Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 308

Chapter 308

The Cedillo family was welcoming a new member after 20 years. Once he got home, Hansen went to

his wife's grave to tell her that Mia was pregnant.

Andre's mom had passed away, so Madison had to step up and take care of Mia.

Mia was discharged from the hospital after a week of observation. The Cedillo family came to pick her

up, Naomi said she was free and could take care of Mia. Mia, however, declined her offer. She

preferred her mom to be with her and her brother, Cooper, was leaving soon, so she wanted to spend

more time at home with him.

When it came to Cooper, the Cedillo family understood the situation and let Mia go home.

Because Cooper couldn't accept the fact that he now had a brother-in-law, Andre didn't bother them.

He dropped his wife off at the Irvin's and drove off, claiming he had work.

Seeing her husband making excuses to leave, Mia felt sad. She stood at the doorway, watching his car

disappear into the distance. "Mom, Dad, do you think I treat my husband too badly?" Mia asked.

Every time Andre would make concessions for her, always. But she couldn't remember what she had

done for him. It seemed like she was always causing trouble.

The Irvin parents saw their daughter's low spirits but said nothing.

When Cooper got home and saw only his parents and sister, and not that man, he asked, "Doesn't he

even want to come in?"

"He doesn't come in because you don't accept him, and he's considering your feelings." They replied.

Cooper was speechless. He picked up Mia's luggage and went upstairs.

Since Cooper found out about Andre's identity, Mia no longer hid when she was on the phone. She'd

answer it directly in the living room. Sometimes, when she missed her husband, she would call Andre

directly, even flaunting their love in front of her brother.

Andre would drive over in the evening, and Mia would go out after dinner and run to him, "Honey..." From NôvelDrama.Org.

When she didn't run, it was fine. But once she started, Andre would instantly feel terrified.

"Mia, can you listen to the doctor?" He was worried.

"I can. The doctor told me not to get angry, and I'm not. If I were angry, I'd tell you right away, and no

one dares to make a pregnant woman angry, especially your pregnant woman." Mia said.

Andre was speechless, "The doctor also told you not to run around at home."

Mia was about to argue that she wasn't running around when she remembered her recent jogging. She

was at a loss for words as she didn't seem to have run very fast.

"School starts on Monday, should I drop you off?" Andre asked.

"Okay, honey, I haven't kissed you for days. Let me kiss you first." Mia said.

Andre picked up Mia. He bent down, and Mia lifted her head, quickly kissing his lips.

Cooper, who was spying from the side, commented, "Gross."

Andre checked the time; the walk was over. He dropped Mia off at home, turned around, and glanced

at a corner. His gaze fell on a shadow on the ground. He pretended not to see Cooper, who was tailing

him, and left.

Every time Mia had a date with her husband, she felt like someone was following her. Cooper was

always keeping a close eye on Andre's attitude towards her.

Not only did Andre notice, but Aaron did too. One day, Aaron called his son into his study and had a

long talk with him. "Cooper, no matter how dissatisfied you are with Andre, he is your sister's husband

and the father of her unborn child." Aaron told his son, "You're still young, and there are some things

you might not have thought through. Why does Andre come to our house every day, but never comes

in? Because he loves your sister and doesn't want to make things difficult for her. If he came in, you'd

be upset. If you're upset, your sister would be unhappy. So, he just drops your sister off at the door and

leaves. Have you ever considered how your sister feels every time he leaves?"

Cooper was silent.

Aaron continued, "Cooper, I know you're looking out for your sister, just like the other day when you told

us not to impose what we think is good on you. But have you ever reflected on whether you're also

imposing what you think is good on your sister? Your sister is no longer a child; she has her own

judgment and feelings. If Andre didn't love her, if he didn't do good things for her, how could she be so

happy after becoming pregnant? I don't know what the future holds, but I do know who your sister loves

now. Cooper, don't underestimate a woman's decision to have a child for a man. It's because of love

that she's willing to carry a new life with him. Copper, don't let your anger cloud your judgment. What

you think is true love might just be your imagination. What your sister has is what she likes. What she

likes is not necessarily what you may like."

Maybe his father's words hit him, as Cooper started to reflect on his actions. Every time he saw his

sister and Andre together, things didn’t turn out as he had imagined because their faces were always

filled with happy smiles.

Andre was quiet, while Mia was lively. He was bothered by his sister's initiative, sometimes wondering

why Andre wasn't more proactive.

In the end, Aaron said, "Andre is still the same person you once admired, only his identity has changed

from the CEO of Cedillo Inc. to your brother-in-law. And you? You are still the same fanboy, only now

you're his little brother-in-law."

Cooper left the study and returned to his room. He lay in bed, pondering his father's words.

The next day, Cooper went out alone.

When he came back, he was carrying a large piece of pork.

Madison mentioned that Cooper had bought too much meat, which they couldn't possibly finish. But

Cooper took the meat into the kitchen anyway. He didn't use the meat grinder; he started chopping the

pork with a knife. He chopped with such force that it seemed like he wanted to chop the cutting board

into pieces.

Mia peeked at the big cleaver in her brother's hand at the door, and the pork on the table being

chopped up.

At that moment, Cooper paused his action. He turned his head and glanced at his sister at the door. In

that instant, Mia felt like the pork on the chopping board, as if she was about to be chopped up by her

brother.

"Invite him over for dinner." Cooper said.

This "him" referred to her husband, and Mia knew it. She shook her head and said, "I dare not."

Cooper once again brutally chopped the cutting board, and Mia felt very scared. She instantly gave in,

"I'll call him right away."

At this moment, Andre, who was in Maplewood Estates, was preparing to go to the Irvin family’s house

to accompany his wife for a walk when Mia called him, "Honey, I have something to tell you, brace

yourself."

"Okay, as long as you haven't gotten into a fight, I can handle it." Andre replied.

Mia glanced at the kitchen, "Cooper went out and bought a big piece of pork today, and he asked me to

call you back for dinner. I was scared; he threatened me with a knife." She began to whine in a soft

voice.

Andre was sitting in the car, he replied seriously, "Okay, I'll be there in half an hour."

"Honey, remember to bring some self-defense weapons. I'm pregnant and can't protect you." Mia said.

Andre chuckled softly, Mia was too adorable, "I'm your protector, I'll always protect you two. You don't

need to stand in front of me to protect me."

Mia immediately said, "Then you must be careful when you come."
