“Okay, Sir. We’ll head to the destination right away,” Pedro says, leading Marco towards the black car that will take him to see the progress of the ongoing project.

“What about the casino and other clubs?” Marco asks, causing Pedro to start looking at the gathered files.

“It seems our casino and clubs are not affected, or maybe they’re finding other ways to lower our guard,” Pedro says, making Marco clench his fists.

“Where is that scoundrel now?” Marco asks again.

“Carlos is still in Italy, and Jacob’s whereabouts are still untraceable,” Pedro replies.

“How long will that little rat hide from me? Doesn’t he have the courage after the chaos he caused?” Marco says, making Pedro nod.

“I’m still trying to trace Jacob’s whereabouts. So, what should we do about Carlos?” Pedro asks.

“Monitor all his movements. See what he will do, as he will surely contact his son,” Marco says, prompting Pedro to nod until they monitor the projects in Chicago to observe their progress and the losses currently incurred by Jovanka. Seeing assets with a declining graph makes Marco brainstorm.

“Have they paid all the damages I’ve suffered?” Marco asks, causing Pedro to nod.

“Yes, Sir. This is all they have sent to us.”

“So, what decision have they made?” Marco asks again.

“They plead to rejoin.”

“In that case, do what we have to do, make them beg, and don’t make it easy for them,” Marco says. This is how Marco checks the progress of his projects every day, monitors everything, and solves every problem caused by Jacob. Eventually, Marco instructs Pedro to prepare for his visit to his beloved uncle. It seems that by meeting the source of the problem, Marco will quickly resolve what keeps him separated from Letta. “They are just doing their duty to always follow the orders of their master. They also have the obligation to protect me. Uncle knows, it’s not just one or two enemies I have. My enemies are not just people I don’t even know; some are closest to me, openly opposing me. So they are just being cautious. Understandable,” Marco says, making Carlos look at him as if what they are saying is directed at him.

“I’m just a little curious about where my beloved uncle has been all this time without any news after our last meeting. Initially, I was calm, but I received information that someone claimed there’s a problem I’m facing now, and it involves Uncle’s interference. So, I want to get a direct explanation so that I don’t misunderstand. Uncle knows that once I take action, you won’t be able to move an inch,” Marco says, causing Carlos to straighten his posture, as if wary of what Marco just said.

“What kind of explanation do you want?” Carlos asks, as if he truly has no idea about the purpose of Marco’s visit. Marco then changes his facial expression that he has been trying to make amiable. He stares at Carlos with a sharp look, firm jaw.

“What are you talking about? I don’t understand what you mean right now,” Carlos says again, making Marco straighten his body, looking towards the mansion currently occupied by Carlos. This mansion is, of course, not an ordinary one; it’s equivalent to the mansion he occupies in Chicago. Its price is even several times higher, and as Marco heard from Pedro, Carlos has moved from country to country, settling in mansions with a not much different price tag.

“I had no idea my uncle had this much wealth. Where did you get it?” Marco asks with a scrutinizing look, causing Carlos to clench his fists.

“Don’t act as if you and your Daddy own all of Jovanka’s assets now. You underestimate me; of course, I have other businesses that I will build with my own efforts,” Carlos says, making Marco smirk condescendingly.

“By deceiving people and taking everything I own, you’ve even messed up my entire stock network. You also played a part in what happened to Daddy,” Marco says, surprising Carlos a bit.

“Uncle doesn’t need to put on a surprised face like that because, as I’ve emphasized before, I will know everything you’ve planned and any information you’ve obtained. I just want to make sure once again before I act as I please, and after you, I’ll just have to find Jacob to make you pay for everything,” Marco says, making Carlos try to look as unafraid as possible, but it seems to have failed when his trembling lips try to answer his nephew’s question.

“Never involve Jacob with what I own. This is purely the result of my own efforts,” Carlos says, making Marco then walk closer, staring at his uncle with his sharp gaze.

“I will ensure whatever business you are currently running. I will make it collapse back to zero. I will make you crawl back until you can’t rise again. Remember that,” Marco says. After that, Marco looks at Pedro.

“Take him and move him to our place,” Marco says, making Pedro nod. All his men immediately rush to surround Carlos.

“What is this? This is a sign that you are kidnapping me,” Carlos says, seemingly unheard by Marco, who starts walking out of the mansion.
