The Agent’s Badboy

Chapter 17 The day Yegor delivers

Monday came too soon, she was back at her corner office when Yegor send a text from an unknown number telling her to check her email.

Yesterday he had told her that he had his guy set up a secure line for sending details regarding the gun shipment that he had promised her.

She was well aware that he might be doing it not just because of the sneaky agreement with her, but also because in the cruel Mafia business they would give tips to authorities just to eliminate their rivals.

Though guns were not his thing, but new player entering his area was still viewed as a threat to the Sokolov cartel. And Karla was not that naive to think otherwise.

She also didn’t know how, but Yegor gave her what she needed the most to be on the good side with her superior.

That afternoon after gathering her facts and information from her Russian drug kingpin lover, she knocks on her boss’ office door.

“Come in, ah… Agent Federova, how are you today?”

Karla has never been those agents who kiss ass to their superior, so when he started with the small talk she was awkwardly trying to reply with the simple Monday greetings.

“I’m good sir, hope you have a very good weekend with the family.”

To that word her boss laughed, telling her to not even try.

“It’s been three years Federova, I don’t know how you’re going to move up. You need to learn to get along with your coworker, your superior… I think I should enroll you in more interpersonal skills classes…” the older man shook his head with a fatherly smile on his face.

“… we interact with people, we’re not a machine…”

Her boss kept going on and on about how social skills are needed to improve, while in her head she was thinking about how she needed to order more food for Gus and was asking herself has Gus’ litter tray had been clean that morning.

“You hear me Federova?”

“Yes, Sir. Absolutely, Sir.”

Her boss shook his head again, knowing she was helpless and she might need to be partnered up with a different agent. He was thinking of an agent with more social skills.

“Sir, I got information about a gun shipment that’s going to go down this week. But I don’t think my recruits are ready for the bust…”

Her boss couldn’t help but smile at her, every time she comes to his office with a breakthrough for her cases. She has always been a smart agent, that’s one of the reasons he kept her on his team. She’s very dedicated to her job and her deducing detective skill are above her peers.

“See Karla, this is what I like about you…”

She sighed on the inside when he started calling her by her first name, knowing he was going to lecture her again and it’ll be one of those long Monday private briefings.

Karla knows he meant well, but she couldn’t help herself with her shitty social skills. And every time he presented the issue she would curse on her upbringing. She hated that she was one of those unwanted babies, she didn’t even know her birth parents. Even Luka her genius friend had searched for her and found nothing.

“Okay Federova, I will have your backup for this. But I need you to still share this information with your new recruits. You need to pick at least one agent to come with you to the bust, their first assessment will be done by the end of next month. You need to do your evaluation done before that.”

“Yes sir, understood.”

The rest of the day was spent with her doing administration work and making sure that she was set for the bust. Karla was ensuring her paperwork was meticulously done, she didn’t want it to fail just because of technicality issues.

It was almost ten when she arrived back at her apartment, and Gus greeted her as always. She hadn’t seen her neighbor since she was back from her little Paris escape with Yegor and she couldn’t care less. Karla has too many issues on her mind when she was taking her bath before she was going to rest for the night.

“Hey Gus, how do you like your little vacation? yeah? you like sleeping on those expensive Italian marble tiles?…” the fat cat purred under her touches.

“Yeah, I’m sorry for leaving you there. But I’m guessing they’re taking good care of you…” GusGus purred and closed his eyes, and she smiles when he lay down asking her for a belly rub.

She was tucked in and was going through her phone in bed when it buzzed with an unknown number.

“Hey…”

“I missed you.” His deep voice made her feel warm on the inside.

“Hasn’t even been twenty-four hours.” She let out a small laugh and cozied herself in her bed.

“Do you miss me?”

“Right now… I do,” she bites her lip smiling in the dark.

“What are you wearing?”

“Tank top and granny panties, why are you asking me this? don’t you have stuff to do?” she was smiling liking his flirty side.

“I was just back from my club, now I’m bored and I’m in front of your door.”

“What?” she gasped, surprised at his words.

“Your bedroom door, with Gus circling my feet. I think…”

Karla dropped her phone and jumped out of her bed. She didn’t even want to know how he managed to get into her apartment.

“What the fuck, Karla!” Yegor looked shocked staring at her face.

“What?!”

“Your face!”

“Oh crap, I forgot.” She touched her face and just remembered about the clay mask that she was supposed to take off before she falls asleep. She was finishing off checking her emails on her phone when he called.

She went straight to her bathroom and clean her face, while Yegor pets her fat cat and told him to guard the door from the other side.

Karla smiled when she heard him talk to Gus, thinking maybe her pet talk was rubbing off on her sexy tattooed mob boss.

“Better?” she asked as she reaches his front.

“Hmm, let me check.” He softly planted his kisses on her cheek and the tip of her nose, then told her that she’s perfect when his hand molded her panties-covered ass.All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

“Such a sweet talker. Come on… you can hold me to sleep. I had a very long day.”

They were both in bed, somehow being around her had made his day complete. Perfect night to end the day, cuddling her in his arm, letting her rest her cheek onto his chest.

“How’s your day?”

“I want skin, too many clothes.” She uttered making him chuckle and strip himself naked to his boxer shorts.

“Better?” he was back to cuddling her and she was caressing his abs and sighing in content to their closeness.

“Mm-hmm… I spent the entire day working on your lead, then went to my boss’s office only to be told that I need to attend more interpersonal skills classes. Am I that awkward?”

He smiled and kissed the top of her head.

“Let’s just say I’m not going to ruin my chances with you tonight, but I think you’re perfect just the way you are.”

“Wise answer, I think you have better social skills than me. My boss thinks it’s also why I haven’t been able to move up the ladder. I thought it’s because I’m a female agent. If I have known that social skills are needed for this job I’ll get a job as an accountant or something.”

She sits up and looks at him in all seriousness, he was looking at her thinking she was going to say something profound.

“I think you need to kiss me and make me forget about how bad I am at work.”

“Aww… come here,” he pulled her down and started kissing her passionately.

“You’re just perfect for me Kiska.”
