Mrs. Gibson Your identity is Exposed

Chapter 824

Chapter 824 Don’t interfere in my affairs

While Hayley and Mrs. Gibson discussed what to do next, the internet was buzzing with theories and

accusations about what was going on.

Melissa did not take any public relations measures since she already distanced herself from Hayley. All

Hayley could do was hide as much as possible. Hiding didn’t matter as she had been doxed and all her

information was out on the internet.

Some people thought it was fake while others turned their attention to Melissa and Star Entertainment.

How could they have been fooled by this woman? Clearly, her innocence was all fake. Or perhaps

Melissa assisted her and was letting her take the fall.

Melissa sat in her office watching the discussion and had no intention of clearing the air.

“You’re still not going to make a statement?” Shayna asked.

Melissa shook her head and said, “Do you think I need to? Hayley should’ve listened to me in the first

place. Her arrogance got her in this position. She got herself into this mess. She can get herself out of

it. Hopefully, she’ll learn her lesson and not make this worse.”

“I agree as long as it doesn’t endanger the company,” Shayna said. She didn’t have any work to do and

accompanied Melissa to the company.

People were becoming even more suspicious of Star

Entertainment’s nonresponse.

“Are they scared? They don’t dare to respond. Maybe this isn’t Hayley’s fault,”

The discussion switched to Melissa. People began berating her and dragging her name through the

mud. However, Melissa still did not care.

“Boss, the reporter from the newspaper wants to see you,” the assistant said.

“Fine. I will meet him in the conference room,” Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

The assistant arranged the meeting and Shayna and Melissa waited for the reporter.

The person who came was not an ordinary reporter, but the editor- in-chief of the newspaper.

Melissa sighed inwardly. Had the situation affected the editor-in- chief? Perhaps this was starting to get

out of control.

“I thought I would be speaking with one of your reporters. I didn’t expect you to come here in person,”

Melissa stated as she greeted him. The editor-in-chief just smiled faintly and looked at Melissa, “I

thought it was necessary that I came in person.”

Melissa asked directly, “What do you want to know about the situation since I am sure you are here

because of Hayley?”

The corner of the editor-in-chief’s mouth twitched slightly, revealing a smile, “Since Ms. Eugen is so

straightforward, then I will be as well.”

Melissa gave the assistant a look that told her to be on guard at the door to make sure no one

eavesdropped.

“Before I came to you, your entertainer Hayley came to me and said that she wanted me to help her

clarify this matter, but I always felt that this matter needed your consent first. After all, she is an

entertainer employed by your company,”

Sure enough, what Melissa guessed was right. Hayley, couldn’t find a breakthrough here, so naturally,

she had to find another person to help her settle these scandals. The newspaper was her best choice

as a newspaper would not publish gossip. It would improve her popularity as well as frame Melissa if

done correctly.

“I’ll tell you the truth. I didn’t intend to help or take action,” Melissa said simply.

“What do you mean? Isn’t she the entertainer of your company?”

The editor-in-chief didn’t understand.

Shayna explained to her, “Our company has always been cultivating ethical, high-quality entertainers.

Do you think our company would want an entertainer like Hayley?”

“Are you going to give up on her?” the editor-in-chief asked repeatedly, still a little unwilling to give up.

“As a matter of fact, yes I am. Although she is an entertainer from our company, she does not belong to

our company. So far, she is a freelancer. If your newspaper wants to try to slander us, you can try,”

Melissa answered. “You must know that the newspaper has always been seen as a respectable way to

learn about the news. If you openly intervene in the entertainment industry or help a bad entertainer

slander someone else to justify her actions, wouldn’t that damage your reputation?”

Melissa paused to sip her tea before continuing, “As editor-in- chief, it’s a good thing for you to think

about the interests of the newspaper, but I advise you to not intervene in internal matters.”

The editor-in-chief smiled, and suddenly saw the current situation in the entertainment industry, “I

originally thought that your company did not have enough strength to deal with such a problem, but

today it seems that I was overthinking the situation.”

Originally, the editor-in-chief was thinking of taking on this story. He figured it would boost reviews, but

after discussing this, he was thinking that it may be the complete opposite.

“As long as our company has other places that need a newspaper office, I will definitely find you

directly” Melissa called immediately, and the assistant asked for the contact information of the editor-in-

chief.

Melissa personally escorted the editor-in-chief out of the company building and gave him a lot about

the company’s surroundings and benefits before leaving.

After returning, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper immediately issued a copy of the internal

adjustment of Star Entertainment.

This story was impartial and only told the facts objectively. This suddenly pushed Hayley to the peak of

public opinion. Hayley couldn’t sit still in the hotel either, seeing things getting out of control, so she had

to go out to solve it by herself

So, she released a fabricated voice recording on her private social platform, and the content of the

recording was Melissa who helped her connect with unscrupulous people.

The implication was that everything she did was fueled by Melissa behind the scenes.

As soon as the recording was submitted, the internet exploded.

Everyone that had been criticizing Hayley harshly was now on her side.
