamin picked up his drink and swirled it around before taking a sip. “When you meet that person, you'll naturally feel the same as I do!”

Jonathan imagined the scene for a moment, then decided he wouldn't act this way. “I'm sure I'm not like you!”

“Don't be overly definitive in your statements!” Benjamin offered a word of advice from his personal experience. He had once held similarly staunch views, only to find himself unable to rein in his own heart.

Jonathan chuckled. He gestured toward the study. “Arissa has gone to the study!”

Benjamin glanced to the side, a trace of worry crossing his face. However, thinking that the children probably wouldn't dare to confront Arissa, he quickly reassured himself, his expression returning to normal.

“Let's drink!” Benjamin lifted his chin slightly before he started discussing work matters with Jonathan. The two of them chatted while they drank.

Arissa stepped into the study and discovered six children standing with impeccable posture in a corner, their backs straight. They were facing the wall.

From their upright postures, it was clear they had experienced this many times.

She made a noise on purpose, causing the children to turn their heads. In a soft, timid voice, they called out, “Mommy!”

Arissa glanced at them and snorted lightly. “Are you tired of standing?”

The six children glanced at her, unsure if she was expressing concern or implying something else, but they still responded earnestly, “No!”

After all, they had only been standing as punishment for a few minutes. How could they possibly be tired so quickly?

“True, standing in the corner as a form of punishment doesn't seem to have the same effect on you all anymore!” Arissa chuckled, but her tone caused Gavin and the rest to instinctively lower their heads and redirect their gaze at the wall.

Arissa observed their behavior, feeling a mixture of amusement and exasperation, though she managed to maintain a composed expression.

“For the upcoming week, none of you are permitted to access the internet on your phones or allowed to watch television!”

All six children exhibited expressions of anguish. Their individual interests were deeply intertwined with the internet. Now, they were not only barred from online activities but also deprived of the enjoyment of watching TV, including the cartoon series they were avidly following. © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

“Mommy...” The six children turned around, looking pitifully at Arissa.

Arissa showed no mercy. “Considering the punishment I've given you, it's quite lenient. Or would you rather run thirty kilometers instead?”

The six children blinked their eyes. Running a few kilometers might be doable for them, but thirty kilometers seemed too difficult.

Zachary was the first to lower his head, making a wise choice. “Mommy, go ahead and punish me. I admit my mistake!”

Oliver and Jasper took a quick glance at him then hurriedly followed suit, accepting the punishment from Arissa.

“Mommy, we agree too!” They certainly don't want to run thirty kilometers.

Quickly and discreetly, Jasper tugged at Tim's clothes, signaling him to accept immediately.

Tim understood and quickly nodded. “Mommy, if you don't want us to use our phones or watch TV, we won't!”

Seeing that they all agreed and no one was left behind, Gavin said, “Mommy, we promise not to use our phones. You can confiscate them!”

Jesse was pouting. She felt utterly miserable at the thought of not being able to watch cartoons or play games for the entire upcoming week.

Arissa glanced at the little girl, her voice lowered with an air of authority. “Mm?”

Jesse glanced at her, then replied in a soft voice, “Understood, Mommy!”

Arissa's gaze shifted across the group of children. None of the six dared to utter a word, as they were uncertain about what else she might have to say.

Deep down, they harbored a secret and felt a trace of guilt, fearful that she might discover it.

Gavin exchanged glances with Tim and Zachary, signaling with his gaze that they should tell Arissa the truth.

Otherwise, if she found out, they would get punished again.
