Chapter 165 We Argued
Chapter 165 We Argued
Explain?
Blanca looked at Matthew, displeased. This petty man. One word from him, and would these reporters
still dare linger? He just wanted to see her make a fool of herself.
Well, she wouldn’t!
“Let’s calm down, everyone. As for everything you want to know, how about we talk about it in the
meeting room?” Blanca looked calmly at the reporters.
She looked harmless, but was dealing with the reporters’ situation so casually. A few of them were
beginning to look at her differently.
Coming across something like this, normally people either hid away or panicked, and fiercer ones threw
tantrums at the reporters. There weren’t that many who could remain as collected as Blanca and even
welcome the reporters into the company to speak.
This young woman had cojones. No wonder Matthew took a shine to her!
Murmurs came from the crowd and Matthew cocked an eyebrow. He hadn’t said anything because he
wanted to see how Blanca would deal with this! If she couldn’t even handle this much, she didn’t
deserve to be the wife of the chairman.
Blanca pretended he hadn’t heard the conversations from the rest and had Curtis make everyone tea,
then led them all to the meeting room!
With all those commands, she just seemed to notice Matthew beside her, and stuck her tongue out.
“You don’t mind me using your meeting room, do you, Mr. Grant?”
“I do mind.”
Matthew said coldly. This woman was really treating the company like she owned it, wasn’t she? Using
it so freely.
Thinking of how eagerly she’d waited for news from Peter, and now how friendly she was with the
reporters, Matthew felt his chest close up. Forget about Peter, in Blanca’s eyes, but he wasn’t even on
the level with these reporters whose names they did not even know.
Matthew’s face darkened further and further. “Blanca, the meeting room is for company business only. I
won’t allow you to use it for your personal affairs.”
He’d sold the loving husband and wife show before the reporters, and now he was giving her lip?
Blanca’s smile froze at the corner of her lips. You couldn’t count on anyone these days…
“It’s not just my private affairs, is it, Mr. Grant?” Blanca sneered and approached Matthew, squinting at
him and threatening, “If you don’t want me to use it, fine. We can have those reporters wait in the room.
It’s time for work anyway, and I need to clock in. As for… how they’ll write about the Empire Group
disrespecting the media, it’s not something I have a say over.”
Blanca chuckled, making as if she wanted to leave.
Looking at her brisk attitude, Matthew’s brow worried. He couldn’t very well allow the good name of the
Empire Group to be ruined by some playground-level move by Blanca – or how childish would this be!
“You have ten minutes to clean this up, got it?”
Matthew said that and left.
So he wasn’t planning on getting involved in the meeting? Blanca’s eyes darkened. She’d relied on
herself since growing up, or she couldn’t have survived, so… even if Matthew left her out to dry, she
wouldn’t mind.
Blanca hummed a little tune on the way to the meeting room. The crowd of reporters in there were
getting impatient. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
Sure, the wife of the chairman looked nice and had prepared them some tea!
But they weren’t here for tea!
“Sorry to keep you waiting, everyone. Let me explain to you all what happened last night.” Blanca
walked in thinking nothing of it, stood in the center of the meeting room, and examined her
surroundings. “Actually, Mr. Grant and I argued yesterday, and he left me alone in the party.”
“Pffft-”
Just as Blanca finished, Curtis, who was in the meeting room as well, spat out his mouthful of water.
