Young Bride in a Lightning Marriage: Never Tired of Mr. Leon’s Love

Chapter 620

Chapter 620

Hudson glanced at the women, signaling for them to leave. Then, he picked up a drink from the table and started drinking alone. Seeing Koven in his drunken state made Hudson uneasy.

After drinking for a while, Hudson began to feel a little tipsy too, so he sat there in a daze.

Just then, Koven opened his eyes and was startled to see Hudson beside him.

"What are you doing here? My head hurts so bad," Koven mumbled, holding his head in a daze as he squinted at Hudson.

Seeing him awake, Hudson patted his back and asked, "How are you feeling? If you're fine, let's go."

"Why are you here?" Koven still could not quite figure out why Hudson was there.

Hudson shot him a glare.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

"You still have the nerve to ask, huh? Not only did you come here to drink alone without inviting me, but you even ended up like this. The bartender called me to come pick you up before a group of women took you home. Did you expect me not to come after hearing that?"

Hudson rolled his eyes at Koven.

Koven's head was still spinning, but he could vaguely recall having only a bit to drink. He did not understand how things escalated so quickly. He only remembered drinking with the women who kept pouring drinks for him.

"Have you figured it out yet? If you have, let's go. It's getting late," Hudson urged as he looked at the lost and confused Koven.

“Alright, let's go." Koven attempted to stand up, but the alcohol in his system had other ideas.

With his quick reflexes, Hudson supported Koven as he struggled to stay upright. He dragged Koven toward the exit.

"Oh my god, how much did you drink? You're so heavy," Hudson muttered, looking at Koven with annoyance.

Unaware of what was going on, Koven simply chuckled like an idiot.

"How much can I even drink?"

Koven's attempt to speak, coupled with his proximity to Hudson, caused his alcohol breath to nearly make Hudson retch.

"Enough, stop talking. You're making me gag," said Hudson, feeling ē thoroughly exasperated. He also had a bit to drink himself, but now, he was stuck dragging a drunkard around.

Koven just chucked in response to Hudson's words, leaving Hudson speechless.

Since Hudson had drunk too, he decided it was best to hail a cab and not risk getting arrested for drunk driving.

Hudson struggled to flag down a cab as many drivers refused to pick them up. They could see that Hudson was dragging along a drunk person while looking quite wobbly himself.

Hence, Hudson kept walking while keeping an eye out for any passing cars that might be willing to give them a ride.

Even after a while, they still could

not find a cab. The night breeze was getting stronger, causing the trees to sway dangerously. Pedestrians became increasingly sparse, leaving only the two of them on the road, looking extremely lonely.

After walking for what felt like an eternity, Hudson realized that his home was too far away. Left with other option, Hudson reluctantly took out his phone to call Matthew and see if he could come pick them up.

On the other end, Matthew was in his study organizing documents and preparing to go to bed when his phone started ringing.
