Winning Her Heart Again

Chapter 13: Mommy Loves You

Chapter 13: Mommy Loves You

"Mom, can I play in the living room?" David asks while I'm busy on my laptop. Diego has a business meeting out of the country, so I'm working from home. I just can't leave my son with our Maid.

"Why? You can play here. Don't worry. After I'm done with this, I'll play with you," I said and kissed him on his chicks. He pouted, and he's so cute.

"But, I want to play in the living room, Mom. I promise I won't go outside," he said, hugging me. I hugged him back and messed his hair.

"Fine, you know I can't resist you when you're doing that. Just call me if you're hungry or you need something, okay?" I said, and he nodded at me before going outside of our room.

I rest my back. I tried to forget him. I thought after those years, I would never see him again, but I was wrong. While David is growing, he looks like his father; he is like a carbon copy of him. He also had this attitude like him.

It's hard to escape from that nightmare, and even from here, I always carry it. While I'm looking at my son, I always see his father-those eyes, nose, lips, and even his eyebrows. The way he acted sometimes, he really looked exactly like his father. I wiped my tears; I couldn't stop thinking, what if one day they would see each other? I don't want that day to happen, but I know I can't stop it.

I don't want my son to see him because I know how ruthless he is, and I'm afraid that he will tell David that he doesn't have a son like him. I don't want my son to get hurt. I don't want him to experience what I had experienced with his father. I wouldn't say I like that one day. That man would push David away and say in front of him that he doesn't accept him as his son.

He and his family never liked me, and now I don't have any news about them. I never bother to do so.

What is important now is my son, nothing else.

After I was done working, I went to check on David, but he was not in the living room.

"David? Where are you?" I called him, but he didn't respond.

"Have you seen my son?" I asked one of the maids.

"He's just been playing here a while ago, ma'am," she answered, not knowing where David went.

I walked around and saw an open door. I was about to close that room when I heard Rustles. I thought it was some kind of mouse or what, but then when I entered, I saw David picking things inside the box. "What are you doing here, baby?" I asked him, which made him look at me and smile.

It's been a long time since this room was occupied. Our old stuff was stuck in here.

"Mommy, look what I found. "He extended his hand, showing a piece of paper.

He showed me a picture of that place. My expression changed in an instant.

"What about this baby? I told you not to come in this room, right?" I held his hand while he looked at the picture in my hands.

He nodded. "I just want to see that, Mom," he said, pointing at the picture.

"This place is far away from here, baby; you have to ride an aeroplane before going there, "I explained to him, hoping that he would understand.

"Airplane?! Mommy, I want to go there. Please! Take me there, Mom" he held my hand, begging me to do what he wanted.

I don't know, but when he said those words, I started to feel uneasy, maybe because I didn't want to go back there anymore.

"We can't baby, Your Daddy Uncle went there for a business meeting. Besides, we could go to another place. "I said, but he shook his head, and he had already made up his mind.

"Mommy, please. Can you talk to Daddy Uncle to take us there?" He pleased me. I don't know how to answer him.

"Do you really like to go there? What about your school? Mommy and Daddy Uncle are also busy doing business here, "I explained, which made him sad, and I didn't want to see him like that.

"I wanted to go there, Mom," he said and hugged me. He also kissed me on the cheek.

"Fine, but we have to talk to your Daddy Uncle first, okay?" I got the picture back on the box, held his hand, and went out of the room and locked it.NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.

He ran through the living room excitedly. The thing is I don't want to go back there, I also don't know how to tell Diego.

It was already late at night, and David and I were now lying on the bed.

"Mom," he called me while I was busy on my phone.

"What is it, baby?" I place my phone on the table and kiss him on his forehead.

"I'm just wondering why all of the kids are calling their father daddy while I'm calling my daddy Uncle?" His question made me nervous.

I was thinking about this day to come, and now it's really happening, and until now, I still don't know what to tell him.

"Baby, I don't think I can answer your question. Maybe you still can't understand what I mean for now. For now, maybe stop worrying about those things, okay? Just always remember that me and your Daddy Uncle loved you so much." I pinched his nose, and he hugged me.

"I love you too, mom. You promise me that we will go to that place," he said and yawned.

He still didn't forget about that picture. That's the first picture his father took me on our anniversary when we were still in love. I regret not burning those pictures.

I kissed his forehead and put a blanket on him.

"I love you, baby; Mommyy loves you no matter what happens."
