Swept Into a Fairytale Marriage 53
Chapter 53 This Woman Brings Luck to Her Husband
Mark and Adrian settled into their seats in the opulent presidential suite. Despite a significant age gap, their commanding presence felt evenly matched.
A fine sandalwood coffee table separated them, and the rich aroma of Earl Grey tea wafted through the air. The tea set was arranged with great care and precision.
The project leaders took their positions beside Adrian while Mark’s assistant stood attentively by his side, ready to assist at a moment’s notice.
Farrah knew it was a business setting, so she kept her distance, settling into a chair near the floor–to- ceiling window. Bathed in sunlight, she picked up a newspaper and flipped through the pages, eavesdropping from a few yards away.
The serious tone of their discussion was a little daunting; the business world was foreign to her.
After about half an hour, she gathered that Adrian was eager to collaborate with Mark, who seemed to view Prestige Group merely as one of many potential partners. Mark would stay in Ronson City for a month to evaluate all the companies he deemed worthy and speak with the person in charge.
Even though Prestige Group had been the first to greet him, that didn’t mean he would choose them immediately.
Adrian, however, continued to promote his company’s strengths.
Farrah furrowed her brows, sensing how important this project was to him. It explained why he had thoroughly researched Mark’s preferences, even down to a small dessert.
“Mr. Lovelace, we have ten specific project proposals for you. I hope you can take some time to review them,” Adrian said calmly, though Farrah could feel the urgency beneath his composed exterior. She felt the urge to give him a helping hand.
The project leader next to Adrian stood up and handed over a thick file that contained countless hours of effort from many people.
Mark contemplated for a moment, then gestured for one of his aides to take the file.
“Rest assured, Mr. Locke, I’ll consider it,” Mark said, enjoying four pieces of dessert as he raised his teacup with a smile.
“You even brought Farrah here. It’s clear you’ve put in the effort. I must say, I’ve been looking forward to her handmade desserts, and this has been a delightful experience.”
At his words, Farrah turned slightly, catching Mark’s warm gaze. She smiled back, putting down the newspaper and rising from her seat.
“Mr. Lovelace,” she said as she approached him.
All eyes in the presidential suite turned to her. In her pink spaghetti–strap dress and knitted shawl, she looked radiant. The soft light caught her fair skin, and when she smiled, she looked even more dazzling.
*Since Prestige Group is under your consideration and meets various conditions, could you perhaps take my word and finalize this matter?” She stood beside Mark, her smile soft and inviting.
Adrian blinked in surprise, raising his gaze to her. Something intense flickered in his eyes, a mixture of admiration and curiosity.
Mark looked up, his expression gentle. He didn’t interrupt as she continued, “Prestige Group is the most successful enterprise in Ronson City. Mr. Locke has a unique vision and an accurate foresight for the
future.

“You haven’t collaborated with him before, so you might not fully grasp how excellent this company is, but I’m sure you’ve heard of it. Otherwise, it wouldn’t even be on your radar.” Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
Mark regarded her silently, his curiosity piqued. “Farrah, why are you so eager to recommend Prestige Group?”
“Because it’s my family’s company! Any profits will be marital assets, and I’ll get half!” she thought to
herself.
