My Most Precious Human

Chapter 49

Chapter 49

The blonde-haired stretched out his hand to grab my wrist, but I dodged it.

"Don't touch me!" I yelled.

"Oh, honey, don't be so tense." The snake-eyed guy grinned wickedly. "I promise that you're going to

scream with pleasure right before you die. We'll do you good."

I took another step to the side. I knew there was an alley between the shelves behind me. I had to take

a risk and run. On my left side, I saw a box of documents within my reach. I grabbed the box and

forcefully threw it at them, and then started running towards the exit. Unluckily, my speed was limited

because of the heels I was wearing.

"What on Earth made me wear heels with a strip on my ankle?!" I cursed my idiotic decision, which

made taking the shoes off time-consuming.

The blonde-haired got to me first. He blocked my way as I was about to reach the door handle, then

pushed me away from the door, knocking me off my feet. His strength made me fly against the nearest

row of shelves and hit my head on a metal part of the shelf's construction. I touched the back of my

head and noticed blood on my hand.

"You smell so good…" He inhaled the air while leaning over me.

He grabbed my hand and tried to lick off the blood. I hurriedly snatched my palm from him, then

crawled away from him.

"Don't run, pretty." The blonde grabbed my foot and pulled me closer to him. "It's incredible that none of

the nobles marked you. If they did, you wouldn't die tonight." He chuckled.

"W-what if I am m-marked?" I gambled, my voice shaking.

"But you aren't, pretty one." A sly smile appeared on the blonde's face. "If you were, we would sense it,

and if you belonged to a noble, he would sense that you were in danger right away. Luckily for us, this

won't happen." He snickered and crouched down beside me.

Suddenly, I saw a metal strip underneath the shelf next to me. It seemed sharp, and it looked like it was

around a foot long. I knew that if I moved fast enough, I could grab it and use it as a weapon. I took a

deep breath. I lied down flat, stretching my whole body so that my hand could reach the strip. Then I

hurriedly tossed the strip towards the blonde. I managed to stab his stomach.

He snarled, looking at me, surprised. I guess he didn't expect a human to fight back. I knew that the

strip wouldn't harm him too much, but it gave me just enough time to jump up and get to the door.

"Where do you think you're going?" The snake-eyed guy appeared, and grabbed my hair, pulling me

away.

I couldn't give up when I was so close to the door. I grabbed his hand that was restraining me and

stabbed my nails into his palm.

"It's no use." The snake-eyes chuckled and threw me on the floor again.

All three of them stood beside me as I was trying to get myself up. Even the blonde-haired seemed to

already regenerate from the stab he got from me. They were laughing, mocking how weak I was. I

knew that I was completely defenseless against them when they were together, but I had to try

something… anything…

The blonde-haired leaned over me. I briefly looked at his abdomen that I had stabbed, and it looked like

nothing had happened except for the blood on his torn white shirt. I gulped. I realized that if I wanted to

fight against them, I had to try harder than that.

The other two observed as if they were waiting for their turn. The blonde grinned wickedly, showing his

sharp fangs ready to bite me. At that moment, I knew that I would rather die than let him mark me. I

didn't want anyone to taste my blood except for Sariel. When he leaned closer, I had awakened all of

the strength to resist that I had within me. I threw a punch in his face, smashing his nose. He growled

painfully while I stood up and put my guard up.

The other two charged at me at once. I ducked, dodging the snake-eyed guy's punch, then cut the cap

guy's feet, knocking him down, and kicked his balls.

"Bitch, you'll regret resisting us!" The snake-eyes thundered, his nails turning into long, sharp claws. Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

I exhaled. The fury filled my body with an unexpected force. I had to fight for my survival, and that

might have been my best chance to attack the snake-eyed guy. I did a roundhouse kick and then

finished it by stabbing one of his eyes with my heel. He blared as his eyeball turned into a dark-red

pulp.

I finally got rid of my heels and ran barefoot, hiding between the shelves. I knew that it wouldn’t be long

before they found me. I could only stall for time, hoping that Gabriel would somehow figure out that

something was going on. He wanted me to review the contracts. He must have assumed I'd do it right

away… But what if he never wanted me to check on those documents in the first place?

I looked up at the cameras on the ceiling. They were all black as if someone had turned them off on

purpose. I smiled bitterly. I found myself in a perfect setup. How could I ever be so stupid?! The email

was supposed to trigger me, and it did. I had been played, and I did everything that those bastards

wanted me to. I didn't even close the damn door! The thought that I was going to die because of

something so stupid made my blood boil.

I was slowly walking among the shelves, listening to hear the slightest sound of their steps. I knew that

my senses could never match theirs, but I had to use everything I had. It was going to be harder when

they already knew I could fight. I could only harm them because that wasn't something they expected.

The second round was going to be completely different…

"Got you, little bitch!" I heard a voice coming from above me.

I looked up. There was the guy in a cap sitting on top of the row of shelves. In a split of a second, he

jumped down, pulling out his sharp claws. I jumped back, but his claws had already reached my skin,

making a long, horizontal cut on my abdomen, right below my ribs. I felt a stinging pain that made me

bend, and a second later, blood flooded my dress. The smell of it quickly alarmed two other vamps.

Their prey was already wounded, and all they needed to do was finish the job.

They surrounded me. I stepped back until my back leaned against the row of shelves. I had no place to

run to. Their claws were pointed at me. They were inhaling and getting drunk with the smell of my blood

as they took another step towards me.

I aimed my kick at the guy in the cap, but he caught my foot and stabbed his claws into my skin. I

screamed in pain while tearing away my leg from his grasp and ripping my flesh in the process. They

burst out laughing. They wanted me to give up, but I couldn't. I threw a hit at the blonde, but he blocked

it and used all five of his claws to make deep cuts along my chest, going down to my stomach. I

collapsed on my knees. The agonizing pain forced a loud roar from the top of my lungs, but that was it.

I could no longer fight. I lost. My shirt was ripped to shreds, and the blood covered my entire chest, and

I felt like I was going to lose my awareness due to blood loss much quicker than they would drain me.

The vampires stuck their fangs out, ready to attack. I closed my eyes.
