The Runaway Groom Chapter 202
Chapter 202
“Kathy York was attacked on the way to the branch office,” Stan explained
“You can handle that yourself,” Isaac replied.
“She’s seriously hurt, and is refusing treatment until she gets to see you.”
Isaac frowned. “Got it.”
He soon hung up, but Stan had no idea what he meant.
Meanwhile, Kathy was still throwing a fit, and he decided to text Isaac the address after some thought
Maybe he would come after seeing the address? This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
It was not as if Stan was not doing anything–there was nothing he could do here.
By now, he was positive that Isaac did not like Kathy at all. He would not have transferred her to the branch company, and keeping her at all was only because she owned that silver crucifix!
That was why he could not decide what to do here, and rather Issac dealt with it himself!
On the other end, Isaac mused to himself for a while and told Irene, “Stay here. I have something to do.”
Irene, however, had heard Kathy’s name. Was he going to meet her now?
She actually felt disappointed knowing that for some reason, just as she warned herself not to feel that
way
After all, he did not deserve her.
While she was a little frustrated, she pretended to be calm and snorted “What can I do? I’m all tied up.”
Isaac simply presumed that she was upset that he had her restrained. “As long as you understand your place. You’re not getting away even if I let you go anyway. There are guards right outside!”
Giving her a look, he got dressed and left.
Irene regretted biting him too lightly just then.
Was she going to be here for another day, once again starved and denied water?
Even if she just ate and was not hungry at the moment, she remembered how it felt to starve.
Also, she just drank a ton of water What if she needs the washroom? Was she supposed to hold it in?
Dear heavens! Was anyone out there who could save her?!
“Isaac Jefferson!” she growled through her teeth, hating him to the death just then!
She would cut him into tiny pieces if he ever had a chance!
Isaac sneezed as he drove. It was a hot day out–how did he manage to catch a cold?
Someone must be talking about him.
He wound down his window to let the sun in, and the sunshine seemed to magnify the pronounced edges
of his face.
When he arrived at the hospital, he could already hear Kathy throwing a fit from the distance, and frowned in disgust
“Mr. Jefferson.” A helpless Stan promptly rushed to his side when he saw him, as if he saw salvation.
“Who were the perps?” Isaac asked just then.
“Just some street thugs. Maybe they were trying to cop a feel or something since she is pretty, and did it to her when she resisted.”
Stan did not actually look into the matter, since he had to await Isaac’s orders before doing anything!
Still, Isaac did not ask him to investigate, perhaps because he had no interest in Kathy-he came because she was the owner of that silver crucifix, and the fact that she saved him.
There was nothing else to it.
“What was she crying about?” His voice was cool and devoid of concern, likely because he really did not like her.
:
He certainly would not be this calm if Irene was attacked-he would already have ordered Stan to find her attackers, and bring them pain!
“She just wants to see you,” Stan admitted.
As Isaac strode toward Kathy’s ward, she was still flipping out, and flung a pillow at the doorway as he approached.
He sidestepped, dodging it!
“Get out-” Kathy was pointing and yelling at the hospital staff, but paused for a moment when she saw Isaac, and lunged toward him at the next instant!
