True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2064

Chapter 2064

Celeste was annoyed as she knew Gary did that on purpose.

She gritted her teeth and grumbled, "Gary Smith."

He raised his eyebrows and corrected, "No, I'm not Gary Smith anymore. It's Gary Jones."

She was taken aback, she hadn't expected him to be waiting for her to say those words.

It was true that he was not a Smith anymore.

His surname was now Jones.

She could not describe what she was feeling, but there was a bitterness in her heart. Maybe it was because she was supposed to be a Stone.

She thought about how Sinclair was her father and how Cindy had killed her birth mother indirectly.

Cindy and Sinclair had a toxic relationship. Celeste felt helpless thinking about what those two had done.

She was happy that he changed his surname, yet bitter for herself because she couldn't.

But soon, she sorted out her emotions.

She pursed her lips and said, "I haven't had time to congratulate you. Finally, you have the same surname as Uncle Heinz."

"What's there to congratulate?" Gary noticed her blank expression, and he remembered her situation.

Perhaps, it triggered her painful memories.

"Well, Uncle Heinz must have been waiting for this moment for a long time. And you're finally an official member of the family. Your parents must be happy." She smiled and explained.

He looked at her, and his lips twitched. He said, "Actually, it has nothing to do with them. I only wanted to take this opportunity to start all over again." She didn't expect him to say that.

She was slightly stunned for a while before lowering her eyes. Start over, huh?

So he wanted it too.

But it was easier said than done as some memories were carved into one's mind.

Gary showed a self-deprecating smile. He knew Celeste had always been a smart girl and knew everything.

He did mean something else.

He was saying those words to test her, but the disappointment was the answer he received.

He didn't have any hope this time. He just hoped that she could understand his feelings of wanting a chance to start over.

However, it was obvious that she was playing dumb.

She pretended not to understand.

"Anyway, congratulations." Celeste looked up at him with a smile, saying, "Let's eat."

Grace and Heinz were watching them. Although there was some distance between the living and dining space, it was still an open concept area. She didn't want them to be worried about her and Gary.

"Eat some more," Gary said to her with a smile too, "You have lost weight these past two days."

"Okay." She nodded and said softly, "You've lost weight too. Eat more."

He was shocked that she had noticed.

He didn't know whether he should feel sad or gratified as she insisted on not giving them another chance.

He felt that they were only torturing each other by staying together. They had feelings for each other but couldn't be together.

They were asking for it.

Unfortunately, he couldn't control a thing.

He would have exposed her act if he was still the him from the past.

But now, he was reluctant to part with her, even if they only had this bit of time.Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

Even if this was just an act they put together, he wanted to cherish these moments.

They chatted from time to time while eating, but they were just polite exchanges.

Grace, who was watching TV in the living room, looked at them several times. Finally, she couldn't help but ask her husband in a low voice.

"Why do I still feel that something is wrong? Your son is useless. He can't even make things work with Celeste."

Hearing this, Heinz felt indignant. "It's not that my son is useless. It's just that women are bad-tempered. They're not easy to deal with." She frowned when she understood that he meant that she was bad-tempered.

"Do you think men are easier to deal with? They're dumb and arrogant. Every time they make a mistake, they would never admit them."

"Hey, why do I feel like you're attacking me? Wasn't this about our son? I'm so much better than him." He stared at her with puppy dog eyes, hoping she would stop insulting him.

Looking at him, she snorted, "Better than him? It doesn't seem like it either."

"Hush!" Heinz immediately made a gesture of silence with a pleading face. "Can't you save me some face in front of the children?"

Grace also looked at Celeste and Gary before lowering her voice to warn him, "I don't care what situation are we in now, but you have to think of a solution. I don't want them breaking up."

Can't f

"Can we interfere with their decision, or what fate has installed for them? If they're fated to be together, they will be. We can't just force them. Plus, nothing good comes out from force. The only thing we can't control is how long we live." is vojce was low as he continued, "Let's just do what we can base on the situation, okay?"

She frowned. "Where's Janice? Has she arrived in Northern City?"

Heinz nodded. "But don't worry. Gary has already sent someone to control Janice. It's not convenient for me to let them know that I already know about this, so we can only wait and see."

Although Grace had more to say, she had to bear with it.

Although she was worried about this issue, this was ultimately their matter, and she didn't have a say in it.

Neither of them had the mood to continue watching the show on the TV. They tooked at Gary and Celeste from time to time. The more they looked at them, the more they felt that it was up to the children Grace sighed.

The two love birds were acting a little too polite and distant with each other.

She knew it was a farce that they were putting on. It was completely different from the way they were before.

They thought she would not find out, but she was so much more experienced than them. She quietly watched their show from the living room.

Since they wanted her to not know, she would play dumb.

Suddenly, Heinz's phone rang. He glanced at it and said, "I'm going upstairs to pick up a call. Do you want to come with me?"

"Nope. I want to watch TV for a bit more." Grace had not forgotten her task to keep an eye on them.

"Forget it. I won't go either," Gary said as he picked up the phone.

His subordinate's voice came from over the phone, "President, Master Gary asked me to lock Janice up, but she has been fussing since then." "Does this have anything to do with us? Heinz asked.

So what if she had been fussing?

The other party froze and said, "I'm worried that someone might die."

"That's why I've asked you to keep an eye on her," Heinz said solemnly, "You know the request. Don't drag me down."

"Got it," said his subordiante.

"Do your job properly and you would be rewarded."

"Thank you, President."

The strange call caught Gary and Celeste's attention as Heinz had been speaking so solemnly as if he was dealing with work matters.

Both of them looked at Heinz.

Heinz hung up the phone.

He turned his head and noticed Gary and Celeste looking at him.

Heinz raised his voice and said, "What are you looking at, Gary? Hurry up and finish your meal."
