You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 24 Will You Support Me?

As Elijah’s imposing figure entered the private room, Freya Stone was momentarily stunned, her entire body stiffening.

Maddox stood up, respectfully greeting, “Mr Silverton.”

Elijah’s gaze passed over Maddox’s face and landed on Freya Stone. She was usually plain-faced, never wore makeup, and dressed conservatively; he had never seen her in a strapless dress. The vivid red color accentuated her fair complexion.

Perceiving Freya’s hesitation, Maddox gave her a gentle nudge. “Quick, stand up and greet Mr Silverton.”

When Maddox’s hand touched Freya’s arm, Elijah’s expression darkened slightly. If it weren’t for his remaining composure, he might have rushed over and pulled her over.

Freya stood up, and her fitted long dress showcased her alluring figure, adding a touch of charm. Elijah lightly fanned his lashes, a glint disappearing swiftly from the depths of his eyes.

Nervous, Freya hadn’t anticipated meeting Elijah. If she had known, she would never have agreed.

She stuttered, “M-Mr Silverton…”

Maddox interrupted with a smile, “This is Miss Stone.”

With that, he asked Freya to pull out a chair for Elijah. She hesitated, her palm sweating. She didn’t know why she was so afraid of Elijah-maybe it was the constant humiliation or the need to be cautious around him.

She had to maintain a calm exterior while pretending not to recognize him. Opening the chair, she said, “Please, Mr Silverton.”

As Elijah sat down, Freya was about to leave when he grabbed her hand. Business meetings often involved the presence of beautiful women, and usually, the side seeking a favor would make such arrangements.

Women like her were meant to be sacrificed.

Elijah’s wife had fallen so low as to sell herself?

He let out a cold, mocking laugh.

Freya’s wrist was about to be crushed under his grip, the pain making her tremble. She wished she could pull her hand away and run, but doing so would attract Maddox’s attention. All she could do was endure, keep a smile on her face, and fawn over him.

Xander, standing behind Elijah, glanced at Freya, thinking that something seemed off about her.

Why was she exposing herself like this? If people found out she was Elijah’s wife, what would they think of his boss?

Elijah raised his eyes, glancing at her with a touch of coldness. He deliberately asked, “Mr Greyson, what’s the meaning of bringing a woman like this here?”

Maddox chuckled, noticing Elijah’s interest in Freya. “She’s a dance teacher in my wife’s dance studio. I thought it’d be nice to have her join us for some entertainment.”

“A dance teacher?” Elijah was surprised by this role. Wasn’t she a doctor? Nowadays, anyone could be a teacher?

“Yes, how about she performs a dance for us?” Maddox suggested with a smile.

Elijah picked up the napkin from the table, though his hands weren’t dirty, it seemed like an uncomfortable gesture. Standing up, he declared, “I prefer enjoying it alone.”

He then seized Freya Stone’s wrist, telling Xander, “Handle things here.”

Maddox hurriedly asked about the investment, but Elijah had already investigated the research results of Maddox’s company. He was willing to invest, but at the moment…This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

With a sly smile, Elijah said, “Let’s see how Miss Stone performs.”

The word “perform” was heavily emphasized.

Maddox wanted to say more, but Xander stopped him. “Mr Greyson, let’s discuss this.”

As Elijah’s assistant, Xander understood Elijah’s intentions.

Elijah pulled Freya out of the restaurant, shoving her into the car. “Freya Stone, I’ve underestimated you. What shameless things won’t you do?”

That night, he had been confused and infatuated with her. He had never allowed a woman to disturb and confuse his will and emotions to such an extent, affecting his normal mindset and reasoning ability. He was more angry at himself for losing control. In these past few days, he hadn’t returned to the villa, wanting to avoid a repeat of that incident. Yet, unexpectedly, this woman had once again entered his sight, in the same provocative manner!

Seeing her dressed so alluringly, attempting to please a man, he couldn’t help but want to strangle her. If it weren’t him today, would she have shown off her charm in front of another man?

The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. Uncontrollable rage surged into his brain, preventing him from thinking clearly. All he wanted was to possess this woman.

Freya was oblivious to his intentions until he forcefully covered her soft lips.

“Mmm…”

She tried to struggle, but her hands were quickly grabbed and pressed over her head, firmly against the chair back. Elijah was overbearing, showing no gentleness; it was more like punishment as he continued to forcefully claim her.

Her lips were soft, carrying a unique fragrance and a sense of familiarity, and he became more and more greedy.

Pain.

Freya shivered, feeling only pain.

She couldn’t resist, only endure.

After a few minutes, Elijah regained his composure, slowly releasing her lips. Lowering his gaze, he stared at her reddened, tender lips marked by his actions. His Adam’s apple moved up and down, his voice husky. “Freya Stone, as long as we are still husband and wife, I forbid you from showing yourself and seducing men. Do you understand?”

Freya’s heart trembled; she raised her moist eyes, her curled lashes carrying heavy moisture. Who did he think he was? Did he believe she was easy to bully?

She glared at him angrily. “Elijah, you took away my chance to go to the general hospital and made me lose my job. I need to live! If I don’t show myself, will you support me?”

Elijah was momentarily stunned. “Chance to go to the general hospital?”

Freya pushed him away, “Stop pretending! Wasn’t it you who had the director give my spot to Liora Valentine?”

“I didn’t…” Elijah quickly realized that he had indeed instructed the director to take care of Liora Valentine. Was Liora Valentine taking the spot reserved for her?

“You made me abandon my dream, Elijah. It’s getting farther and farther away. You deprived me of a job I loved. I hate you!” She gritted her teeth.

Freya stood up and pushed him away.

Elijah, unprepared, staggered a step back as she pushed him, appearing somewhat disheveled. Freya walked away hastily; she usually didn’t wear high heels, but for today’s outfit, she made an exception. Walking quickly, she accidentally twisted her ankle.

Quick to react, Elijah stepped forward and caught her in his arms. Her soft body landed against his chest, causing a brief flutter in Elijah’s heart. Her waist felt so delicate, as if a little force could break it.

Freya struggled and slapped him, “Let go!”

Ignoring her resistance, Elijah lifted her and placed her in the car, saying in a low voice, “Stop making a scene!”

His tone was less sharp than usual, containing more patience and reassurance.

Feeling wronged, Freya said, “What do you want from me? Do you only feel satisfied if you force me to die?”

Elijah turned away, hiding his expression from her, as he represented an uncontrolled emotional state.

“It’s because you don’t listen.” He replied.

Freya couldn’t help but laugh at his ridiculous assertion–he had been pressuring her all along, and now he was shifting blame?

“Elijah, I want a divorce!” At this moment, she didn’t care about the agreement she had signed with Jack Silverton.

She just wanted to get away from this man as quickly as possible. Otherwise, she would have no choice but to die!

Her words unexpectedly angered Elijah.

He turned around, his face displaying the usual coldness, and his gaze fierce, like a leopard eyeing its prey. “Don’t forget, you signed an agreement with my grandfather, promising not to divorce. What, are you going to break your word?”

Liora Valentine, emerging from the restaurant, happened to hear Elijah’s voice. Her eyes shifted toward them and widened as she saw Freya sitting in Elijah’s car.

Her pupils contracted sharply.
