Twisted Ties of Love

Chapter 385

When Nathaniel called out Izabella's name, all eyes were on her.

Izabella pretended not to hear him and didn't move an inch after putting down her phone after her recent text.

Garen nudged Izabella gently with his elbow, saying, "He's calling you, Belle. Go over there."

Izabella wanted to continue playing dumb, but it wasn't just about her acting skills anymore. No Oscar-worthy performance could ignore this.

Dereck stepped in and said, "Izabella, Mr. Krueger wants you to join him. Go, he's not someone to mess with."

Spotting Izabella heading towards the director's chair, Kristin, who had been trying hard to keep her act together, froze on the spot.

"Cut!" Brad had to pause the shooting. He couldn't continue with how downhill Kristin's performance was going.

Nathaniel wasn't just here for the drama; he was here specifically to mess with Kristin.

Although Brad was dissatisfied with Kristin, he wasn't the type to bully others.

"Mr. Krueger, perhaps we should take a break?"

Nathaniel asked, "How many takes have we done?"

"Three times."

"Only three?" Nathaniel was clearly not satisfied with this: "Kristin, are you planning to leave or keep filming?"

Kristin's face flushed with embarrassment, and her eyes welled up with tears. She wanted to leave, but she knew she couldn't. If she left, she might not be able to return, and Nathaniel might find other ways to torment her.

"I want to continue filming," she said, her voice choking with tears.

Nathaniel turned to Brad and said, "See? She wants to keep filming, so let's continue."

Brad nodded, and the shoot resumed.

Kristin tried to fix her makeup. Looking at her swollen face in the mirror with some unknown liquid in her hair, she felt nauseous, and tears began to flow.

The makeup artist asked, shocked, "Are you okay?"

Okay? How could she be okay? She looked at Izabella. Why was she being humiliated here while Izabella just sat and watched like a spectator?

Kristin was becoming twisted. She blamed all her misery on Izabella, convinced that Izabella had said something, which led to Nathaniel treating her this way. The hatred for Izabella was deep. This Izabella was just like the old Izabella.

The makeup artist, startled by Kristin's gaze, accidentally messed up her eyeliner.

In a panic, the makeup artist wiped it off and started over, apologizing repeatedly.

Kristin's gaze was sharp as a knife. If it weren't for all the people around, she would have exploded by now.

Izabella chose to stand with Brad instead of sitting next to Nathaniel, which displeased him.

"Bell" was becoming disobedient. He'd specifically come to see her, yet she didn't even show a hint of friendliness, damaging his confidence.

The old Bell was so much better; she would come over at his slightest hint. It seemed her time away had truly changed her.

The once hopeful kitten had become a wildcat, but Nathaniel still liked this new side of her. This version of her made him feel a sense of conquest.

"I recently watched that variety show

you were on. barely recognized you. I'm curious how you've changed so much in such a short time. Your acting is nothing like before." This question had been bothering Nathaniel. What had caused her

drastic change?

People change due to their environment and human nature, but such a drastic change in such a short time was like becoming a completely different person. It could only be explained by a mental illness, like multiple personality disorder.

"Meeting too many bad people naturally leads to change. If I hadn't changed, I might not have been able to protect myself," Izabella replied, causing both Brett and Nathaniel to feel mocked. Nathaniel looked at the familiar yet strange face. Her skin was flawless, and under the light, even the tiny blood vessels on her neck were visible, as if they would leave a mark with a slight pinch. He reached out and grabbed Izabella's slender wrist. "Bell, it's been a while, hasn't it?"

His touch made her skin crawl like she was being wrapped by a snake. Izabella felt disgusted, but she kept her calm. Indeed, it had been a long time.

Nathaniel smiled at her, and Izabella smiled back. Her smirk was sarcastic and insincere, yet to Brett, she seemed flirtatious.

Her mocking gaze made Nathaniel dizzy, and before he could react, he was punched in the face.

The punch left Nathaniel reeling. He quickly regained his senses and threw a punch at Brett.

Chaos ensued. The director couldn't evacuate the equipment in time, and the closest one was knocked over and shattered.

Izabella watched as the equipment broke, then looked at Brad's surprised face, as if she could hear his heart breaking.

There were shouts and attempts to stop the fight, but no one dared to approach. Brett and Nathaniel were like two mad dogs, throwing punches at each other's most vulnerable areas, their stomachs or faces. Brett's pent-up rage finally exploded, his eyes filled with malice like a bloodthirsty lion. Watching Nathaniel touch Izabella's hand, he wished he could beat him to death.

Yeah, he should have gone after him! He should have dealt with Nathaniel a long time ago. If it weren't for Nathaniel, Izabella wouldn't have suffered so much. If it weren't for Nathaniel, Izabella wouldn't have died in a fire.

He grabbed something at random and smashed it aganinst Nathaniel's head. Nathaniel dodged, squinting at the camera equipment just three centimeters away from him.

Brett really wanted to kill him!

Suddenly there was chaos all around noisy and turbulent. Only Izabella was watching with interest, her eyebrows slightly furrowed. She was a bit sorry that Brett missed it.

If Brett really killed Nathaniel, it could be said that he had avenged Bell, and Brett would also face legal sanctions. For intentional homicide, life imprisonment was the minimum penalty; it could even be more

severe.

Only Liam knew that these two often fought, but it was never too serious; at most, they'd both end up in the ICU.

However, seeing Brett's fierce momentum, Liam's heart pounded, and it took a while to suppress that feeling of tension.

"President Windham, this is a public

place. There are cameras

everywhere, don't be impulsive; Miss

sitting

Salotti is watching." Liam said, glancing at Izabella, who was there as if nothing had happened. He thought if someone gave her a bag of sunflower seeds now, she'd probably start eating right away.

Nathaniel and Brett had had quite a few fights before, but this was the first time they'd done it in front of so many people, and it was extremely awkward. His mouth was cut; Brett's fist smashed into his face; he felt his teeth loosen; he swallowed the blood in his mouth.

"Brett, have you gone mad?"

People got sick for a reason. To those present, they were just angry because of a woman, and everyone knew who that woman was.

Nathaniel asked Izabella to sit back. Even though he didn't know what had happened, it was indeed when Nathaniel approached Izabella that Brett started the fight.

This kind of situation wasn't even dared to be dramatized in TV shows; bystanders were advising not to fight, but in fact, they were secretly recording with their phones. The two were pulled apart by bodyguards and assistants.

Brett got up and loosened his tie. "Don't touch her."

"Brett, what gives you the right to tell me not to touch her?" Content held by NôvelDrama.Org.
