True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2094

Chapter 2094

"Sylvia, tell me again what happened with Mr. Trevino. In detail." Leah felt that she needed to understand more about it so that she could see if there was anything she had missed out on.

That was the only way she could fully analyze the situation.

When Sylvia thought of that embarrassing scene, her expression changed, and she looked conflicted.

It was clear that she did not want to mention Kendrix anymore. It pained her too much.

Leah knew that it would be painful for Sylvia to talk about it. However, she still felt that there was something odd about that matter.

Leah wanted to help Sylvia analyze the situation clearly.

Leah looked at Sylvia and said seriously, "I just have a feeling that Mr. Trevino isn't that kind of person. Think about it. If he really had a girlfriend, why would he still want you to get first place? Why would he bother about that?"

Sylvia thought about it for a while. It still pained her, and she felt utterly hopeless. She said in a depressed tone, "That's because he's a teacher! Even though he's just a temporary teacher and won't be teaching for long, he's still a teacher. At the very least, he has been a role model for others over the past few months. It's not wrong of him to want me to get first place, right?"

Leah felt that Sylvia was being way too pessimistic.

She had received a heavy emotional blow.

And she could not seem to lift herself out of her low spirits.

"Don't be so pessimistic," Leah said. "How does his girlfriend look like? Is she beautiful?"All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Sylvia thought for a while before nodding. "She's beautiful, mature, and poised. In short, she's a perfect match for him. Even I was awed by her beauty, let alone Mr. Trevino."

Sylvia was really a kind girl.

She did not harbor any sense of hostility when she was talking about her rival in love. She even felt inferior. There were not many women who were as innocent as Sylvia.

"But I still think that it's strange because this isn't the impression I had of Kendrix."

Sylvia sat down on the edge of the bed and rubbed her hands over her hair in frustration. It

seemed like she was in a really bad state.

She pouted and said in a soft voice, "He has always been cold toward me, and I know why. It's because he has always thought of me as a young girl with an unattractive body."

When Leah heard that, she pursed her lips.

"A woman with a good body also starts out without it. No one is born with a perfect body," Leah comforted her. "What's the rush? When you're in your twenties, you'll definitely be a mature, sexy, and charming woman."

"That's right." Sylvia nodded, her eyes glinting. "I admit it. I've been too arrogant. All these years, I always thought that I could have everything I wanted. But I failed. I can't even win a man's heart. I have wasted my life."

When Leah heard Sylvia lamenting so pitifully, she pursed her lips again. She did not know whether she should laugh or cry.

"Silly girl, you're still only a teenager," Leah said.

"But, my heart feels tired and weathered. My heart was broken before I even got into a relationship." Sylvia lowered her head, looking miserable. It was like she did not have a single ounce of energy in her.

Now, her mental state had received a shock from the heartbreak.

"What are you going to do now? Are you going to give up?" Leah asked.

"Give up?" Sylvia raised her head and glanced at Leah. She shook her head and said firmly, "No way. But I won't be a mistress either. First of all, I need to confirm whether that's his girlfriend or not. Then, I want to find out why he has to leave the school so soon.

"At first, he said that he'd stay for a few months. But now, he's leaving after just a short time here. It's not like him to just run away.

"I've given it some thought, and Leah, you're right. There really is something strange about the whole situation. Many things seem suspicious. I was caught off guard and couldn't think clearly, but I've returned to my senses now."

"That's the spirit," Leah said encouragingly. "No matter what, we need to keep a clear head."

Sylvia said with determination, "I need to find out what's going on first. Besides, as long as Mr. Trevino isn't married, I still have a chance. Now, my primary goal is to become a top student. That's how I can get even more opportunities to appear by Kendrix's side in the future.

"If Kendrix is still single by the time I graduate, then I'll continue to pursue him. But if he's married, I'll wish him all the happiness in the world."

Leah was very surprised. She did not expect Sylvia to have such thoughts.

Although she was a mischievous young lady, playing tricks on others and causing a little trouble, she was still a kind girl.

Leah could not help but feel moved.

"I'm very happy that you can think

that way," Leah said sincerely. "No matter what, you have to maintain your composure. Even if some

things don't turn out the way we

want them to, we must not abandon our principles. We need to maintain our morals. Life will definitely reward us if we do that."

"Leah, you think I'm being admirable, don't you?" Sylvia was still just a little girl, and she could not help feeling proud after getting praised like that. "Of course!" Leah replied with a smile.

She admired Sylvia wholeheartedly.

Looking at Sylvia carefully, Leah felt that Sylvia had finally reverted to being the bright and happy girl she usually was.

Sylvia was truly a dazzling presence.

She would definitely be a charming girl in the future.

Leah hoped that Kendrix would not regret his decision.

At that moment, Leah's phone rang.

It was Rowane.

Leah immediately answered the call. "Rowane?"

he

"Leah, the court hearing for the lawsuit with Hogan won't be held during the Spring Festival anymore It'll be delayed to after the Spring Festival Hogan is still in prison, and the Wells family has looked for Mom plenty of times. They're still trying to get me to change my mind," said Rowane.

"Then what are your plans?" Leah asked.

"Don't get me wrong," Rowane immediately explained. "I won't have any other thoughts about Hogan anymore. That's what I told Mom too."

Leah sighed with relief. "That's great.

I didn't want you to treat him like this, but you have to think about

what's best for you. He won't change, and he can't treat you well. He'll only hurt you even more. If you don't use the law to protect yourself now, you're just an idiot,

understand?"

"I know," Rowane replied. "You don't have to worry about me. I've learned my lesson."

"If you have, then that's great. You should study hard. That's the best way for you to change your life around."

"You're right. I've already started attending some classes," Rowane said.

"That's great!" Leah exclaimed. After talking briefly, Leah hung up the phone. She felt gratified.

Meanwhile, the three Jones brothers had arrived at where Kendrix was staying. He was now living in an apartment on the school's compound.

After they arrived, they parked their car downstairs. They were in no hurry to knock on Kendrix's door. They merely stared in the direction of his apartment upstairs.

Sebastian pointed at one of the windows and said, "The dark room without any lights on is Mr. Trevino's apartment."

"The lights are all off. Does that mean that he has left?" Ernest asked.

Gary glanced at the apartment and said, "Ernest, drive the car a little further away. Don't stop the car here."

Ernest was surprised. But he understood why Gary had asked him to do so.

Kendrix was a policeman, so he would certainly be on his guard if he saw such an expensive car parked there.

"I think it'd be better to have Clinton drive a more common and affordable car over here. We'll change cars," Ernest suggested.

Gary nodded. "Okay."
