Chapter 475 Don't You Strive For It?
Sophia also wanted to strive for it.
As Drake seemed to have no intention of preparing for it, she asked, "Don't you strive for it?" Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
"Rashad is negotiating a deal in Sliplas. If I steal his thunder, what do you think others will think of me?"
Sophia understood his meaning. Actually, if it was not because of Rashad, there was no doubt that the
Riley Group would be the best choice for the Griffith family.
Now that the Riley family didn't partake in the bidding, she would try to win the bid.
Drake smiled and said, "Need help? There are so many participants, like the Duncan family, the Price
family, the Stein family, the Watts family, etc!"
Sophia had a confident smile, "I succeeded in fighting for a project with all of you, didn't I?"
"You seemed to be confident with yourself?"
"Of course. Quite confident."
"Good, I can't wait to hear good news from you."
As Sophia returned to her office from outside, she saw somebody sneak out of the office.
Sophia didn't stop him but had a look at surveillance footage.
However, the footage of what the man had just done had been erased. This meant that the man had
just done something bad that needed to be hidden from Sophia.
Then she checked through other surveillance footage in the company. Fortunately, she saw the man
and found he was not the member of her company after scrutinizing.
The majority of Sophia's subordinates were loyal to her. She didn't believe that some of them would
choose to betray her.
But who on earth was the man? What on earth was he going to do?
Just then, Mia told her in phone that Mr. Griffith was in the vicinity of the company and asked if she
would like to have a look.
There was no doubt that Sophia would seize this opportunity.
When she hung up and walked out, there came Emma.
"Sophia? Are you going out?"
"Yes, Mom. What are you doing here?"
"I cooked some dumplings; I think you haven't had lunch yet, so I bring you some."
Emma was right that Sophia didn't have lunch yet.
As Emma was about to ask Sophia to put the dumplings in her office, Sophia took the lunch box from
Emma directly.
"Mom, thank you. I should go now, and I'll finish them!"
"You should eat them as soon as possible. Even though they are in the lunch box, they will get cold
after a long time."
"I got it, Mom!"
Emma had no idea why Sophia hurried away. She planned to watch Sophia eat them up. Although
Sophia didn't suffer from the stomach illness now, it might recur if she didn't take good care of herself.
When Sophia reached where Mr. Griffith was, she saw Molly was in a good conversation with Mr.
Griffith.
Molly handed the specialty to Mr. Griffith. "I have prepared this for you. You can take it to your family
when you return."
"Oh, Molly, you're so considerable. Thank you very much!
"Mr. Griffith, you're so welcome. A fortunate encounter brought us together. I feel lucky to have an
acquaintance with you."
"Molly, you're so sweet!"
As Molly continued, she noticed Sophia and raised the corner of her mouth in mockery.
She had won Mr. Griffith's favor. It was too late for Sophia to come over, wasn't it?
However, Sophia still walked up to Mr. Griffith.
"Mr. Griffith, I'm Sophia from the Skylane Group. Nice to meet you here."
Mr. Griffith seemed to have a good talk with Molly. When he talked to Sophia, their conversation was
not bad, but Sophia could feel a sense of indifference from Mr. Griffith.
"Oh, Ms. Lawson. Nice to meet you!"
Molly didn't leave but stood by and watched.
Sophia defeated her every time before. This time, she stayed here to see what else Sophia could do.
"May I know if you have had lunch? I bring some dumplings which are made and cooked by my
mother-in-law just now. If not, you're welcome to have a taste of them."
Molly rolled her eyes constantly. She wondered from time to time if Sophia was from a rich family.
Dumplings? Would Mr. Griffith like such normal and cheap food?
In addition, Sophia came with a lunch box. What a degrading behavior! If she were Sophia, she
wouldn't invite Mr. Griffith to try it.
Unexpectedly, Mr. Griffith said in a surprising tone, "Dumplings?"
Molly frowned.
Sophia nodded, "Yes, my mom is a great cook. If you don't mind them being put in my lunch box, you
can try them right now!"
"Wow, I never expect you will prepare dumplings for me. It's so surprising." Mr. Griffith's attitude
changed a lot, and he did take a seat next to Sophia immediately.
Molly felt stunned. She couldn't believe it.
How could that be? Mr. Griffith loved dumplings?
Sophia also sat down and opened the lunch box. Sophia had to say that Emma was so meticulous that
she even prepared the sauce for her.
Sophia asked for a fork and took it to Mr. Griffith.
Mr. Griffith praised the dumplings while eating, "It's been a long time for me to eat such delicious
dumplings! I've been here before, and one of my clients invited me to have a meal in his home. At that
time, they prepared dumplings for me."
"Then I tried them and thought 'wow'. It was a feeling I couldn't express with language. Really great!"
Sophia could understand his meaning.
"Later, I've also been here a few times. But I didn't go to others' home but ordered dumplings in
restaurant outside. However, for some reason, I always thought they were different from the dumplings
I ate for the first time."
"But the dumplings you bring today taste the same! It makes me remember how I felt at that moment.
It's marvelous. Do people in your country like to say so?"
Sophia replied with a smile on her face, "Yes, we do. If you like them, I will ask my mom to prepare
some for you and you can bring them back to your country."
Mr. Griffith was surprised, "Oh! Really?"
"Absolutely. We will deal with them with special tools. When you get home, they will still be fresh."
Mr. Griffith reached out his hand and gave her a thumbs up, "That will be great. Last time I came back,
I told my family about dumplings. They also wanted to try them but didn't have a chance. This time, you
make their dreams come true."
Sophia smiled, "In fact, I didn't prepare them on purpose. I just happened to bring them here."
Not many people knew that Mr Griffith loved dumplings, not even Sophia.
