Sophia turned away after finishing her words.

Rashad gazed at her receding figure, her words reechoing in his ears.

'You know what, Sophia? I've never taken you as a friend...'

'I stay by your side as a friend all because I love you.'

'I was a nobody before, so I didn't think I deserve to gain your heart. But now I am rich and powerful. All

I've done is for you.'

'I am somebody now. So, it doesn't matter we're not friends anymore. I'll officially confess my love to

you, gain your heart and marry you.'

Sophia returned to her company and asked her assistant about Mr. Stark's clues.

The latter shook her head.

Sophia didn't blame her. Rashad helped Jessica, so they couldn't find Mr. Stark so quickly.

"It's OK. I'll try some other ways."

Sophia returned to her office.

She wanted to find a hacker who had higher skills than Rashad. After the hacker successfully attacked

Rashad's firewall, they would locate Mr. Stark's whereabouts.

However, Sophia wondered where she could find such a hacker.

to help her with everything she needed.

Sophia was upset. Repressing her anger, she asked, "Did you check me?"

Drake felt an intense headache again. He knew his wife was a tough nut to crack, but surprisingly, she

was more difficult to handle than he imagined.

He also felt lucky and relieved, as Sophia firmly refused another man who pursued her.

"I didn't. Ms. Lawson, have you forgotten I'm someone you know?"

Sophia's eyes became dark and horrible. "Right. Thanks for your reminder. You are someone I know. I

don't need your help."

She hung up.

Drake stared at the phone silently, wondering whom she had mistaken him for.

Meanwhile, Sophia was surer that the King of the Underworld was Rashad. He had planned for so

many years, so he must have done many things secretly.

Besides, she had just made a clean break with him, so he couldn't help her as the president of the

Riley Group but chose his other identity--the King of the Underworld.

Sophia wouldn't accept his help.

She called her assistant and reminded her not to let others know she would be absent from the

company for a while. The assistant agreed but asked, "What do you plan to do, Ms. Lawson?"

Sophia couldn't hide her plan from her. "I'm going to watch Jessica personally."

"No! Ms. Lawson, it's too dangerous. If she finds it, I wonder what she'll do to you..."

Suddenly, Sophia hit her assistant and pressed her down.

The latter watched her with a baffled expression, feeling the severe pain in her body.

"Ms. Lawson, why did you..."

"Seen it? I might not be a top fighter, but I can protect myself. Besides, all your people sent to watch

her have been found by her. If we want to find Mr. Stark as soon as possible, I can't let this go on."

The assistant was released, feeling the sharp pang in her arm. She had never known Sophia was so

good a fighter.

She could understand it, though. Sophia was a bigwig in town, so she would learn to fight to protect

herself when encountering kidnappings or accidents.

The assistant rubbed her arm. "Don't worry, Ms. Lawson. I'll take care of the company without letting

Jessica find your absence."

"OK. I'm taking off."

Sophia left at noon when the employees took a lunch break. Of course, none was nosy to find out why

she had left.

Sophia found a shabby car and drove to the Cannon Group.

When she arrived, she saw Jessica hailing a taxi instead of sitting in the company's car.

Sophia smelt something fishy, so she hurriedly followed the taxi.

She did not dare to follow the car too closely, for fear of being discovered by Jessica or the driver.

On the way, Sophia made a detour to encounter the taxi.

Everything was predicted by Sophia.

After Jessica paid the taxi fare, Sophia drove forward, watching her in the rear-view mirror.

Jessica was cautious. After looking around and ensuring nothing was wrong, she entered the house.

Sophia parked the car on the roadside and got off.

She didn't know where Jessica was heading, so she started looking for her.

Then she stopped after hearing a voice.

Sophia looked into a room. Surprisingly, she had found Mr. Stark accidentally after all the men she had

sent failed.

"Mr. Stark, you cannot be on a hunger strike. Don't you want to return to the Cannon Group? I

understand. You are worthless now. I've fully controlled your company. What can you do even if you go

back?"

Mr. Stark gazed at her without replying.

"Don't give me that look. The winner takes it all. It's the law of the jungle. You've lost, so you should

resign to this fate."

"Phew!" Mr. Stark spat on her.

Jessica was enraged. She wiped Mr. Stark's saliva off and slapped him.

"I was kind to you. How dare you do this to me! I'm gonna kill you!"

She kicked and hit him.

Sophia watched from afar without approaching.

After a while, Mr. Stark said, "Even if you hit me to death, I won't give the company shares to you. You

have limited shares. What can you do even if you've controlled my company?"

"It's alright. Sophia has sent many people to look for you, but I have a competent helper. She will never

find you all her life. I have plenty of time to deal with you. You'll beg me one day."

She stood up and tossed a lunchbox to him.

"Eat it or not. I don't give a shit. You can choose not if you want to starve to death."

Then she turned away.

Sophia found a place to hide.

When Jessica passed by a spot, she smelt a faint fragrance. She stopped in her tracks and looked

around alertly.

Sophia even heard Jessica's footsteps towards her. While Jessica got closer to Sophia, her phone

suddenly rang.

She swiped to answer, "Hello? OK. Got it."

Jessica turned away quickly, seemingly having something urgent to deal with.

Sophia hurriedly strode towards Mr. Stark.

The latter closed his eyes. Over the past week, he had been humiliated many times. He was old and

therefore in a poor condition.

He thought Jessica had returned. Without opening her eyes, he said, "You can beat me to death. I don't

want to live on, anyway."
