My Most Precious Human

Time to attack

Time to attack

I saved Sariel's phone number. I did it automatically, and then I stared at the screen, debating whether I

should contact him on my own or not. It quickly turned the night into a sleepless one. I was torn. I

wasn't sure if I could forgive Sariel for what he did, but my heart beat faster hearing that he hadn't given

up on us. On the other hand, Draven started doing a lot of tiny things that worked on me. He was

drawing me into his zone, and his captivation was almost irresistible.

I got up long before the alarm clock rang. Fortunately, I was running on adrenaline, my blood richer in it

than ever. Hormones sufficed for the lack of sleep. I got dressed and then walked out of my tent to

stretch. As I was standing in the middle of the still dark forest, wearing a pair of combat boots, combat

pants, and a black fitted top with short sleeves, I saw a pair of red pupils aiming at me. I turned my

head, facing those eyes, and saw Draven appear from the shadows by his tent. He stepped closer.

There was no one but us outside their tents. The rest were still asleep.

Draven walked towards me and stopped in a place where the moonlight finding its way through the tree

branches illuminated his face and onyx hair.

"Can't sleep?" he asked, his voice sensually low.

I shook my head and gave him a faint smile. He took a few steps closer, keeping his eyes locked on me

the entire time. There was little to no light around us, but I could still register him biting his lower lip as

his eyes went from my head to my toes and then back to my face. He didn't say a word. He only stood

there, thickening the air around us until his stare at me became unbearably hot. Suddenly, he reached

his hand to my face and brushed the strands of my loose hair from my cheek, his fingertips stroking my

skin. An electric wave rushed through me. I was overwhelmed by the hunger for him, and I hated

constantly losing control like that.

"I want you, Lilith." His whisper was strict, as if he was commanding him to submit to him.

I gulped as he took another step towards me. His eyes pierced right through me, undressing me slowly

and letting me taste his desire.

"I need you to become the queen, sitting beside my throne." His hands reached out, pulling me close to

him. "I know you want me to claim you. Just stop resisting."

The intensity of his gaze made my mouth dry, but still, I managed to find the strength to push him away.

"I can't…" I muttered restlessly, "Not like that…"

"Lilith, I can give you pleasure and the rightful position. Once you become mine, no one will ever dare

touch you. And with your abilities, you will make the Moon Hill Pack the most powerful pack in the

world." Power and confidence soaked into each word he said, but no matter how tempting his

declaration was, I knew that it wasn't something that I was looking for.

"Draven, I—"

"Alpha, the other groups are already gathering around Sangreville," Ari relieved me from my

uncomfortable chat with Draven.

Draven turned his head towards Ari, cleared his throat, and nodded, acknowledging Beta's words.

Then Ari went around the tents, waking up everyone, and I stayed with Draven, whose eyes returned to

me.

"We'll talk after we defeat the Scarlet Valley Pack," he stated firmly and walked back to his tent.

I released my breath. I wasn't even aware I was holding it. Shaking off my bemusement, I got back to

packing the rest of my stuff into the backpack and folding the tent. Forty minutes later, I was sitting

back in the black van, ready to drive into the enemy's territory.

The Sangreville, where we headed, was the heart of the pack's territory and the operation center for all

the illegal business. We had to be careful because there were humans living in the town as well. It

wasn't clear how many of them knew about the werewolves, which put turning into a wolf form right on

the outskirts of the question. That placed me in a fortunate position since I had a greater advantage in

fighting wolves in their human form.

Three groups were going to take over the harbor, the kingdom of drug dealers and human traffickers.

Two groups were going to the Luna Roja Club to impound the whole place, including the large, five-

story brothel right above the exquisite dance floors. Our group was aiming at the Scarlet Casino, which

was where most of the money went and was laundered through gambling. The casino was the core of

the crime town. It was up on the hill in a wealthy district, adjacent to Alpha Marcus's mansion.

Just before the vans crossed the Sangreville border, we were all given guns. I was surprised and felt

uncomfortable holding it in my hands. I had barely used a gun before.

"Is that really necessary?" I asked, leaning towards Draven's seat.

"Hopefully, we won't have to use it," he sighed heavily. "The bullets were filled with aconite to make

them deadly to werewolves, but the point of having those guns isn't to kill everyone. We merely want to

use them in case we have to chase humans away first. That is why we need to look more like... well,

human-like attackers," he explained.

I nodded, putting on a harness holster and hoping that I would never have to use the gun.

Once we entered the town, we had to move fast. Every second counted since we were spotted right

away. Ian drove us at insane speed towards the hill and the casino. Draven told me to stick close to

him when we arrived at the back of the grand building.

First, two of our high-tech geeks rushed to disarm the alarm and monitoring system. One of them

hacked their system from his laptop while sitting inside the van. At the same time, the other one cut the

right circuits, blinding the surveillance. A minute later, ten of our warriors restrained the security

guarding the place outside. They did it quietly, without unnecessary bloodshed. I was fascinated by

their coordinated movements, observing them hidden behind a row of hedges that separated the

casino's territory. Only by watching them did I realize this was real, and I was about to be a part of this

military mission.

Once the warriors secured the back and side entrances, Draven signaled the attack. Moving at an

insane speed, I hardly registered how I found myself in the main hall, filled with roulette, blackjack,

baccarat, and cash poker tables. Reacting to Alpha's fast commands, we surrounded the place. The

main safe and the offices were next to the main hall.

Draven picked the early morning as the time to attack deliberately. It was obvious that there wouldn't be

any gamblers at that time of day. It was the time of the day to store the money the house earned the

night before. With only the staff inside the casino, we could guess that there were almost no humans

among them. The security entered immediately, panting with fury and charging at us. Their eyes

glowed red, and they were all ready to shift into wolves, making it easy to differentiate them from

humans. Fortunately, it seemed that there were only wolves working in the casino.

The wolves securing the place kept gathering, coming at us from every side. We were observing each

other, trying to determine the other's strength. Three of the huge, viciously panting wolves stood in front

of me, moving slowly and preparing for an attack. My heart pounded frantically, pumping my muscles

with adrenaline while I kept glancing at Alpha's sign.

"Now!" he roared, his eyes blazing with rage.

All thirty of us charged at our opponents as if we shared a collective energy that ran in our systems. I

found that fight intoxicatingly exciting. My primal instincts took control, waking up the predator within

me. Our attack came fast, leaving the whole army of the casino's security guards without any time to

turn into wolf form.

I was driven by the fact that those bulky bodyguards underestimated my skills. As they received

another one of my hits, I could feed off their bemused gazes. The fear mixed with sweet satisfaction as

my blows reached the target time after time, knocking out my opponents. I dodged their attacks easily

and didn't even bother reaching for the knife. I didn't have to. Chuckling under my breath after another

big wolf fell from my punch, my eyes turned to look for Draven. I gasped in admiration. He was like a

killing machine. He charged forward mercilessly, knocking out everyone who dared to come his way in

less than three moves. Soon, it was hard to move as the floor became covered with unconscious

bodies, and our group was the only one left standing.

Draven kicked the door to the casino's main office, smashing it. Then he gestured at a few warriors,

and they dragged out the casino's main manager and his team.

He ordered one part of the group to "tie all of them, and lock them in one place."

"Yes, Alpha!" they all exclaimed, and started to restrain all of the casino workers, beginning with those

conscious ones.

Draven smirked proudly, announcing the first part of the mission accomplished. Then he took my hand

and led me outside while gesturing at the second part of the group to follow us.

"What's next?" I asked, panting and feeling like a gangster's girlfriend, which was something I couldn't C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

say I didn't like.

"We're going to the pack's main mansion." Draven grinned wickedly, "It's time to take down Alpha

Marcus."
