Chapter 3 Not the Same Kind of People

Chapter 3 Not the Same Kind of People

“No! I overcooked it for dinner and left it at the bottom. Don't worry, the soup is clean and I haven't

touched it!” Elizabeth murmured. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

She had just left her period, and the reason she cooked this dinner was to replenish her own blood.

She did not expect that a man would have it!

Elizabeth took out a mat and spread it on the ground beside the bed. Then she said lightly, “You were

injured, sleep on the bed!”

“Hum! What do you want from me?” After he finished the soup, the man put down the bowl and asked

coldly.

He knew all kinds of women, who were pure, sweet, sexy, mature, whatever.

But often they approached him because of his background and wanted to get something out of him.

Therefore, although he knew many women, he did not touch any of them.

He knew how to keep him clean.

But tonight, he did not know why he had failed to control himself and had an impulse towards this

woman.

Hearing this man speaking to her with cold tone, Elizabeth squinted her eyes and said angrily, “Sir, is

there a problem with your brain since you lost too much blood? You climbed to my room, kissed me

and fainted on my bed. If it were not you injured, I will not let you stay and take care of you. You are

injured badly and were hunted. I will be thankful if you don’t bring trouble to me.”

She was always kind and would take care of any dog or cat that got hurt.

The man was stunned. He had lived for twenty-four years, and it was the first time he had heard such

words from a woman.

Elizabeth did not look at the man any more. She put away the phone and lied down on the mat.

She did not care if he slept or not, she was tired and wanted to have a sleep.

Besides, the wound in the man's abdomen had just been sewn on, so he should not have the intention

to hurt her.

“That was your first kiss?” asked the man.

Elizabeth soon fell asleep, but answered sleepily, “Hmm...”

Yeah!

It was her first kiss...

She wanted to leave it to his boyfriend Conor Wood, but was taken away by this man.

Elizabeth felt asleep with regret.

The man smiled and appreciated the woman with her straightforward personality. He said,

“Coincidentally, that was also my first kiss.”

But she did not hear him, for she was already asleep.

He admired her cooking. He did not like to eat pig liver, but he had had the Pig liver soup with red

jujube and medlar”!

“You saved me, I took away your first kiss and touched you, how about I marry you?” The man asked.

But he could only hear Elizabeth’s breath of sleeping.

The man smiled after he realized that she had fallen asleep.

She didn't seem to take him seriously!

He had had a deja vu for this woman from the moment he kissed her.

It was subtle, but it felt like it was meant to be.

Elizabeth woke up in the early morning in the second day. There was still no electricity at home.

After waking up, Elizabeth found herself lying on the bed, rather than the mat beside the bed.

The thoughts in her mind came to a halt. She sat up suddenly, remembering things happened last

night.

There was a mat on the floor beside the bed, an empty bowl on the bedside table, and no one else in

the room.

Was she sleepwalking last night?

Just when Elizabeth thought she experienced a nightmare last night, she inadvertently looked down

and found the bloodstained marks in her nightgown. She was shocked.

Last night was not a dream!

The man...

Elizabeth got down from the bed quickly, opened the door and looked around. At the same time, she

breathed a sigh of relief, considering that the man had been picked up by his companion last night.

But it was good!

Now she was just an ordinary junior college student, studying in the freshman year.

In this big city, Elizabeth had to earn money to support herself and pay for her boyfriend’s tuition for

graduate school.

The life of Elizabeth was stressed already, so she was not affordable to take care of one more person.

And last night, it was like a dream. Although she lost the first kiss, she saved a person's life for doing

something good for her grandmother.

Elizabeth relieved with a smile, and left the things happened behind.

She took off her blood-stained nightgown and went into the bathroom, intending to take a bath. The

electricity was off all night and she smelled of sweat.

Standing in front of the bath mirror, Elizabeth was startled by a jade pendant hanging around her neck.

On the jade pendant was a word “Marsh” winding by a dragon.

Did the man leave it to her last night? But why did he leave a jade pendant for her? This jade pendant

looked precious!

She did not know about that man and he was hunted. So his identity must not be simple!

Was it someone from the underworld? Or in politics? Or...Anyway, no matter what the man's status

was, she didn't want to get involved in his troubles!

Elizabeth made up her mind, took off the jade pendant from her neck and threw it in the washstand.

“A new day is a new beginning. Elizabeth, go fight!”

After taking a bath and changing clothes, Elizabeth stood in front of the fitting mirror to cheer herself

up.

When she was ready to go out, the door of the other room opened.

Snow Sue, a friend who shared a flat with her, walked out from her bedroom disheveled and slippered,

yawning.

Elizabeth greeted her with a smile, “Good morning, Snow!”

“Good morning, Elizabeth, why do you go to work so early?” Snow stretched lazily, looking at Elizabeth

with her sleepy eyes.

Snow was from the same city of Elizabeth. They were university classmates and roommates. She was

Elizabeth’s bestie. And now they were hired by same decoration company as interns, so they became

colleagues.

But the personalities of them were completely different.

Snow was lazy but worshiped money. She changed boyfriends faster than changing clothes. And she

especially liked the rich handsome men.
