Chapter 998 Make His Life A Living Hell

At that moment, her entire world collapsed.

The man she had been yearning for, with whom she had spent a passionate night. He also made her

feel like she was drowning in bliss, and she even began dreaming of a beautiful future.

How could she possibly accept it if she was suddenly told that all of this was nothing more than a pipe

dream?

“Bailey, you must be filled with jealousy and resentment, unable to accept the reality. That's why you've

intentionally brought in a counterfeit to comfort yourself and deceive me.”

With a cold chuckle, Bailey strolled over to her, pulling out a few human skin masks from her pocket

and tossing them to her.

“This is what the suicide attacker found on you last night during your intimate moment. It must have

been made for you by the disguise master, Faceless, right? Have you ever heard of Thousand Faces?

Do you know that Thousand Faces' art of disguise surpasses that of Faceless?”

Cersei's pupils contracted sharply. She had a hunch about what was to be said, but she couldn't bear

to accept such a reality. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

She truly couldn't accept that the love affair she had experienced was a trap, a pit they had deliberately

dug for her.

“A-Are you Thousand Faces?”

Bailey curled her lips into a smile. “That's right. I am that disguise master, Thousand Faces,

internationally renowned for my unparalleled skills in the art of disguise. Having a suicide attacker

impersonate Artemis to mess with you is as simple as lifting a finger for me. Heck, it's even easier than

drinking water. Of course, you can continue to deceive yourself. I don't really care. But for coveting my

man and ending up in such a predicament, you truly got what you deserved.”

After she finished speaking, she slowly stood up.

As Cersei saw her leaving, she quickly reached out and grabbed the hem of her pants, shouting, “Why

are you all scheming against me? Haven't you done enough damage to me already?”

Bailey looked down at her from a high above, her voice light as a feather. “If I didn't do this, how could I

have used you to lure Kurt into the trap? If we don't do this, how are we supposed to infiltrate this

castle rigged with explosives and rescue the person we want to save? Cersei, from the moment you

decided to collude with Kurt, you should have realized that you would become a pawn in the battle

between both sides.”

Cersei's body was shaking violently. With tear-filled eyes, she looked at Artemis, who stood with his

hands behind his back, and asked, “Was it really not you last night?”

Artemis wouldn't even look at her directly. With an indifferent and heartless tone, he asked, “Who gave

you the courage to think that I would lay a hand on you?”

As if being struck by lightning, Cersei felt her world completely collapse.

She struggled to her feet and dashed toward Bailey like a mad woman.

“You've ruined me, but I won't let you off easily either.”

In the midst of her speech, a dagger suddenly appeared in her hand, thrusting straight toward Bailey's

chest.

Artemis' attention was entirely focused on Bailey. Seeing that Cersei was about to harm her, he rushed

over without a second thought.

With a swift movement, he reached her in less than two seconds, then launched a kick that landed

squarely on Cersei's chest.

No one knew how much strength he had used. After receiving his kick, the other party violently spat out

a mouthful of fresh blood and was sent flying backward, crashing heavily onto the cold floor.

He wanted to go up and kick her a couple of times, but Bailey stopped him.

“The sky is bright now, and we must prioritize our tasks. Don't waste time on a nobody.”

Artemis paused in his tracks, then gave Ken a meaningful glance.

Understanding the situation, Ken paced over to Cersei. Before she could wake up, he swiftly knocked

her out with a chop of his hand.

Bailey crouched down, placing a mask on Cersei's face. In the next second, the latter had transformed

into the image of Blaze.

“Take her with us. Let's go to the main house.”

“Understood.”

In no time, the group arrived at the main house of the castle.

Bailey and Artemis headed straight for the second floor, finally finding the lifeless, utterly desolate

Blaze in the master bedroom.

Seeing her in such a pitiful state, Bailey felt her eyes instantly filled with tears.

She strode over to the bed, unlocked the chains that bound the woman, and then held her tightly in her

arms.

“Sorry, we're late.”

Blaze's vacant eyes gradually found focus because of her words, and she began to struggle violently in

her arms.

“Is Cameron here too? Did he come as well? I don't want him to see me like this. Bailey, please help

me, help me avoid him. I don't want to meet him. I really don't.”

Seeing her so agitated, Bailey felt even more distressed.

“Don't get worked up. Cameron didn't come to the castle. Let's get out of here first.”

With a swift motion, Blaze firmly grabbed her arm, gritting her teeth as she asked, “Where is Kurt, that

b*stard?”

The reason she held on to her last breath until the present moment was so that she could personally

torment that sinister man to death.

As long as Kurt was alive, she wouldn't leave this place.

How could Bailey not understand what she was thinking? She quickly grabbed her shoulders,

comforting her, “Let's wait in the shadows for Kurt. He will be back. When he returns, I'll hand him over

to you. Whether you want to flay him alive or grind his bones to dust, I won't stop you.”

Tears welled up in Blaze's eyes as she looked at Bailey. All the grievances surged in her heart, and she

could no longer suppress the melancholy within her. With a loud wail, she burst into tears.

Bailey silently held her, her hand gently patting the woman's back, soothing her without a word.

“Bailey, I'm filthy, so very dirty. I don't want Cameron to see me like this, and I don't want to have

anything to do with him anymore.”

Bailey responded earnestly, “He won't mind. In my eyes, you've always been a pure and flawless girl,

untainted by the world's dust. Don't belittle yourself.”

Blaze was not a girl who wallowed in sorrow and despair. After suppressing the desperation in her

heart, she slowly pulled away from Bailey's embrace.

Wiping away the tears on her face haphazardly, she asked in a hoarse voice, “Bailey, can you really

help me catch Kurt? I will give him a taste of every poison I've developed over the years. I will make

him wish that he was dead.”

Bailey gently brushed the hair from Blaze's forehead, her gaze falling on the unconscious Cersei at the

side.

Blaze followed her gaze, a flicker of surprise crossing her eyes. “W-Why does she look like me...”

“The art of disguise. Kurt has stepped into our trap. He is likely to suffer a crushing defeat in the end.

To survive, he will probably come to the castle to take you hostage. This woman is his sister, and they

are cut from the same cloth. I've disguised her to look like you, to give him a glimmer of hope. When he

takes his sister hostage, smugly thinking he can use her to escape, that's when we'll expose him.”

She thought such a scene must be spectacular.

With a firm grip on Bailey's wrist, Blaze gritted her teeth and declared, word by word, “I will make sure

that mad dog lives a life worse than death.”

The Venom Valley was located in a secluded valley in the eastern suburbs of Yannopolis.

This was the stronghold of the White family, a renowned poison-crafting family. Nestled amidst

mountains and rivers, the environment was tranquil and serene.

Suddenly, the tranquil environment was disrupted by bursts of gunfire, and within the massive complex,

deafening battle cries echoed.

“Mr. Kurt, we're in trouble. We've fallen into a trap, and we're like mice in a trap. Escape is nearly

impossible.”
