Chapter 396
Chapter 396
“Your brother’s not busy, not busy at all… ugh,” Mia aroused Andre’s desire, so he wouldn’t let go of
her!
Molly didn’t quite catch that. She stood confused at the door. “Why is he suddenly busy? Wasn’t he just
waiting for me?”
Mia was still in the study, so Molly knocked again. “You do your thing, Andre. Just let me have Mia.”
Mia was eager to get out. Unfortunately, she had willingly walked into the lion’s den, so it wasn’t as
simple as just walking out. As her feet touched the ground, Andre held her legs, pulling her into his
arms. Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
Andre kissed his wife’s lips, muffling her mouth to prevent any sound from escaping. He was losing
patience with the person at the door. “Go away!”
Molly was already quite intimidated by Andre. When he barked at her, she immediately fled.
Right now, Molly wanted Mia? Well, that’s not gonna happen.
Mia’s blouse was slightly crinkled. Her face flushed as she quickly spoke, “Honey, I’m pregnant. You
can’t mess around.”
Andre replied, “As long as I’m in control, you and the baby won’t be hurt.”
Mia then said, “But… we’re in the study.”
Andre said, “A little fun between husband and wife doesn’t necessarily require a bed.”
Mia was speechless. Her husband was… well, not exactly respectable!
As the hem of her skirt was lifted, Mia immediately blocked his hand. “I swear, I’ll scream if you don’t
stop... mmph!”
After Molly fled, she immediately went to her father for protection.
Later, Mia didn’t see Molly again. She went straight back to her bedroom and fell asleep.
Another strange thing happened, though. Despite the couple’s good relationship, Andre was
inexplicably banished to the study for the night.
Regardless of his claims of “I’m busy working in the study,” no one in the house seemed to believe him.
The man who had been standing at the door earlier, sweet-talking his wife, suddenly seemed like a
completely different person.
Hansen, the father, gave Andre some sage advice. “It’s not a big deal to sleep in the study, son.
There’s no need to be ashamed.” Hansen said this with a smirk, clearly enjoying his son’s predicament.
Molly was in awe of Mia’s courage. She made a mental note to ask her later about how she managed
to stand her ground against Andre.
Feeling embarrassed, Andre shooed away his family members, who had been laughing at him.
He knocked on the door, but Mia was in the bathroom, slowly washing herself, ignoring him. Her legs
were bruised from Andre’s uncontrolled excitement, which caused marks. Looking at the mirror, Mia
noticed the remaining traces on her chest and felt a bit miserable.
Andre returned to the study, which was filled with a sensual fragrance just a moment ago but now
seemed cold and desolate. He missed the warmth of his wife’s body. He opened the window, letting the
cool breeze in.
Unable to sleep, he began to investigate the matter Molly had told him about earlier.
A leaf tattoo…
The next day, when the housemaid tried to wake Mia, she wouldn’t get up. Andre had no choice but to
use his key to enter the room.
Hansen made a snide comment, “You had the key last night, but you didn’t think to use it.”
Molly chimed in, “Dad, Andre is smart. He must remember the key. I think he was just too scared to go
in, worried that Mia might be mad.”
Hansen nodded in agreement. “My daughter is so clever.”
Molly replied, “It’s all thanks to your good genes, Dad.”
The father-daughter duo continued to poke fun at Andre. He turned to look at his father. “Do you know
why I don’t like talking to you?”
Hansen, careless as ever, replied, “Because you can’t out-argue me?”
Andre then turned to Molly. “Don’t you have work?”
Molly grimaced. Soon after, a gust of wind blew past Hansen. A moment later, Molly’s loud voice could
be heard from downstairs, “Dad, I’m off to work.”
Hansen started to complain about his daughter. “Your fighting spirit isn’t as strong as your dad’s.”
Andre had already opened the bedroom door. He glanced at his father. His eyes were cold and his tone
was threatening. “I heard there were some new additions in the fridge when I came home last night.”
Hansen, who was completely at Andre’s mercy, looked guilty. “Oh, Harry called me for a team meeting,
so I have to go. You take your time with Mia.”
Hansen took a few steps, and then reminded him, “Pamper her well, and don’t forget what your sister
told you yesterday.”
Finally, the annoying ones were gone.
Andre pushed open the door and saw the curtains pulled shut, and a lump under the covers. Her phone
was on silent.
Andre lifted a corner of the blanket, climbed into bed from one side, and looked at his carefree little
wife. There was a pampering smile on his face. “I’m not here, but you’re sleeping so soundly. You don’t
even care if I can sleep well or not in the study.”
He leaned over and kissed his little wife, who was still dreaming. Her lips, for some reason, were
incredibly addictive to him.
“Um, you, um,” Mia was awakened by a kiss early in the morning. She pushed him away, supporting
his body with her forearm. “Why are you kissing me? I haven’t brushed my teeth yet. Aren’t you
grossed out?”
Andre held his wife’s back, showing through his actions that he didn’t mind.
“No, stop, stop kissing. I can’t breathe. I’m running out of oxygen, Andre! Mmph!”
It turned out that only Mr. Andre could wake Mia up for breakfast.
However, the pregnant Mia was glaring at her husband while eating. Later, Andre asked the maids in
the dining room to leave, leaving only him and his pregnant wife.
“Why did you ask them to leave? They could keep us company,” Mia said, a bit annoyed.
Andre replied, “For their own good.”
Mia was puzzled. For their own good?
Andre explained, “When you’re swearing at at me, they won’t hear it and won’t be held accountable
later.”
Mia was distracted by his words. She curiously asked, “Hey, how do you know I am going to chew you
out?”
“Just one look at your eyes, and I know you’re swearing at me in your heart for not being a real man,
calling me a jerk, despicable, disgusting. You’re planning to settle the score after the baby is born.”
Mia was shocked. Was her face that readable?
Looking at her expression, Andre was even more certain that his little wife giving him an earful.
Mia added, “Honey, you missed a few. I was also calling you a beast who only wants sex, a wolf in
sheep’s clothing, a social scum…”
Andre thought, “I won’t get mad. She’s the one I married, the one I love, the one I put up with!”
Not long after breakfast, a familiar drink appeared before Mia. “Hey, isn’t this the one I didn’t drink last
night?”
Andre replied, “This is a new one. You wasted the one from last night because you didn’t drink it.”
In a fit of pique, Mia said, “I don’t want to drink it.” After saying this, she turned and walked away.
Andre followed her back to the room, and locked the door behind him.
After yesterday, she realized that being pregnant was no longer her shield.
Mia’s heart raced in fear. “What the... why are you locking the door in broad daylight?”
Andre handed his wife a drink before stepping into the bathroom. “I didn’t take a shower last night, so
I’ll take a quick one now. Drink up. It’s nutritious. It will prevent leg cramps and keep the baby healthy.”
“Speaking of the baby...” Mia picked up her glass and took a sip. “You seemed to be enjoying yourself
last night, and didn’t think of the baby then. Now it’s over, and you remember you’re going to be a
father.”
Andre, holding a towel on his way to the bathroom, turned on the shower and looked back at his
complaining little wife. “Who initiated it last night?”
“That doesn’t mean you can’t control yourself just because I initiated it!”
Andre tested the water temperature, and then went to the bathroom door. He looked at his wife, and his
eyes were filled with undisguised love. “Don’t think your husband has such great self-control. I’m a
man, and I can’t resist your temptations.”
After saying that, he closed the bathroom door.
