You Complete Me novel (Skylar and Coralie)

Chapter 443

Chapter 443

"Someone like him depends on this to make money."

Skylar had already investigated Yoel and knew that he was just a scammer. Therefore, he wasn't

surprised by his behavior.

"But he must have already collected a huge number of lawyer fees. Why does he suddenly want

Amelia to get a divorce? Is he really into Amelia?"

Coralie felt very puzzled.

"It's best if you don't get involved in this matter. Yoel is a complicated person."

"Well, I'd better tell Xenia about it."

Coralie was still worried about Xenia.

Skylar didn't object to this. He knew that if he didn't let Coralie take care of it, she would definitely get

herself involved in Xenia's business.

When the two arrived at Lillian's ward, they heard her instructing the servant to do something.

"Please lower the volume on the TV. It's not like we can't hear it."

"Yes, Madam."

"Open the window. The smell of soup is still lingering."

"Yes, Madam."

Coralie stood at the door. Although she didn't agree with Lillian's behavior, she did not want to say

much.

This was none of her business. She only had to live peacefully with Lillian.

"Mom, Coralie has completed the prenatal examination. If there is nothing else, I will send her back

first. Just tell me if you need anything and I will ask someone to send it over."

Skylar stood at the door and told Lillian, with Coralie next to him.

Before Lillian entered the ward, she had given various requests to Skylar, and the ward was now fully

equipped. There was a microwave, a laptop, humidifier, incense diffuser, wool slippers and so on.

"Alright. As long as you take good care of your wife and allow my grandson to be born safely, I won't

care about anything else."

Lillian didn't care about these things now. She simply said a few words and allowed Coralie to leave.

Coralie and Skylar had moved to a new house. The new house was relatively larger, and because

Coralie was pregnant now, Skylar had insisted on hiring several servants to take care of her basic

needs.

As soon as they entered the house, the servants laid out the slippers and hung their coats on the rack.

After Coralie changed into comfortable clothes, the servants immediately served her a cup of herbal

tea. This made Coralie feel extremely uncomfortable.

However, she was happy to learn that Skylar had decided to keep Clarice who had always been by her

side ever since she was hospitalized. Coralie and Clarice were both getting along very well with each

other.

Skylar then left because he had to take care of business in the company.

After he left, Coralie called Xenia and told her that Yoel was possibly a scammer who relied on his

looks.

"I've known it for a long time. My first impression of him from his appearance made me guess that he's

a gigolo."

Xenia immediately expressed her own thoughts.

In fact, Xenia had also sent people to check on Yoel's identity and this had confirmed her own

suspicions.

"Really? That's good, but how did you figure it out? I think Valerie’s mother seems to have been

deceived by him."

Coralie felt Amelia was a smart woman. If even Amelia had been deceived by Yoel, he must be

something else.

"Valerie's mother... I don't think I've seen her before. Is she as brainless as your mother-in-law, who

had easily been manipulated after a few sweet words?"

"No, her mother is quite smart, but I really don't understand why she hired Yoel as their lawyer..."

Coralie told Xenia about how Amelia had hired Yoel as Valerie's lawyer, leading to the rejection of

Valerie's third appeal. She had even been sentenced to prison right there and then.

Xenia then burst out laughing on the other side of the phone.

"Hahaha, are you sure that Valerie's mother is really smart? Did she really think that that model could

possibly be a lawyer? It's definitely not because Yoel's smart; it's definitely because of Amelia's

delusion. She actually thinks that this gigolo really likes her."

Xenia knew about Yoel's past, so she was not surprised that Amelia was being played. NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

"Well, anyway, it's good that you know about it. I'm just afraid that you are also being scammed by Yoel.

Dr. Felton is a very good man, don't miss the chance."

The reason why Coralie had said so was because she was afraid that Xenia might lose her mind and

choose Yoel instead of Harvey.

"Coralie, Harvey and I are impossible."

At the mention of Harvey, Xenia's tone became slightly down.

"What happened?"

"When I asked my grandfather, what if the mother-in-law doesn't attend the wedding? He then said that

it's better to not be married."

Xenia's eyelashes drooped slightly as she tightened her grip on the phone.

"Is this so important?"

"Yes, it's very important. I must think about Lowell Group's reputation before my own personal feelings."

"But..."

"There are no more 'but's. Anyway, I haven't been with him for long, not even half a year, so it's good

for both of us to end it now."

Coralie has always thought of Xenia as a carefree person who didn't take anything seriously.

However, her voice sounded sorrowful right then.

"Xenia, please don't lie to yourself. Why don't you ask Skylar to help you? Let Skylar explain to

Harvey's mother that the last meal arrangement had not been purposely forgotten about, but instead

something had happened to me."

Coralie did not know how to help Xenia now.

She only remembered that Laura used to compliment Skylar a lot, and the Lowell Group still held

Skyton Corporation in high regards.

"No, forget it. I've already decided to give up. That's it."

Xenia then hung up the phone quickly.

What Coralie did not know was that Xenia, who had just hung up the phone, burst into tears at her

desk.

Xenia finally realized that although she had decided this on her own accord, she had never told anyone

about her decision.

Only when she told this to Coralie, her heart shattered and she couldn't bear the pain.

Xenia laid her head on her desk and cried. Her colleagues knew about her identity, so no one dared to

go over and comfort her.

Xenia waited until it was time to get off work. When she walked out, her colleagues had already driven

back, leaving her car parked there all alone.

However, there was a man standing next to the car...

It was Harvey.

When she saw Harvey, Xenia immediately decided not to take the car. She quickly turned to leave.

However, Harvey already noticed her. He hurriedly ran over and called out to her. "Xenia."

"Dr. Felton, we have broken up. Why are you being so persistent?"

Xenia had just cried, and her eyes were really swollen. Fortunately, the sky was a little dark at that

moment, so she figured that Harvey would not be able to see it.

"Were you crying?"

Harvey had indeed noticed it.

"It's none of your business."

Xenia shook off Harvey's hand and wanted to leave.

"Xenia, can you give me a little more time? Believe me, I can persuade my mother."

"Really?" Hearing Harvey's words, Xenia then turned to him and asked, "It has been three months

since the last incident. Have you even tried talking to your mother?"

Upon hearing this, Harvey's face turned pale.

Indeed, he had been persuading Laura for the past three months. However, Laura had insisted that

unless Xenia cleaned up her act, she would not attend the wedding.

"Well, then let's not be in a relationship. Can we still be friends like before?"

As he held onto Xenia, he chose to take a step back before moving forward.
