I knew he was going to take long in the restroom, so I took advantage of the opportunity and fled. I
knew it was wrong but staying in the house with him was a bad idea, to begin with. I dashed back into
the room, grabbed my plastic bag, stick, and bolted out.
“Taking Josh down?” I snorted. Brandon had a good probability of dropping dead at any given second
but then what? Was I going to continue alone with the revenge? Those were the questions running in
my head.
Yes I was a coward, a stup*d coward. His first idea of moving to a small town and starting all over was
not a bad idea.
When I accepted his offer, I was completely out of my mind. I kept running after opening the door to my
left. I couldn’t recall how we got in earlier, but I knew I was on the right track.
I just recalled passing through one room before entering his master bedroom. I went through another
door and was only met with a large empty white room without windows. A room that I did not recall us
passing, I was definitely lost.
I chose to go back the way I came. I retraced my steps, but when I opened the door, I entered another
room, it was smaller in size compared to the first one. It was surrounded by four doors.
It was like my mind was playing games on me, I definitely was lost because I could not recall anything,
nor was I in such a rush to notice.
I was lost and I didn’t know which door to go through, so I guessed; I was running out of time. Brandon
was going to find me soon. I went right and ended up in a long corridor. It appeared to be going
someplace, so I dashed through it, which led to two doors.
Something wasn’t quite right in the stup*d house, so I paused to gather my breath. I chose the left door,
which took me into another white room with four doors but no windows.
It appeared like I was back at square one, but to be sure, I went through the same door as before, but
instead of ending up in a corridor, I found myself in a larger white room with no windows.
I went back and chose the middle door, which led to a long flight of stairs. I dashed back and opened
another door, which led to a glass-enclosed room.
I began panicking. “Brandon?” I screamed out in the hopes that he would hear me, but everything was
silent. As my anxiety held me, negative ideas began filling my mind.
I had no idea whether to move forward or backward. I took a deep breath in and reminded myself to Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
relax; there was no reason to be alarmed.
I chose the door with the stairwell because the stairs always went to a lower level and then to an exit. I
virtually sprinted down the white stairwell. The stairs dashed along the entire length of a street. At first, I
was counting but stopped when I became tired. It was then that I realized I made the wrong decision
choosing the stairs.
But I’d gone too far to turn back; I needed to finish the stairs; I was sweating, exhausted, and
disoriented; tears were streaming down my cheeks like a little girl.
After what felt like an eternity, I arrived at the top of the last step, but to my surprise, it was another
white room with four doors and no windows. I began panicking as my heart began racing. I dropped my
plastic bag and stick.
“Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon, Brandon!” I screamed,
but all I heard was the echo of my voice. I started pounding on the walls and screaming his
name.
Why wasn’t he coming for me? He should have realized I was missing? Maybe he died in the toilet, I
reasoned, it was the only explanation why wasn’t looking for me. If that was the case, I’d be lost in
F the silly house for the rest of my life.
The thought made me even more panicked, and I proceeded to slam my fists against the walls and cry
his name, but to no avail.
I was the most pitiful human being on the face of the earth, worthless and a fool. As I sank to the floor,
defeated, and continued crying, I thought to myself, “What wrong did I commit in my past life?”
My hands were swollen and bruised from banging on the walls and I was fatigued. I just sat there
crying and pulled into the fetal position. I knew I would perish from starvation; a human can only survive
for eight to twenty-one days without food, but only three to seven days without water.
I had no choice except to conserve my energy and hope Brandon was looking for me and not dead.
I’m not sure how or how long I slept off, but I did and was only jolted awake by a flushing noise. I slowly
opened my eyes and raised my head, from the corner of my eyes the walls appeared to be shifting.
I hurriedly rose to my feet, only to be surprised when the walls turned into a cinema screen. As the
screen continued to flush, I looked around perplexed, to hear beautiful music and chatter.
A video began playing on all four walls. I didn’t understand what was going on, but I watched the video.
It appeared like there was a party going on until I heard a familiar voice: Josh, dressed up in a tuxedo
and clutching Jessica as if his life depended on it.
He was greeting the attendees of what appeared to be a lavish celebration. There were notable faces.
present, ones I had grown up with and could name by name.
Victor Nelson, his father, grabbed a microphone and started applauding his son for all of his
accomplishments, or should I say thefts.
The crowd erupted in applause as a new logo appeared on the room’s walls; the company, my
company, was changing name. It was a gathering to celebrate the company’s rebranding. As I turned to
look around, all I saw was Josh’s smile.
What exactly was going on? Why was I watching the video? Then it dawned on me: it was Brandon,
stup*d Brandon. He had been watching me all along. That m*ronic sociopath on the verge of death. I
screamed at the top of my lungs and flung one of my shoes at the screen.
Then Josh’s voice drew my attention once more as he introduced the company’s new name. It seemed
like I was reliving the court case. “Gentex group of companies,” he declared, freezing my entire body.
The crowd applauded as he turned to kiss Jessica passionately.
Was Brandon torturing me or was he friends with Josh? “Please G*d no,” I screamed. I dashed to the
nearest door, which was locked. I dashed to the second, third, and fourth floors, but all of them were
locked.
“Brandon Please open the doors, Brandon!” I cried out as gigantic images of Josh and Jessica kissing.
paused in front of me.
“Please stop, you claimed you were my friend, why are you doing this?” I sobbed.
But there was no response; I was covered in mucus and tears, and I was unable to take in the sights in
front of me that appeared to be circling me.
I’m not sure whether I was hallucinating, but Jessica and Josh both turned around and started laughing
at me.
“No, no, no,” I closed my eyes and covered my ears, and knelt into a fetal position. My heart started
racing, and I felt as if my entire body was clinging to it.
I started to feel like I was suffocating, my chest was closing up on me making it difficult for me to
breathe. I attempted to move but was too weak. The last thing I remember seeing was absolute

darkness before I completely shut down.
