Chapter 199
Chapter 199
He picked up the plate of food, walked to her, and set the food down in front of her. “Rosie, if you really want to know where your mother is buried, you better finish everything on this plate.”
She suddenly looked up. Her swollen eyes looked at him in surprise.
“What did he mean by that? Does that mean…” Rosalie thought and asked, “You know where my mom is buried?”
“I’ll tell you if you eat,” he replied.
When she heard this, Rosalie felt as if she was pumped full of energy. She picked up the tray of food and started gobbling it up.
Jonathan frowned. She looked like an animal wölfing down her food, completely different from her usual self.
However, this also proved how important her mother’s grave was to her.
Jonathan furrowed his eyebrows slightly as he gazed at the fresh tear stains on Rosalie’s face. Her eyes were also more swollen than he had seen before.
“Did she cry again during the time I was gone?” He wondered.
“Eat slowly. Even if your dad buried your mom in the North or South Pole, I’ll take you there,” Jonathan said. “If you choke on your food, we’ll just waste more time.”
Rosalie’s body shuddered. Her hand holding the fork paused. Then, she started eating again, but her speed was much slower than before.
Jonathan only watched from the side until she finished eating. Then, he took a piece of tissue and wiped her lips meticulously.
“I-I’m done eating. Can you tell me where my mom is buried now?” Rosalie gazed at the man before her, her eyes filled with anxiety, hope, and worry.
She seemed afraid that her expectations would be destroyed and that he could not help her find her mother’s grave.
He raised his hand and tenderly caressed her cheek, his fingertips
“Go wash your face. If your mom saw you like this, she wouldn’t,

“But…”
happy,” he said.
“What? You don’t trust I’ll take you to your mom’s grave?” Jonathan smiled slightly. “You can trust me now. I’m the only one who will take you to find the place.”
Her gaze stilled on his face for a while before she turned around, headed to the bathroom, and turned on the faucet.
Rosalie stared at herself in the mirror and saw her swollen, red eyes and visible tear streaks on her face. Even her bangs looked messy. One could say she looked quite miserable at that moment.
“If Mom saw me like this, she would be pretty upset. Besides, will Jonathan really take me to Mom’s grave? Will he help me without asking for anything back?” she pondered.
She only felt incredibly perturbed, but no matter what, she could only follow Jonathan.
After all, in his words, he was the only person she could trust.
After she washed her face with clean water, Rosalie walked out of the bathroom and saw Jonathan sitting on the couch and playing with his phone.
“Was it your father who said he would reveal the location of your mother’s grave if only you paid him 10 million dollars?” Jonathan asked.
“Yes,” Rosalie replied with her head hung low.
“Since you asked me for 10 million dollars, why didn’t you ever think of directly asking for my help to find your mother’s grave?” He continued asking.
Rosalie froze and thought, “Now that he brought it up, I realize I’m s truly be satisfied? Won’t he be greedy for more?”

As Jonathan said, instead of asking him for 10 million dollars, it would have been basto ask him to help her locate her

She was in so much of a hurry that she made a careless mistake and caused h
to let such a simple matter go. unnoticed.
“Can you take me with you now?” Rosalie said hurriedly. Only when she was sure where her mother was buried could she rest assured.
“Don’t worry. You can rest first or sleep for a while if you’re tired,” Jonathan said.
With such thoughts circling her mind, Rosalie naturally could not sleep, so she could only stare at him eagerly.
After about 15 minutes, Jonathan’s phone rang. He picked his phone up for a moment and answered, “Okay, I got it. Wait for me over there. Also, regarding the things I instructed you to do, arrange them as soon as possible.”
After he said that, he put away his phone and stood facing Rosalie. “Come with me.”
In an instant, Rosalie knew Jonathan was going to take her to where her mother’s grave was relocated. Thus, she hurriedly stood up and followed Jonathan. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
After she got in the car, she realized they were not heading toward the graveyards in Strico. Instead, they drove toward a large residential area in the city.
When the car stopped, Rosalie stared at the parking lot in surprise and then at Jonathan confusedly.
The car was parked in a shanty town.
“Let’s go,” he said and took her hand in his as they walked inside.
Rosalie followed Jonathan in a daze as they made their way to one of the houses. Then, she saw Jonathan’s secretary, Carlos.
Other than Carlos, a few men looking like bodyguards were standing there.
When he saw Jonathan, Carlos approached him and informed him, “Inside, Mr. Youngblood.”
Jonathan led Rosalie into the house.
Obviously, Carlos had cleared the room in advance. When Rosalie entered, she could tell this was a group renting place, but there were no people in the house for now.
With Carlos at the front, he opened one of the doors. It was a simple bedroom with only a bed and a desk. There was nothing on the bed, not even a blanket.
When Rosalie walked into the room, she saw a box on the table. There was nothing else on the table except the box.
It was an urn.
Rosalie’s pupils suddenly contracted. She stepped forward and touched the urn with her trembling hands. She also noticed small engravings on the side of the urn, which consisted of her mother’s name and date of death.
“It’s Mom’s urn!” She gasped inwardly.
She felt her heart pound quickly. Rosalie had thought Gordon would at least buy a burial land for her mother when he relocated her grave so that she could rest in peace.
Yet, she never anticipated Gordon not even buying that. Instead, he placed her mother’s urn in a group-renting place.
As Carlos explained the situation, it also confirmed Rosalie’s speculation.
