Roses And Gunshots
Chapter 8 Roses And Gunshots
“Lady Raven” they bowed and one gestured respectfully for her to come with them. Wordlessly, and with an icy expression plastered on her face, Raven’s gentle steps began.
The elongated end of her down, dragging gracefully along the dark carpet in the hallway.
By now, a bouquet of roses was gripped mildly by Raven’s fingers – she was going to get married today. Headed towards the large but majestically designed door, two guards who were stationed there parted the door for the upcoming bride.
Raven’s eyes darkened bitterly at the sight of an aisle with Ramos, dressed handsomely in a suit, waiting for her.
Unintentionally, she bit her lower lips overly hard, to the extent a trail of blood escaped from the bitten spot.
“Over my dead body, he’d lay with me!” Raven vowed inwardly within herself while advancing closer to the aisle with a deadpan countenance.
*-*
Dead bodies were littered all over the concrete floor of the estate – an estate which belonged to Ramos Escobar.
The distance from where he stood and to the gigantic front gate was gigantic, but it was covered with blood. Every single soul that was encountered during their forceful ride into the estate had been sent straight to hell.
And by whom?
Who else than the devilishly handsome, unimaginably and ethereal Crime Syndicate boss – Alfonso Sanchez?
The female population would easily come to an end just by mere glancing or having a brief glimpse of the toxic embodiment of good looks and ruthlessness.
There, he leaned against the body of his costly SUV and as always, a thick wooden pipe was sandwiched in between his thin, reddish yet luscious lips.
Hands stuck in his pocket, face concealed by a slightly big hat, and head lowered to the blood-stained ground, multiple men surrounded him.
Their outfit gave their true identity away – The Stray Dogs were here in New York.Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
A rifle each in every being’s hands simply signified that they were here for one sole purpose – a massacre would be inevitable.
The Stray Dogs, a crime syndicate ruled by the devil’s incarnate, also known as Alfonso Sanchez, alongside his unknown and mysterious twin brother, Alfredo Sanchez, were a force to reckon with.
At the young age of 16, the organization was handed down to them by a certain man and although it was established and carried its operation in Mexico, the terror of the Stray Dogs spread throughout the freaking world!
Presidents unhesitatingly bowed at Alfonso’s presence – a fucking billionaire, yet an enshrinement of lethality. That was who he was.
But what business could he possibly have with Ramos, when today was his wedding to his third wife?
“The bitch, get her unfailingly” his voice alone could effortlessly knock out a million women – he sounded like a Greek god.
“Yes, My Lord!” Dozens of men, each of the bearing arms, walked briskly into the gigantic mansion’s compound.
At the sight of any living thing, the Stray Dogs didn’t think twice to pull the trigger – emotionlessness and heartlessness. Every member of the Stray Dogs bore those qualities.
Screams of the Ramos’ servants who were unfortunate to be outside resonated throughout the entire mansion – even in the beautifully kept garden where a wedding was going on.
“What was that?” Adelina questioned perplexedly once she heard a gunshot. Likewise, the guests, who were mainly overly rich CEOs, businessmen, and tycoons, began muttering – some confused while others in fright.
What was happening? Raven, who seemed to be in another dimension, simply, kept her outstretched right fingers still.
Ramos was just about to slide in the diamond ring on her finger when the commotion started.
“Ignore whatever shit you heard!” Ramos’ irritated yell brought the now unsettled guests’ attention back to him and his soon-to-be wife.
Adelina’s overly unease arose from her seat and walked off, headed for the compound.
“Co-continue please” the priest stammered, obviously afraid – the fact that he was in the household of a mafia was already a sin!
Ramos grinned, then glanced at the enchanting face of Raven Lockheed – oh, how otherworldly she was. He knew how much she hated this – her face said everything, yet he didn’t give a shit.
The essentials were done and as Ramos brought the expensive diamond ring closer to her outstretched ring finger, a bullet unexpectedly yet precisely pierced into his right wrist.
The ring fell freely to the ground and his blood slashed all over himself, Raven, and slightly on the priest.
“Holy mother of Jesus Christ!” the priest gasped, highly loud and fearful as Ramos’ blood stained his robe.
“Fuck! Who the hell did that shit?” Ramos’ wrist trembled continuously and throbbed in pain as he gnashed his teeth tightly.
The guests had scattered in different directions once Ramos got his wrist shot – they weren’t the only ones surprised, so was Raven.
“Who was…?” Ramos could barely move his lips once he came into the light – that deadly aura of his sending shivers down everyone’s spine.
Raven’s eyes widened at his sight and also at the familiarity his face held – was that… Lee?
“A pretty bitch you got there, Ramos. You don’t mind me taking her, do ya?”
