The Billionaire’s Maid Bride (Flanagan and Allison)

Chapter 476

Chapter 476

Wilton was standing by the door. He asked, “How long had Daisy been in there?”

John replied, “One hour and eight minutes.”

Wilton went on, “What was she doing inside?”

“She just watched a movie with Frances and had a little chat.” John had observed Daisy for a while and

thought she was not bad. She seemed to care for Frances enough, and every time she visited,

Frances’ mood seemed to improve.

“Wilton,” John tried to say. “Maybe we got it wrong. Ms. Daisy isn’t Mina’s pawn. She seems okay to

Frances.”

Wilton asked, “You really think so?”/His tone turned serious. “John, remember how you almost went

blind because you misjudged and trusted the wrong person? Did you forget the pain when that knife

slashed across your face?”

John instantly got serious. He clenched his fists. He would never forget that knife. It was because he

trusted the wrong person. “I get it. I was too trusting.”

Wilton said, “Follow me to the balcony.”

On the third-floor balcony, Wilton had already checked the surveillance equipment. This was Mina’s

territory. She had set up a lot of surveillance to monitor him and Frances. He had already removed

some, but he was still worried that Mina had installed surveillance elsewhere. So, he thoroughly

checked the balcony to make sure there were no cameras or listening devices.

“You need to keep a close eye on Daisy, noting down every time she.comes here. Other than Daisy, Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

Mina and Ava are not allowed in the bedroom, no matter what excuse they use.”

John memorized it. “I got it. Ava has been coming over with all kinds of excuses, I’ve stopped her every

time. But I suspect Ava has bought Dr. Jade.”

Last night, Frances suddenly fainted. The doctor who came to see her was Dr. Jade, She had worked

with the Boswell family for many years and was very familiar with Frances. She was Morgan’s doctor,

but since Morgan was unwell and hospitalized, he had a team of professional doctors taking care of

him. Dr. Jade had become the Boswell family’s private doctor.

Wilton squintéd. “Everyone has a price. If Mina offered enough, Dr. Jade could have been bought.”

He wasn’t surprised that Dr. Jade had been bought, he just smirked dismissively. However, Dr. Jade

being bought put them in a passive situation. But it wasn’t the end of the world. After all, everyone in

Northfield knew that Frances didn’t have much time left.

His hands gripped the railing tightly.

Now, the entire Boswell family was under Mina’s control. Once Morgan passed away, Mina could

openly control the Boswell family. Once Frances passed away, the entire Boswell family would fall into

Mina’s hands. By then, Wilton would be powerless.

John looked at Wilton, knowing all the pressure was on him. Their situation was passive, and they

could only play it by ear. They weren’t yet capable of confronting

Mina.

Unless something extraordinary happened.

Unless Morgan’s health suddenly improved, or Frances’ condition suddenly got better.

But this was just wishful thinking.

Daisy got home. She went to her bedroom and opened the box. Inside was a triangle-cut amethyst

crystal, processed very finely, clear as water, and emitting a clear glow.

Being familiar with raw stones since she was little, she could tell at a glance that this was a very high-

quality stone. She put the necklace around her neck. Her neck was slim and delicate, and the necklace

made her skin look even more refined.
