Chapter 57 Eva’s Mysterious Boyfriend
Back then, Eva was a nobody with a bad reputation in the entertainment industry. This was a perfect chance to change the public opinion toward Eva. So, Bonnie went for it.From NôvelDrama.Org.
The result turned out to be better than she had expected.
With the clarification of her name, Eva gained a lot of fans on set. The crew even went to ask her to sign for them when she was having a break.
Six months passed like six seconds. They finished shooting “Rose in the Wind”. The director informed the crew to celebrate in Hilton at 8 p. m.
Finally finishing their work of high density and intensity, the crew waited at the table happily for everyone to present.
Eva was surrounded by the crew proposing toasts to her. She was already a little tipsy. However, no one cared to ask about Sheila. There were only a few other celebrities scattered around her.
“I’m the female lead! How dare you steal my thunder, Eva! I will make you pay for this.” Sheila thought as she glared at Eva, irritated.
Sheila forced a smile and went to drink a toast to the director and others. When she was making a toast to Sam, she pretended to be tripped and spilled the wine on Eva’s dress.
“Oh, no! I’m sorry!” Sheila smiled hypocritically.
The murky crimson stained Eva’s gorgeous dress. Seeing Eva looking like a mess, Sheila found some balance back.
Anyone in their right mind could see that Sheila did it on purpose. However, since she had already apologized, Eva couldn’t do anything but said reluctantly, “It’s okay.”
Sheila sat in the room for a little while longer, then went to the restroom. Seeing that, Eva excused herself and followed her.
“Are you following me? Bitch?” Sheila apparently didn’t want to see Eva.
Eva scoffed, “This is not your house. I can be wherever I want to be.”
“Glib!”
“At least I’m not as shady and fake as you, Miss Sommers.” Eva shot back.
“Who are you calling shady and fake? Do you want to die, Eva Sommers?” Sheila glared at her.
“You, of course,” Eva answered in an imposing manner.
Sheila walked to the sink next to the one Eva was using and turned on the tap.
“Miss Sommers, do you believe in karma?” With that, Eva dried her hands, gave Sheila a meaningful smile, and left the restroom.
Sheila was blinded by the rage. She glared in the direction where Eva had disappeared into and tried to follow her. Before she could teeter out of the restroom in her high heels, she slipped on a puddle of liquid soap.
A crew member walked in to see Sheila slipped on the floor with her legs splayed out. “Sheila, are you okay?” The crew member held back her laughter and asked.
Sheila quickly walked back to the private room, humiliated.
Eva got a little drunk as the gathering came to the end. The crew said goodbye to each other and was ready to leave.
Just when she walked out of the door, she bumped into something. The pain on her nose made her widen her bleary eyes, looking at the human wall responsible for her little injury. She rubbed her nose in an attempt to ease the pain as she pouted and mumbled.
Upset by the fact that someone had blocked her way, she tried to push this person away. However, she soon found her hands wrapped by a pair of larger ones.
“Who are you? Make way!”
Looking at Eva’s ruddy cheeks and bleary eyes, Caleb tightened the clasp on her hands subconsciously and the gentle pull made Eva fall into his arms.
“Are you throwing yourself at me?”
Why did this hottie look a little like Caleb?
“What? You just threw yourself at me.” She smirked. Caleb had one arm around her waist, stroking her hair with his free hand. Caleb knew what was Eva like when she was drunk. He was worried that she would drink too much, so he came to pick her up.
“You are so cute. Even if I threw myself at you, I wouldn’t regret it,” Eva mumbled as she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him on the lips.
It was like time stood still for the two.
When Caleb recovered from the daze, he pecked on Eva’s soft lips.
“Let’s go home.”
She could do anything to him when they got home.
Caleb didn’t forget that they were in public, and that people were watching them.
Eva stared at Caleb’s face. She was so drunk that she staggered even with his support.
Seeing that, Caleb simply picked her up and carried her to the car.
“Caleb? Is that you?” Eva pinched his cheek.
So she just kissed me without knowing who he was?
He carefully put Eva down in the passenger’s seat, then drove back to Rosenfeld Hill.
The black Bentley swept past before the crew members could even react.
“Is that Eva’s boyfriend? Although I didn’t see his face, I feel like he is definitely a charming man.” A girl in the crew started to gossip, almost shrieking.
“Yeah, too bad I didn’t see his face. I can tell he is handsome as hell,” another girl chimed in.
“Eva’s boyfriend is so gentle yet so manly!”
“How I wish I could find a boyfriend like Eva’s!”
“Eva’s boyfriend is such a Prince Charming!”
Adam was also surprised that Caleb would come to pick Eva up in person. He looked down at the floor and heaved a sigh.
Hearing the buzz around her, Sheila glared in the direction where the car had zoomed past.
“Isn’t Eva just a toy to Caleb? Why would he pick her up in person? Brody didn’t come here to pick me up!” Sheila clenched her fists so tightly that her sharp fingernails left crescent marks on her palms.
This was not fair. Why should Eva get all the good luck?
Eva, on the other hand, was sound asleep and didn’t know she and Caleb just caused quite a stir among the crew members.
“Who is this! People have to sleep, you know?” Nathan was woken up by a call.
When he saw who was calling, he forced himself to calm down.
“Clarification.” Caleb’s cold voice sounded from the phone.
“For what?” Nathan yawned a reply in puzzlement.
“Today’s news.” With that, Caleb hung up.
Nathan looked at his screen saver, utterly speechless.
