MY ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MR ARROGANT

Liam’s car stopped in front of Chloe’s elementary school, he waved her good bye after she hopped down from the car.

“Make sure to keep the school secure and safe” he said briefly to the guards who were in charge of Chloe’s protection.

He saw another car drive into the school premises, Amelia stepped out with Aidan.

Liam’s once fallen expression was lifted within seconds.

“I’m so upset with you big sis… you promised me that you will be back but you never came back” Chloe cried out.

Aidan coughed out “I’m your little troublemaker remember?”

Chloe took notice of the boy who she met at the hotel.. she didn’t need anyone to explain anything to her.

Liam leaned back on the seat as he watched them from a distance.

“You can move now” he murmured to the driver, could he have made a mistake about Amelia?

Amelia walked into the restaurant where Louisa had called for them to meet up…

“Amy.. are you crazy? you left without even seeing me first?”

Amelia led her mum to a seat “I didn’t mean to run away mum… i had no other choice… what was life when the people you love don’t trust you at all?”

Louisa bowed her head “Amy I’m sorry but I had to inform your mum about your arrival… she was the most worried about you”

Amelia nodded in understanding “It’s okay Lou… I understand”

“Have you seen Liam?” Cecile asked with worried eyes.

Amelia nodded her head “Yes mum… and he is still the same as always… he wants everything to go his own way”

Louisa took a seat next to Cecile, they both wanted to hear a side of Amelia’s story before jumping into conclusion.

“Amelia what really happened that day? and what made you think that you can run off just like that?”

Amelia swallowed hard as she recalled that awful day that ended the relationship between she and Liam.

Cecile and Louisa listened attentively to her with worry etched on their faces.

Liam picked up the telephone that was beside him, he raised it to his ear.

“Hmm… let her in”

The door opened and Mrs Williams entered the office.

Liam offered her a seat which she accepted, he didn’t have a problem with the mayor’s wife because she appeared to be the only good soul in her family.

“I’m sorry for coming unannounced.. I know that you are always busy…”

Mrs Williams paused her speech when she took notice of the red light flashing in her purse, she became alert her suspicion was true, they were keeping an eye on her and also monitoring her movement..

She placed a finger on her lips as she brought out a white envelope from her purse..

“My daughter won’t stay single forever I hope you know that?! so all that I’m saying is for you to get married to her as soon as possible… I already printed the invitation cards per the wedding date!”

Liam raised a brow, why did she suddenly change her words?

She casted him an apologetic look and raised her purse for him to see the red light flashing, he scoffed at the mayor’s foolishness..

What was the use of all this? she pointed to the envelope on the table and mouthed some words to him…

“It contains the whole truth, please go through it” Liam murmured as he read her moving lips…

“you may leave now Mrs Williams, thanks for whatever this is” he murmured.

Mrs Williams made a thumbs up to him and left his office..

Liam’s eyes travelled to the envelope on the desk, he took it and stared at it for a while wondering what truth it contains.

He went through the scribbled notes for sometime, his eyes turned red in anger.

With one swipe everything resting on his desk was thrown to the floor..

The mayor stood up as soon as he saw who just badged into his office and the amount of armed men who followed him in, he placed down the telephone and swallowed hard.

“Son in-law what brings you here?” The mayor smiled but deep down he was worried and should he say scared?

Liam pulled out a seat and sat down proudly with one of his legs over the other.

“Call the city council members and inform them of your resignation as the mayor!”

The mayor’s jaw dropped in shock, he wasn’t ready to resign yet, so what was Liam talking about?

“What do you mean by that?! who are you to tell me what to do?” Mr Williams yelled out and rose to his feet, he glared furiously at Liam who had a sly grin on his lips.

Liam snapped his fingers and a guard stepped forward with a laptop..

A short clip was played which showed Allison and Fred dangling over a hot boiling oil.

The mayor’s eyes widened as he stared at his children, he pointed to the laptop “What is the meaning of this Liam?”

Liam’s face remained indifferent “Pick up your phone and call the city council concerning your resignation! or else your children gets fried like a chicken!”

The mayor’s hands shakingly reached for his phone, he tapped his hands on his phone for a while and brought his shaky hands to his ear.

“I’m calling to inform you about my resignation from my current post as the mayor”

Liam smiled I’m victory and rose up to his feet.

“Liam let them go now… they will get hurt so badly!” the mayor yelled out as he watched the ongoing clip which showed Fred and Allison crying out…

Liam banged the desk with his hands “You shouldn’t have messed with me five years ago the way you did! You separated Amelia from me so that your daughter can get married to me, but guess what Mr mayor? I will make sure that your daughter remains single for the rest of her life!”

“And that goes for your son also!” he added.

Liam made a hand gesture and in seconds the mayor was bundled up by some hefty men….

“Take him away!” Liam ordered.

“Liam you are making a mistake! don’t do anything foolish…”

Liam hummed in reply and rolled up his sleeves, the mayor and his children has been taken care of… now it’s time he pays a visit to his old man, the real mastermind and the one who planned out everything…

“Old Grayson!” Liam muttered through clenched teeth.
