Chapter 176 Being kidnapped
Chapter 176 Being kidnapped
Blanca looked wildly around and found that she was surrounded by darkness. She felt her heart
pounding faster. She looked at Mr. White in alarm. “What do you want?” Blanca asked, terror in her
face.
Mr. White rose from his chair, and strode toward Blanca. While she saw the horrible look on his face,
Blanca took an automatic step backward, but Mr. White took a step forward and put a hand on her
shoulder. Blanca gave a little shuddering gasp. Standing in such a dark, dreadful, and depressing
place, she looked extremely nervous.
At this moment, Mr. White leaned towards Blanca and said, “Relax, Blanca! I have known the truth.
Let’s face it. It would be good for both of us.” They got so close that Blanca could hear his heavy
breathing and could see the look in his eyes. His eyes were now frankly malignant, which made her
frightened.
She was handcuffed and couldn’t fight back. After a short moment of reflection, she said, “Well, I’m
tired, Mr. White. I refuse to answer your questions. And there’s no need to question me if you have had
any proof.”
Blanca wanted to get out of here. Somehow, she realized something was wrong. She started to doubt
the identity of this Mr. White. He didn’t act like a cop at all. His expression was unfathomable and his
eyes were a bit creepy, just like Todd’s. At this thought, Blanca’s eyes widened with fear. Just then, Mr.
White came close to her. He touched her cheek, his fingers lightly tracing the line of her cheekbone.
Blanca was shaken by his unexpected action. She felt a mixture of despair and panic, but she tried to
calm herself down. “What do you mean by that, Mr. White? Why don’t we cut right to it?”
Upon hearing what she said, Mr. White began to laugh loudly. “Okay, now let’s get something straight,”
he said. He leant forward and put his hand under Blanca’s chin, forcing her face up. He stared hard at
Blanca for a moment and said, “Well, except for your pretty face, you are totally worthless, but why is
Mr. Grant totally into you? That is a complete mystery to me.” Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Blanca was sharply hit by his words. “I see. It was Louise. She sent you, right?”
“Yeah. That’s right. You’re not that stupid,” the man sneered.
Blanca’s chin was pinched by the man and the pain spread. “Why? You are a policeman! What you are
doing is illegal. You’re going to get yourself arrested and you will lose your job. Is Louise worth it?”
Blanca tried to convince him, but it was not as simple as she thought. Mr. White released his grip and
took out a camera. His smirk widened. “No. No. You’ve got this wrong. You didn’t really think I’m that
stupid, did you?” He pulled out a badge, dangling it between his thick fingers. “It’s fake, you little fool!”
he said triumphantly.
“You’re not a cop?” Blanca looked at him in shock.
“Of course not!” Mr. White squinted his eyes and let out a cackle of triumphant laughter.
Everything became clear now. Those people who had gone into the Empire Group with Mr. White were
all pretending to be cops! Blanca never thought that they would blatantly lie to her like that.
“I don’t even know you, Mr. White! You are kidnapping me! You are breaking the law; you will go to
prison! Let me go!” Blanca tried to calm herself down. Her nose twitched and she wanted to weep. She
started to miss Matthew.
