Chapter 334
Chapter 334
Molly was always obedient, nodding her head. After all, she wouldn't dare to defy her brother. And, as
long as the three of them weren't together, the world was definitely peaceful.
Leo's elders were picked up by someone, and Leo himself drove off to somewhere else.
Mia was always curious about where Leo went when he didn't go home. But when she asked, Leo
would make up stories, saying, "I parked on the side of the road and fell asleep."
He didn't want to tell her more, so Mia didn't press him.
Every Friday, Molly was picked up by Chad, and she was clueless about her nephew's affairs.
Unexpectedly this time, Chad just picked up his sister and saw Rose and her family in the living room.
Rose brought her son to the Byrne family for a visit, and Coleen and Mr. Kendrick were entertaining.
"Go wash your hands. It's almost time for dinner." Coleen called out to her daughter.
Molly nodded and greeted the two people in the living room. Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
Both of them looked at the girl with curious eyes. Last time at Ashford Inc.'s event, Coleen took her
along and told everyone that Chade Inc. would be given to her? Why give it to an outsider?
Juliana was difficult to deal with, and she would say what she thought. To deal with her, Molly just
needed to be more difficult to mess around with.
But, Rose and her son were cunning. Although she looked warm, she might just do something to hurt
her while smiling.
Chad, knowing their characters, didn't want Molly to have too much contact with them. Their schemes
were more than Juliana's.
Rose casually asked Coleen, "Coleen, Molly doesn't go back to that home after school. She comes
back here, right?"
Coleen replied, "Molly doesn't live on campus. She usually goes back to the Cedillo family, and comes
back to be with me and her dad on weekends."
Rose added, "That's good too. Molly is smart. After all this time together, she knows you guys have
feelings for her. You can't break off now."
Even though she was agreeing, it made the Byrne family uncomfortable to hear. Molly was smart?
Among the people they could connect with, Mr. Kendrick held the highest office, and Coleen was the
richest. So everyone subconsciously thought of Molly as a gold digger.
Saul also said, "Come back often, and she can see more of the world with Coleen. She had more
chance to find a good husband in the future."
Molly frowned and whispered to Chad, "Chad, our family sure has a lot of troubles, and they always
want to mess around with me."
Chad reassured, "Don't worry, no matter how big the trouble is, it can't hurt you with me around. Go
upstairs. I'll call you when it's time."
Molly nodded, and she went upstairs after changing her slippers.
Chad sat in front of the two, "What kind of investments have you been doing recently? It looks like
you're making a lot of money."
Rose was stunned, "I haven't made any investments. Our family mainly relies on your cousin's salary."
"What?" Chad looked confused, "But I saw a lot of money flowing into your account these past years."
Rose suddenly remembered something and looked nervously at her son. Saul also became cautious,
"Chad, I made investments under my mom's name, is there a problem with that?"
Chad nodded, "Large amounts of money coming in might attract police attention. If my colleagues
come to investigate, I hope you can cooperate with the them."
Rose looked a bit uneasy.
Saul furrowed his brows, "My mom is just an ordinary person. It's normal for her account to have
money coming in. Why do you care about these things?"
Chad explained, "There might be scam groups using your name to launder money. Every penny has its
source, and as long as you can explain clearly to the police, there's no need to be nervous."
"Chad, don't scare me. I haven't done anything wrong. If you bring the police to my door, what will the
neighbors think of me?" Rose protested.
Coleen chimed in, "Rose, you know what kind of person Chad is. He even investigated me and his
father. Talking to him like this won't help."
Rose was getting anxious, "I just don't want this to affect people's perception of me. Chad, as long as
you know that it's Saul's investment money, that's enough."
Mr. Kendrick added, "The police regulation is that if a relative is involved in a case, the officer in charge
should avoid any suspicion. Telling Chad won't help; he can't be involved in this."
The few people of the Byrne family left Rose and her son a bit scared. If they didn't do anything wrong,
they wouldn't be afraid when hearing it. Chad just mentioned the unclear source of the funds, and they
got all nervous.
Coleen suggested, "Dinner is ready. Why don't you stay for dinner?"
Rose declined immediately, "No, no, we have dinner back home. I just came over to check on your
health. If there's nothing else, we will head back."
After saying that, Rose stood up and Saul followed suit. They didn't give the Byrne family a chance to
persuade them to stay and left directly.
Watching their car leave, Coleen sighed, "I thought my sister could help." But they all had their own
plans and thoughts.
This was when she was still around. If her daughter took over the company in the future, who knew
how they would treat her.
Chad reassured, "Mom, Molly is very smart, I'm not worried about her being deceived. I'm just worried
about her temper causing me trouble."
Thinking of her daughter's personality, Coleen agreed, "True, she's never been one to be easily
bullied."
Back in the living room, Chad knocked on the door, "Open up."
"Chad, wait a minute, I'm taking a shower." Molly said.
Chad said from outside the door, "Come down for dinner after you finish showering."
Molly replied, "What? I can't hear you."
She quickly rinsed off the shower gel in the bathroom, and wrapped herself in a towel. While wrapping
her hair, she quickly appeared at the door.
Just as Chad was about to leave, the door suddenly opened. He instinctively looked at his sister.
Molly showed up wrapped in a light blue towel, water droplets still trickling down her body. She hastily
opened the door without properly tucking in a corner of her towel. Her head was half-wrapped in a
towel turban.
Her shoulders and her neck were both glistening. Her face wasn't completely dry, and a water droplet
still sat on the tip of her nose.
Her cheeks seemed soft and plump, and her eyebrows and eyes were like a piece of art, fresh and
captivating. Her skin looked delicate with a glow that seemed to permeate from within.
Her neck was as beautiful as a swan's. Chad had never noticed before, but her collarbones were
straight. A rose gold star necklace hung around her neck; it was clear that she was too lazy to take it off
before her shower.
As Chad's gaze dropped, Molly's towel suddenly started to loosen.
While Molly was fixing her hair, the towel began to slip from under her armpit, and the corner that was
not properly tucked in also began to lose its hold.
"Chad!" Molly shouted.
