Chapter 51 Naive
Chapter 51 Naive
Blanca nodded and walked in. The people at the side didn’t notice what they were doing as Lisa took
up a pink blazer and handed it to Blanca. “The model isn’t here yet, so…” Lisa’s gaze fell on Blanca.
“How about you try it on for us, Ma’am?”
“M-me?” Blanca was a bit taken aback at the honor.
A bit of dim emotion flashed through her eyes.
With material like this, it had to be pretty expensive, right?
“Yes. Your body shape is about the same as the model’s, so how about you do us this favor?” Lisa
smiled.
Blanca took a deep breath and a staff member walked over wearing an awkward expression. “Miss Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
Anderson, the model for today has had a car accident and been taken to the hospital. She probably
won’t be able to come. We got in contact with a few other models, but they’re all quite busy recently…”
Lisa’s brow furrowed mildly and she looked pleadingly at Blanca. “Ma’am…”
“Okay. I’ll do it.”
Blanca was never one to get hung up over details, and she’d always believed in helping others. This
Empire Group belonged to Matthew her husband to begin with, and she had no reason to just stand by
and watch.
She came out wearing a pink suit and pants, tugging at her sleeve a little timidly.
Since she was little, she’d dreamed of being an outstanding white-collar worker, but she hadn’t even
finished high school properly. No company would want her on their team.
Every time she saw those metropolitan folk in their cool suits talking in sophisticated tongues, she
couldn’t help but admire them.
“That outfit’s a good fit. Need more padding on the shoulders, and take off the patterning down there.
It’s too much.” Lisa showed a slight smile and turned to command the staff.
The staff immediately jotted down the secretary’s instructions.
Still, as they saw Blanca come out in the blazer, shock flashed through both Lisa and the others’ gazes!
Blanca had only been wearing a simple dress back then, and her whole body emanated a gentle aura,
but with this different outfit, she seemed like a powerful leader instead!
“Take a look at this white one-piece. Perfect for spring, but the lacing and stitching is a little too
complicated…”
“This shirt’s chest area needs a redesign. Back to the cutting board.”
“The trouser is a bit thick. We can use natural silk. Better for summer.”
Lisa stroked her chin and had Blanca put on over a dozen outfits before she took her some water,
smiling gently. “You’ve worked hard, ma’am. There’s one last outfit here.” With that, Lisa took the
clothes and the hanger over to give to Blanca. Blanca was tired, but still wore a nice smile. She rubbed
her sore legs and her eyes were gleaming as she took the clothes into the dressing room.
Blanca had just gone in when, disguised at the side, Mary poked her head out, a wicked glint in her
stare. “Is this all right, Miss Anderson? That outfit is… it’s forbidden by the chairman.”
Mary had been chatting with Kylie when she suddenly received Lisa’s call. They’d talked about
something else before Lisa told her to take the tuxedo out. The clothes were from an upscale brand
that had been extremely popular twenty years ago. The brand wanted to remake it and resurrect the
style, but Matthew had opposed the idea vehemently.
All because… the outfit belonged to that person.
“What do you know? Just do what you’re told,” Lisa snapped, glaring at her.
