Chapter 92 Meeting Grandpa
Matthew didn’t bother debating with her and snatched her out of the blankets.
He dragged the still sleepy Blanca to the restroom to wash and change. Blanca still couldn’t somewhat open her eyes. She shrugged, and picked a white shirt along with a plaited skirt. She tied her hair in a ponytail behind her head, her whole being emanating youth.
“What are you doing waking me so early, Matthew? Not letting me go out and work…”
Blanca was a hard working person. She could hardly ever get enough food when she was small, so she always worked hard with the thought that if there was money to be made, she would definitely make it.
But… she had a habit of sleeping in.
“We’re going to see the old man,” said Matthew.
His gaze swept a circle around Blanca’s body, and his thin lips curved up slightly. He was used to all the luxury brand gowns that Louise and gang wore, but looking at Blanca’s energetic get-up, it was a fresh aura.
Looking at her like this, young, bouncy…
“What are you looking at? Something on my face? Or… are my clothes too old? I’ll go change.”
Blanca thought that Matthew was put off by her clothes. After all, every time they went to the Grant household, Louise was in all that elegant high-end finery, while she had the sort of twenty-buck outfit she got off online shopping… that was probably embarrassing Matthew, wasn’t it?
Blanca ran through the most expensive clothes of hers in her head, but Matthew simply said, “Those clothes are fine. Let’s go.”
With that, he’d already walked out.
Blanca didn’t dare hold things up and hurriedly took her purse and dogged out. She was in white sneakers today, and her speed was a match for Matthew’s long legs.
Following behind Matthew, they cut the look of a handsome and beautiful couple, and were particularly easy on the eye.
Mrs. Brown saw that and couldn’t stop beaming. “Sir, madam, are you still having breakfast at home today?” She’d prepared breakfast, but usually, if the young master was going to the Grant house, he needed to go back for breakfast.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.
“No need. We’ll go out this time, and there’s no need to prepare lunch, either.” Giving out his commands, Matthew brought Blanca with him and left.
Still a smile on her face, Blanca turned around and waved at Mrs. Brown. “Bye, Mrs. Brown!”
She went with Matthew to the Grant house and found the atmosphere at home was actually quite heavy. The old man sat on the living room sofa, a bit of anger in his face. Louise and Carrie stood to the side. There were shattered shards of ceramic on the floor. Clearly someone had smashed them!
An argument?
Or…
Blanca looked a bit worriedly at Matthew. Matthew didn’t have a good expression either. Seemed he hadn’t expected this.
“Dad, I’ve married into this family for twenty years, and I’ve always done what you wanted. You said my son should go overseas to study, and I agreed when he was still small. You kept me out of the Empire Group, so I just stayed at home and got close with those rich wives, playing cards. But now, you want Blanca that outsider, that little kid, to manage this house? What does she even know? Why not give it to my daughter then? Have you ever thought of Louise as part of the family?”
Carrie pointed at Alan somewhat resentfully.
For twenty years, she’d broken her back, waiting simply for an opportunity for her to manage the house. When the old man died, she could take it all. But now the old man was giving it all to Blanca! How could she not be mad?!
