Chapter 0345
"How was this possible?" I questioned her. "I've never felt anything like that before. Are the babies really the source?"
"Selene unlocked something dormant," she explained. "A gift, perhaps. Or maybe it was always within us, waiting for the right moment. I believe the twins amplified our abilities. They're special, Lottie." Knox approached cautiously, as if unsure whether to interrupt my
contemplation.
"Lottie," he whispered, his voice laced with emotion. "That was... incredible." He glanced down at my belly, concern flickering in his eyes. "Are you okay? Are the babies okay?" I met his gaze, vulnerability creeping in.
"They are fine, but I didn't know I could do that," I admitted, my voice barely audible. "I was so scared. But I think... I think the twins helped me." Knox pulled me into his arms without hesitation.
"You were brave when it mattered most," he remarked, holding me tightly.
"I'm so proud of you. But we need to make sure you three are alright." Kane stated as he joined us, his expression a mixture of concern and admiration. "Are you okay?" he asked, brushing a stray hair from my face before his hand gently rested on my belly. "Did it... did it hurt them?" I leaned into his touch, shaking my head softly.
"I don't think so. I can feel them moving-they're okay." I answered truthfully with a small smile. My eyes searched the room for my brothers, spotting Adam and Liam sharing a look before stepping forward.
"That was some display," Adam remarked, a hint of a smile on his lips. "Remind me not to get on your bad side." He chuckled softly, making me smile, though tears pricked at the corners of my eyes.
"I couldn't have done it without all of you." I admitted, offering my brother a small smile as Chase placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder.
"We're a team," Adam smiled, nodding firmly. "We've got you." I took a deep breath, trying to steady the whirlwind of thoughts racing through my mind.
"What does this mean for our babies?" Chase asked, his tone laced with a hint of fear. The questions felt heavy, but before I could dwell on them, Sage's calming presence washed over me.
"One step at a time," she advised gently. "We'll figure this out together."
"She's right," I whispered aloud, earning curious looks from the others.
"Who?" Knox asked softly.
"Sage. She's... she's as surprised as I am." I smiled faintly.
"Your strength is remarkable," Kane whispered, pressing a kiss on my temple as his hand snaked around my back and held me to him protectively. I could sense his unease, like he didn't trust Astaroth not to reemerge.. "Both of you." he added as he finally relaxed slightly,
"We need to make sure you're
resting, this has to have drained your
batteries," Knox announced with a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. A smile I knew all too well, he didn't want us to go and rest, it was something else entirely he wanted right now and I had to admit it sound like a damn good idea t me.
"You need to take care ofnoveldrama
yourself—and them." Kane's eyes softened. Emotion welled up within me, and couldn't hold back any longer reached out, pulling both Kane and Knox into a fierce
ven
embrace. They wrapped their arms around me, their warmth and solidity grounding me amid the chaos of my emotions.
"I'm so grateful for you both," I whispered, my voice thick with unshed tears. They held me tighter, their breaths syncing with mine.
"We're here," Knox murmured. "Always." and somehow I knew they meant it.
"You're not alone in this," Kane
assured me as he pressed a gentle kiss to my lips. That earned a playful gag from my brothers behind me.. My lips twisted as I realised that as I stood here surrounded by their unwavering support, a sense of peace settling over me- I was happy, truly happy, as was Sage who was purring contentedly in the back of my mind.
"You've found your balance," a sweet feminine voice noted with pride.I froze, recognizing the voice immediately.
"Selene?" I whispered. A soft glow appeared before us, and the Moon Goddess stepped forward, her eyes filled with warmth. "May I have a moment with you, Lottie?" she asked gently.
