The Imposter Bride (Natalia and Magnus)

Chapter 382

Chapter 382

Magnus gripped her arm tightly, pulling Natalia into a protective and tender embrace. "I won't let you

blame yourself, darling. It's not your fault! And it's got nothing to do with that damn promise, alright?

Trust me, please—it's really not your fault!"

"But if I hadn't broken my promise, how could anything have happened to Jonas?" Natalia looked up at

Magnus, her eyes filled with a mix of panic and helplessness.

With a heart full of sorrow, Magnus gently kissed her forehead, tracing her smooth brow with his lips,

kissing away the tear streaks on Natalia's face. "My love, listen to me, believe me, Jonas will be safe."

Natalia fell silent, sobbing softly. Her shoulders trembled intermittently with grief. Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

This whole scene was witnessed by Hector, who had just pushed the door open. Holding a tray with

breakfast, Hector closed his eyes in despair, feeling the chill of sorrow in his heart. He had made

breakfast with the intention of calling Natalia to eat, but he never expected to stumble upon this scene.

He hadn't slept well the night before, either. Every time he closed his eyes, he couldn't help but

speculate about the situation here, deeply distrustful of Magnus. He feared that the shameless Magnus

would take advantage of Natalia.

But, as it turned out, his worries were unfounded. They were the real couple. And he was just a self-

deluding third wheel, a complete and utter failure.

Magnus softly comforted Natalia; outside, a heartbroken Hector stood. In this way, a cloud of sadness

enveloped the three of them, and they waited in torment for James to return after being out all day.

Facing the hopeful eyes of the three, James couldn't bear to tell them the truth and closed his eyes,

shaking his head in resignation. "The car was abandoned in a derelict district. We've practically turned

Hawaii upside down today, but no trace."

"How could this happen? Jonas has never been to Hawaii. Why would someone kidnap him?!" Natalia

exclaimed, out of control.

Magnus patted her back consolingly. "Calm down, Jonas is bound to be okay."

"How could I possibly be calm?!" Natalia pushed Magnus away. "It's all because of me that things have

turned out this way! I'm going to go out and find Jonas myself!" With that, she stumbled toward the

door.

Hector quickly followed, worried that Natalia would come to harm.

Magnus made to chase after her, but his phone suddenly rang. He answered the call as he walked, and

a familiar voice came through. "Ha, Magnus, are you going out of your mind looking for your son?

Hahaha!"

Magnus stopped in his tracks and quickly regained his composure. "Lucius, is that you?" He could

recognize that voice anywhere; it belonged to his brother, who had ruined half his life.

"Correct! It's me! Magnus, you probably never dreamed I'd break out of prison, huh! You put me away

and made me suffer, and for that, I swear I won't let you live a peaceful life!" It was Lucius on the

phone, and his voice was filled with venom. "Just to let you know, your little brat is with me. You'll bring

a hundred million dollars to the harbor front alone if you're smart. No cops, no tricks! You come alone,

or else I'll kill the kid!"

There was a pause, and then Jonas' voice came through the phone. "Daddy, Daddy, I'm scared. I'm

at..."

Before Jonas could finish, Lucius interrupted him viciously, "Shut up, kid! Magnus, don't you dare play

any games with me. I've strapped explosives to your son. If you push me, I'll blow us both to kingdom

come! Think carefully before you act!" After hurling his threats, Lucius hung up the phone.

Listening to the dial tone, a wave of despair washed over Magnus. He had heard Jonas' cry and felt a

rage that could destroy the world. His son, Jonas—no one in this life was going to hurt him! “Lucius, I

will make sure you have no place to hide!”

He never imagined the brother he had put in jail would escape. Lucius was ruthless and now

desperate. If he was pushed too far, the consequences would be unthinkable. After much thought,

Magnus decided that he had to do as Lucius had said.

He glanced toward Natalia’s direction, who had disappeared out the door, and he turned to James

inside the house. "Get one hundred million ready. I have to go to the harbor front."

"Magnus, who has taken Jonas?" James, seasoned by many storms, quickly grasped the oddities of

the situation. It was clear that Jonas had been kidnapped.

A bloodthirsty light flashed in Magnus' eyes as he ground out one word, "Lucius!"

"What? But he's been locked up! How is this possible?" James raised his voice in surprise. "Did he

escape from prison?"

James immediately objected. "Magnus, you can't go alone. Lucius hates you. If he sees you, he'll want

to kill you too. Won't that be even more dangerous?"

Magnus shook his head with resolve. "He's cornered now. If we don't do what he says, Jonas will be in

danger. I can't let anything happen to Jonas, Natalia wouldn't cope!"

With that, Magnus instructed James in a cold voice, "Don't tell my wife about this. If I don't come back,

I'm entrusting Hector to take care of her. Remember, you must not follow me, to avoid provoking

Lucius!"

“But...” James tried to interject, but Magnus cut him off with a wave of his hand. “No more, James. My

mind’s made up. I’m counting on you to handle things here.”

With that, Magnus turned and strode toward the door. “In ten minutes, set up a Swiss bank account

with a hundred million, and then text me the details.”
