Chapter 52
Chapter 52
Tears streamed down Liam’s face as he listened to Celena talk in her
sleep. He leaned against the edge of the bed, burying his face next to Celena’s hand in great sorrow.
He kept promising her over and over again, saying, “I’m sorry that I am the reason you got hurt again, Celena. I promise I won’t let anybody harm you again from now on. I want to let you live as you please. I’ll get you whatever you want, even if you want the whole world.”
Liam remained sitting next to the bed while holding her hands and looking at her.
It had been seven years since he took a proper look at her. The first time he saw her was at the wedding, where their nightmares had started.
Clora was a woman Liam had loved for years. He had wanted to give her all he had in the past.
At that time, both of them were from the top families in Drunham City. Both of them had grown up together as well. Everybody thought they were a match made in heaven.
They had gotten along very well too. They were practically joined at the hips, attending all sorts of occasions together.
However, she had joined others to drug Liam and set him up at the wedding he had looked forward to. They had taken the chance to take over the Coles’ properties, which caused Liam’s parents to die with resentment.
Later, they even tried to have him killed. They had sent many assassins to hunt him down.
The way Liam’s parents begged the Walkers to save him was still vivid in his mind. Liam could never ever forget the grudge against the Walkers for wiping out his family.
He had lost count of the times he had dreamed of himself giving up his dignity, kneeling before Clora, and begging her to let his parents.

Clora simply looked down at him and said viciously, “Liam, do you think I really like you? You’re just a tool for my family to become the top family in Drunham City. I deserved better, not a man like you. From now on, the Coles won’t exist in Drunham City anymore. The Walkers will be the only one at the top.” This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
The way Clora looked down at him, her mocking tone, and her
disdainful expression had played in his head like a movie. It had tortured him for countless nights.
At the grandest wedding of Drunham City, Liam was taken to Celena’s lounge by Clora. He had defiled Celena.
Later, he was hunted by the Walkers so he went to his good friend for
help.
Unexpectedly, his friend had long been in cahoots with the Walkers. He brought Liam straight to the Walkers who had been hunting for
him.
At that time, Liam had been betrayed by his lover and his friend, so he was already on the brink of losing it.
If it were not for Celena, he would have died a long time ago. He never would have become the commander-in-chief of the Pendragon
Warriors, much less the head of the Cole family.
Liam sat next to Celena to keep her company. He looked at her face, trying to etch it in his memory. She was the woman Liam wanted to
do all he could to protect for the rest of his life.
Right at that moment, Calum opened the door softly. As he was about. to speak, Liam signaled him with his eyes not to disturb Celena and to talk outside instead.
Liam carefully tucked Celena in before leaving the room with Calum.
“Sir, The Igrargon had returned to their respective countries to carry out their mission. Albert and the others are at the manor next door
with the Four Elders. They are standing by for your orders.”
Liam nodded quietly after hearing that.
Calum continued, “Also, I’ve just got news that Cheryl will be having an engagement party tomorrow night. It’ll be held at the Sovereign Hotel. That’s the place where you had your wedding back then. Majority of the high society of Drunham City will be attending.”
Liam sneered. An intense desire to kill gleamed in his eyes.
