Chapter 505 Irwin’s Intentions

“Do you feel better now?” Irwin observed her contemplative expression as his smile grew

warmer.

Natalie remained silent.

Feel better? Hah!

“How could I?”

The Schneider family’s nature was clear to her, and she was indeed the one to have given Cedric such

a “gift“.

But in comparison to the past years, this “gift” was insignificant! © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

Irwin’s eyes held a mocking glint.

Before he could respond, Natalie interjected, “Irwin, I haven’t even started with you yet.”

“You audacious woman,” Irwin replied.

She had taken audacity to its zenith. She really was doing whatever she wanted, whether it to

Cedric or Irwin.

“Cedric might not have time for you now, but are you really not concerned about Frederick?” she

questioned.

Frederick!

Natalie had sold out Frederick to Malcolm, and now even Zane was aware of his existence!

While Irwin might not know Frederick’s exact whereabouts, one thing was certain—it was a headache

that Frederick wasn’t by Irwin’s side.

If the Entes family caught him, it would be disastrous!

“Let me remind you, while the Entes family desires those documents, I doubt they’d choose you over

Cedric for this collaboration,” Irwin warned.

Given Cedric’s secretive connections with the Entes family, was Irwin really free to stay here and be

idle with her?

That was what Natalie didn’t/understand.

Without hesitation, Irwin gracefully lifted his coffee cup. “Do you think they would cooperate when faced

with the complete documents?”

Natalie hesitated.

Would they? She couldn’t be certain.

Irwin’s smile deepened mysteriously.. “You only understand the importance of those documents to us

but not its true implications.”

Natalie felt a pang of uncertainty.

What did it truly signify?

She had to admit that she truly wasn’t aware. Wexford was intricate, with layers of

complexities that weren’t always apparent.

“But the grand ‘gift‘ you presented to Cedric? That was genuinely generous,” Irwin remarked, his smile

intensifying.

A shadow passed over Natalie’s eyes.

The Schneider family…!

Had it not been for it being a significant gesture, she wouldn’t have presented it to Cedric. But since

she was to give him one, it had to be substantial.

“What would you like for dinner?” Irwin asked, changing the topic.

“Anything,” Natalie responded tersely, her tone betraying her annoyance.

Observing her irritation, Irwin chuckled, “I’ll take you skiing tomorrow.”

“I won’t go. You enjoy yourself. I’m not interested in such things,” Natalie replied nonchalantly.

The truth was, she couldn’t, even if she wanted to. Extreme sports made her dizzy just by

watching.

“With me by your side, you’ll be safe,” Irwin assured her.

Glancing at him, Natalie took in his refined and gentle demeanor.

“I wonder how many women you’ve ensnared over the years,” she mused aloud, finding his charm

somewhat unnerving.

Irwin laughed softly. “Have I ensnared you, Nat?”

She responded with a cold snort, refusing to engage with him further.

Natalie was currently bound to Mount Elven. While she appeared to have accepted Irwin’s

proposal, she was constantly, albeit subconsciously, keeping her distance from him.

During dinner, Natalie noticed some seafood dishes, even some from the coast.

She was surprised.

How could such coastal delicacies be available here?

“What’s on your mind?” Irwin asked, breaking her train of thought.
