Chapter 597 Lance's Assistance
Faye was outspoken, which made Helen speechless.
Helen pressed her lips together and looked at Faye. After a long time, she opened her mouth to say,
"Hank has always been good to you."
Faye said, "I never denied it."
Helen took a breath.
Faye said indifferently, "But you need to know that we are talking about him and Colin, not him and
me."
Helen was speechless.
The living room felt into silence again. Desperately, Helen swayed and knelt down on the ground.
After a while, she stood up from the ground, without interceding for Hank, and bowed deeply at Colin.
"Colin, I apologize to you on behalf of my whole family."
Colin was silent.
Helen took breaths and said, "I know that no matter what I say now, you will not forgive us, and I don't
ask you to forgive me. I just want to speak out, so I can feel better."
After saying it, Helen turned and left.
She walked outside and passed by Faye.
Faye said coldly, "Apologizing should make the other party feel better, not to make yourself relieved."
Helen paused and turned to look at Faye.
Faye tilted her head to meet Helen's gaze. "Don't put moral coercion on us."
Helen looked straight at Faye, with her hands clenched and nails pinched into her palms. She
whispered, "Faye, I never knew you are such a person. I've been proven wrong."
Faye said calmly. "That's your affair."
Helen was wordless and she almost fled in the end.
Because she walked too fast, she almost fell down when she went down the steps out of the door.
As soon as Helen left, Faye walked back to the porch to change her high heels.
She was ready to bend over, Colin following behind stopped her with his hand. "I'll do it."
He crouched down and put on the slippers for Faye.
Faye drooped her eyes. "Did Helen ask you to help Hank?"
Colin nodded.
Faye frowned lightly, with a touch of displeasure flashing across her face.
Colin looked up and gave her a smile. "Are you angry?"
Faye bent down and kissed Colin's forehead. "I'm really not happy."
Helen came down from the steps and went straight to the gate. She walked in anger and heard Lance's
voice from behind. "Helen."
Hearing this, Helen stopped and turned her head stiffly.
Lance stepped forward without a slovenly attitude. "Is Hank in trouble?"
Helen nodded her head.
Lance pulled out a cigarette from his pocket and bit it in his mouth to light it. He took a drag on the
cigarette and kept silent.
Helen said in a weeping voice, "Lance."
Lance took off the cigarette and flicked the ashes. He looked at Helen. "You shouldn't have come to
meet Colin."
Helen pressed her lips. "I know."
Lance said, "What the Farrells did to him... was too wicked."
Hearing this, Helen felt getting a lump in her throat. After a long time, she replied, "I know."
She continued, "I also learned later. At first, I thought they were just competing for the position of
president."
Lance witnessed Helen's growth. He knew Helen didn't tell a lie.
Although she was arrogant, she was not heinous essentially.
Family was the first school for children. In such a growth environment, it was uneasy for Hank and
Helen to not be affected thoroughly.
Helen reached out to pull Lance's clothes. "Lance, can you help Hank on account of your long-time
friendship?"
Lance sighed heavily. "But we are now in opposition."
Helen sobbed. "I know, but Hank didn't want to be against Colin. If you help him, you will not betray Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
Colin..."
Lance said nothing.
Noticing his silence, Helen said in tears, "It's the previous generation who did something wrong. Why
should we pay a price? My parents had passed away. Hank and I had realized our mistakes. We never
thought about to bring any trouble to Colin. Why can't they give us a chance..."
Helen cried out of breath.
Lance frowned and patted her arm gently. "Crying can't solve any problem."
Helen suddenly fell into Lance's arms. "Lance, I'm begging you. Please help Hank."
Suddenly, Lance was at a loss.
When Helen let go of him, Lance coughed twice to cover up his embarrassment and said, "I'll see what
I can do."
Helen excitedly said, "Really?"
Lance nodded.
After more than ten minutes, Lance sent Helen off.
Seeing her off, Lance turned back to Fennth Community. He could hardly enter the gate when he saw
Andy leaning against the wall and staring at him with his hands around his chest.
Lance's heart thumped. "Andy."
Andy asked coldly, "Do you like her?"
