I smile and look away before replying. “I don’t know? Maybe love just happened.”

She nods and smile at me. “The way he looks at you over the table, he’s my son and I know him better than anyone else. Please don’t make him go through the same pain he had been to before.”

I turned to look at her mother again.

“Thank you ma’am.” I giggled, there was silence for a while before she walks closer to me, holding my shoulder.

“I need your help. I’ll also talk to Waylen’s girlfriend about this too.”

Her voice was cracking again and she looks sad.

“What is it ma?”

“The two brothers… Chase and Waylen, help me get them back together.” She tells me slowly and my breathing stops.
