Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 340

Chapter 340

"If my actions don't qualify as liking you, then what the hell does?" Chad was nearly going nuts

because of Molly.

Molly said, "Andre's doting on Mia is what you call liking."

"Mia is his wife, the mother of their kids. They're a couple. It's love!" Chad was so pissed off he couldn't

have a proper conversation with his sister.

Just then, his phone rang. It was Coleen.

"Hello," Chad answered the call, then said: "I'm dealing with your troublesome daughter!"

Coleen said a quick warning before hanging up.

Chad held his phone and stalled the engine. He planned to start the car and head home, but felt that

home wasn't the best place for certain discussions. "Molly, do you understand what I just said?"

Molly nodded. Chad felt like he'd been hit by a hammer. She actually understood.

"I'll keep my distance from now on and be the sister you want."

Chad was speechless. He clenched his fist, then released it. He stared out the window and let out a

sigh. He knew he couldn't rush things.

If he was too aggressive, he might scare his sister away, or even drive her into someone else's arms.

Having been Molly's brother for fifteen years, he thought he was her real brother. She was innocent,

without any experience in love, completely oblivious to her own feelings.

Chad glanced at her. Just then, Molly was also looking at him. Her eyes were innocent. "Chad, I didn't

piss you off today. Why did you sigh?"

Chad didn't know how to respond.

"Molly, without my permission, you're not allowed to date. If anyone chases you, you have to tell me."

Molly obediently nodded. "Chad, I will definitely tell you. You can help me judge whether the person is

trustworthy. If he is, I will consider it. If not, I won't."

Chad restarted the car. "If that Jack harasses you again, tell me right away."

"Okay. Chad, are you going to tell me about a case today?" Molly asked curiously.

Chad was taken aback, then remembered that she was referring to the horrifying murder cases he

used to scare her with. Chad told her, "No case this time. If you want to live constantly in tension,

constantly bickering with your mother-in-law, fighting over inheritance with your illegal sister-in-law, then

encountering a husband who may betray you, has no responsibility, and will abandon you when

problems arise, then go ahead and date Jack. I won't interfere anymore."

Molly responded, "No!"

Looking at Chad, she said, "I'd rather stay single for life than end up in such a family."

The car drove away. Molly said, "If only you weren't my brother, then I wouldn't be troubled."

Chad said, "Call me Chad from now on. That way, you'll realize that I'm not your brother."

Molly firmly stated, "No, you're my brother."

Molly misunderstood. Chad didn't really want her to call him brother. She thought that Chad was angry

because she still insisted that he was her brother.

She figured Chad was already pissed, so she should quickly soothe him.

So she called him "bro" several times in the car, which only irritated Chad more.

The car gradually drove away, and Molly successfully avoided another scolding.

When they got home, their parents were already asleep.

They tried to be as quiet as possible when they got home. Chad told her, "Bob's son is sick.

Accompany me to the hospital tomorrow."

"Oh, did you cover Bob's shift today?"

Chad nodded. He took Molly's bag, locked the car, and led her into the house. "There's something else

I need to tell you in advance. You're about to have an exam, I won't be home during this period. You

better manage your studies properly. I won't monitor you. If you fail, don't come crying to me in the

middle of the night."

"Oh, how many days are you going?" Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.

"Not sure." Chad escorted her to her room, then turned and left.

As soon as they got home, a text message from Jack arrived. He asked, [Molly, are you home?]

Holding her phone, Molly turned and walked out. She came to Chad's door and gently knocked.

Chad had just taken off his shirt and was about to take a bath when he heard a knock.

There was also Molly's gentle call from outside. "Chad, open the door."

She was afraid her voice would wake up their sleeping parents.

Chad gritted his teeth, picked up his shirt from the bed, and put it on again. His breathing became

heavier.

Molly was still knocking on the door, her ear pressed to the door, trying to hear if he was in the shower.

Chad hastily buttoned up his shirt to cover his body, then flung the door open.

This caused Molly, who was eavesdropping, to lurch forward and bump into Chad's chest.

"Ouch, Chad, you should've warned me before opening the door. If you weren't here, I would've fallen

on the floor." Molly even complained about Chad opening the door without a word.

Chad helplessly pushed his sister away, making her stand upright. "What do you want now?"

Molly's gaze was drawn to Chad's charisma. She stared at Chad's partially open shirt, the top three

buttons of which were undone.

Her eyes were full of laughter. "Wow, Chad, you're so handsome."

Chad quickly pushed her out and shut the door.

Molly stumbled backward, losing her slipper. She steadied herself by holding onto the railing.

Then, she put on her slipper and knocked on the door again. This time, she was smarter. "Chad, Jack

sent me a message. I don't know how to reply."

Sure enough, the door opened again.

Chad buttoned his shirt while listening to her.

Molly pouted, showing Chad the text message on her phone, and expressing her dilemma. "If I reply

with 'I'm home,' won't that seem like I'm responding to him? Will he misunderstand that I'm interested in

him? But if I don't reply, won't that be impolite?"

Chad chuckled coldly. "You sure have a lot of close male friends."

Molly immediately defended herself. "Chad, his father and our mother are in the same industry. If I have

a conflict with him, it's not worth it."

Chad took Molly's phone, typed a response with one hand, and decided to send it.

Then he handed the phone back to Molly, pushed her out the door again, and closed the door!

Jack's behavior was really getting on Molly's nerves, but then Chad, grabbing her phone, decided to

take the matter into his hands.

For Molly, Chad was taking the bull by the horns.

She wasn't bothered by it at all. In fact, she kinda liked it.

She unlocked her phone to see what Chad had replied to Jack, [Molly's already hit the hay. If you need

anything, give me a ring.] Followed by Chad's name and his digits.

Molly was speechless.

Was Chad being a bit flirtatious with his words?
