True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2107

Chapter 2107

Sylvia was stunned again by Claudia's bold words. She stared at Claudia wordlessly for a long time, her jaw hanging wide enough to stuff an egg into her mouth.

"Come on. You don't have to look at me with that kind of expression." Claudia ran her fingers through her hair as she looked at Sylvia. She did not shy away from Sylvia's questioning gaze.

Sylvia was a little embarrassed. "How can you admit it so naturally?"

Claudia responded with a chuckle. "Why not? I've already told Sebastian I'm interested in him. What's more, he told me that he's not a kid. He's just my type, so how could I let him go?"

Sylvia had nothing to say in response.

She could only think that Claudia was a weird one.

Sylvia had always thought of herself as a little eccentric until she met Claudia.

"Did Sebastian really say that to you?" Sylvia was still a little skeptical as she had always known Sebastian as a man of a few words.

"It's the truth. You can ask Ernest about it as he was there too," Claudia answered.

"Oh my god!" Sylvia exclaimed. "There must be a reason for it. Otherwise, he wouldn't say something like that in front of Ernest."

"Of course." Claudia said, "Sometimes, you have to listen carefully to understand the meaning of one's words."

"So that's how it is," Sylvia mused. "I'm a little curious about that. You met all my brothers, but why Sebastian? Isn't Gary much better?" "But none of them are as pure as Sebastian. He's the ideal man. Pure, young, inexperienced. Nothing like the other two," said Claudia. "Pfffi"

Sylvia never expected to hear someone describe Sebastian that way.

She could not help bursting into laughter.

Claudia smiled proudly and said, "I don't care about men that are taken. I won't do something so shameless as to steal another woman's man. But, if someone sets their eyes on my man, I won't hesitate to fight them."

Sylvia laughed. An admiration for Claudia rose in her heart.

Sylvia thought that Claudia was adorable.

She was also very straightforward.

"I like you and your views of life," Sylvia said sincerely. "You have a one-of-a-kind attitude."

"So, do you want me to be your sister-in-law?" Claudia was smiling ear-to-ear.

Sylvia was stunned again. "Wait, why do I feel like you're tricking me into something?"

Claudia rolled her eyes. There was a glimmer in her gaze. "What trick?"

"So you would rather become my sister-in-law instead of me becoming your cousin- inlaw?" Sylvia was not a fool and saw through Claudia without difficulty.

Claudia laughed when she heard that. She slapped her thigh and said, "I didn't expect you to guess my thoughts. I admit that it is part of the reason. "But I do have another reason, so it's like killing two birds with one stone.

"I truly did fall for Sebastian at first sight. Wouldn't it be amazing to be able to achieve two things at once?"

Sylvia let out a long sigh. "Aren't you at least five years older than him?"

"That's right." Claudia nodded.

"The age gap is quite big. I wonder if my parents would accept it, let alone Sebastian himself.

Anyway, I wish you good luck," Sylvia said with another sigh.

Claudia was not worried at all. "I believe in making things happen. That's how it is. We set a goal, and we march towards it at all cost."

"But I think it is a little impossible with Sebastian," Sylvia cautioned.

"Indeed. Now that I think about it, it feels like it's easier for you to go after my cousin," said Claudia. Despite that, she remained optimistic.

Sylvia was a little worried. "So far, none of the male members of our family have a partner who is older than them. So that's why it would be a little difficult for you. I hope you won't get too hurt and come to me crying."

"Aren't you going to help me?" Claudia asked.

"Before I help you, I'll have to see whether Sebastian has feelings for you too. I wouldn't want to force him."

"You have such strong principles," Claudia said, a little disappointed. She looked at Sylvia and added, "But I'm going to help you. Won't you do the same for me? Aren't you afraid of ruining our relationship?"

"Of course! But I don't want to have a guilty conscience," Sylvia explained. "How about this? If I notice that he has even the slightest interest in you, I'll help you. Okay?"

Claudia burst out laughing. "All right. In exchange, I'll give my cousin a call now to sound him out."

"What?" As soon as Sylvia heard that Claudia was going to call Kendrix, she immediately became nervous. It was as if she was sitting on pins and needles, and she did not know what to do.

Claudia found it a little funny when she saw Sylvia like that. "Don't be so nervous. Kendrix is a human, not some tiger who bites. Why so nervous?" "I'm nervous and excited," Sylvia replied.

"Look at how timid you are." Claudia tried to cheer her on by saying, "Cheer up, and don't be so cowardly."

"Well, I admit that I'm only afraid of him but no one else. I am a proud person, after all." Sylvia raised her head high and sat up straight.

Claudia glanced at Sylvia and said, "Don't push yourself. You still have to put in some work into your body's development. Why not try drinking milk every day?"

Sylvia lowered her head and looked at her chest, feeling a little speechless.

When would Sylvia look more mature? Sylvia wondered.

"Don't be so anxious. It'll happen sooner or later," Claudia said reassuringly. "I think a man like Kendrix would still prefer his woman a little curvier." Sylvia's face fell, and her shoulders drooped.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Who didn't want to look sexy and curvy? Sylvia thought to herself.

But Sylvia was young and her body was still developing, so she still had a chance.

As Sylvia was caught up in her thoughts, Claudia dialed Kendrix's number.

Claudia switched it to speakerphone. The phone rang for quite some time, but Kendrix did not pick up.

Sylvia's heart was at her throat, at a loss at what to do.

She took a deep breath and watched as Claudia dialled the number again.

Finally, someone picked up after three rings.

Kendrix's voice came from the other end of the line. "Where are you?"

"In my future cousin-in-law's boudoir," Claudia said, deliberately

glancing at Sylvia. The o

looked at Sylvia, Sylvia's face turned red

Sylvia's heart skipped a bit as she wondered what he would say.

Then, Kendrix said coldly, "Your professor is asking you for your thesis."

"Oh, no!"

Claudia's expression changed at the mention of her thesis.

"I was wrong," Claudia wailed. "Help me delay things."

"Why should I?" Kendrix retorted.

"Why don't I send you a picture of Sylvia's room as a token of thanks?"

"Claudia Loris," Kendrix said in a warning tone.

Claudia pouted. "All right. Tell the professor haven't done my thesis. I'm sure the professor would be glad to know I'm helping you out with your love life."

Kendrix was silent for a while.

There was no sound for a moment.

Sylvia was anxiously listening to the conversation. She did not

understand what Claudia meant, but she knew Claudia was not as simple as she thought. After all, not many dared to speak to Kendrix like that.

Sylvia was disappointed to hear no response from Kendrix. She was hoping he would mention her.

However, not only did he not mention her, but she had no idea what he was thinking.

"Why don't you say a thing?" Claudia asked. "Is it because you don't believe that I'm in Sylvia's room?"

"I'm going back tomorrow," Kendrix suddenly said.

"What?" Claudia was astonished. "Didn't you say that you would stay for a few more days? Why the sudden change?"

Even Sylvia was a bit shocked. How could that happen?

If Kendrix left the next day, Sylvia would never see him again. Sylvia thought to herself.

Sylvia looked at Claudia and the phone again.

She desperately wished that he would appear in front of her right at that moment.

Claudia blinked and said, "Well, leave if you want. I'll be staying in Northern City for a few days. Don't worry about me."

Kendrix hung up the phone without saying anything.

Sylvia slumped onto the bed. She did not move. It was as if someone had separated her soul from her body.

Her mind was a blank.

Looking at how dispirited she was now, Claudia said, "Don't be so depressed. It's a good thing."

"He's leaving," Sylvia mumbled.

"Yes, he did say that." Claudia's eyes gleamed as she stared at Sylvia. "He's leaving tomorrow. And you might never see him again in the future."

At the thought of that, Sylvia's chest tightened.

It hurt.

In the blink of an eye, she was down in the dumps.

Claudia sighed. "It seems that you're truly in love. I don't understand. What part of him makes you so in love with him?"

"You don't understand how great he is. No one can understand it either," Sylvia said.

"Let me ask you," Claudia said solemnly. "If he left just like that, would you not be able to recover from this setback?"

"Of course." Sylvia shook her head immediately. "I would go find him in the future."

Claudia laughed when she heard that answer.

"Well, it seems like you can be strong about it. Let me ask you one more thing."

"What is it?"

"Don't you think it strange that he wants to leave so suddenly?"

Sylvia paused for a moment, her mind whirring. She was a little confused.

"And he said that after knowing I'm in your room,"

Claudia added.

"Are you saying he meant that sentence for me?" Sylvia could hardly believe it.

Claudia smiled and said, "Clever girl."
