Tales Of The Were-Origin
“Any news from Oceaniana?”
“Nothing yet”
“I’m Moderno Herdy Shangron, I was born in a local region in Morrasta and, I became a shapeshifter when I was in a training school called Edexe, in Jaspon. My father was a Goldsmith and a famous fantasy Writer and, my grandfather was always called Pappo Reye….”
“Ergh….” Clara sighed.
“When I was in that training school, I met with three strange girls who always told me they all had a crush on me. I wasn’t any moved, though but, I think I also showed them some love. They were Eugene, Crenghita and Sophia.” I continued.
“Moderno, the crushee!” She exclaimed with a tease.
“These ladies were the wealthiest in the whole universe, especially in the entire country of Morrasta. It was said that, they had private Gubros to themselves and jets, as well. As young as they were, they were known as great celebrities. Actually, Sophia was someone of my taste because, she knew how to act and do things in such a romantic way that, you would want to woo her next. I also came to know that, these rich kids were orphans and before, urchins. Eugene walked up to me one day and told me her life story. I think I should share it with you, darling?” I moved on with my narration.
“Remember you are still mated, you need to be careful of how you tell stories of girls around you, especially your crushes and exes” Clara advised.
“Thank you, dear but, I’m not mated and will never be”
“If you receive your therapy, you will no longer be mated to anyone” she revealed.
“Really?” I asked, as shocked.
“Yes, Eugene was a popular musician, you know, so the little I remember about her was that, she was once mated to a monster man called Jungolo before she later met with me and, I nullified that effective attachment in her life. Few weeks ago, it was discovered, with am evidential test that, she was never mated. Actually, that therapy only works with those people who were unconsciously mated or copulated with.”
“You know too much, my dear”
“Trust me, I am Clara and I give clear details!” She hailed.
“Haha” I laughed.
“The therapy was invented by Nissi Fellonto, from Germon”
“Nissi Fellonto never came from Germon” I refuted.
“I know you will say that; Fellonto was born in Durra and was bred in Germon” she further explained.

“So, what about Eugene?”
“Yes, Eugene said she was a wretched and aspiring artist. She would create some wooden instrument, add some magic tones into it and start playing with it. It was called Eugon then, and some years later, everyone started purchasing it from her. Nine weeks after then, Coldier got to know about it; he modernized it, renewed it, colored it and began to sell it, on Eugene’s behalf. He never collected any commission from her until she became very rich from that business. Eugon, my dear, was far better than the guitar, piano or any other Real World instrument. You could play it with your feet, mouth, hands, fingers or teeth. It looked more like a piano than it did, a xylophone. The Eugon had the right tone keys: do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, te and the high-toned do. The inventor was actually known to be Eugene Cards. Let me tell you the others’ full names: Crenghita was called Crenghita Lawdrone while the last one in the list, was known to be Sophia Greentree. They sincerely had sweet names.
“The Eugon?”
“Yes”
“How I wish I could write a novel titled that – The Eugon…”
“Yes, you can actually do.”
“Wait, did Eugene help poor people after getting rich?”
“Hmm, yes, she did”
“Was she the one that founded the Eugene Careshow?”
“I think so, yes!” I answered with a shout.
“Why did you exclaim?” Clara asked keenly.
“Nothing than a strange noise and feeling.”
Clara really knew what I felt that I referred to as “noise and feeling.” But, I never really expected her to. She was going to ask me some questions on mood swings, according to the conclusion I made, on my mind.
“Mood swing?” She asked.
“More than that, my dear” I lied.
“So, I think it’s time we postponed our interesting discussion for another day, right?”
“Yeah.”
Clara went into the kitchen and brought out some vegetables to prepare food for me. She was a talented cook. Well, I always wondered where she learnt her scintillating culinary skills, up till now.
“Do you know Guinness?” She asked, from the kitchen where she was.
“The beer?”
“No, Guinness World Records; do you know about it?”
“I think I do, but partially.”
“When I was in a country called Yermani in the Europe, I was told there was a record group that was known worldwide and was called The Guinness World Records. Many people have won awards from this organization and are some still winning. I remember some cook are now performing their cook-a-thons. They could cook for 180 hours non-stop.”
“What!”
“Yes, but the Guinness World Records was not a Yermanian group though. I only saw it online that they existed, while I was there.”
“I understand, baby” I said.
“So, one of them….”
“Darling, what are you cooking?” I cut in.
“I’m thinking of making vegetable sticks for you” she replied.
“Please, add some pepper sauce” I added.
“Anything for you, my love”
“Thanks, I’m just too hungry now, baby” I confessed and let out a disturbing yawn.
“Argh…. babe, what a yawn!”
I laughed and came to the kitchen, where she was sitting, on a big kitchen keg. I curved my hands round her neck and gave her a massage, as she went on with the cooking.
Vegetable sticks was a very delicious food in our world. It looked like the Real World’s wafer sticks which contained either chocolate or some other additives like cream, milk or yoghurt. The way Clara made hers was however different; she poured pepper into the mashed vegetables and blended all together, she would then let it freeze and later shapen it into rolls and burn it in the furnace cooker.
It took hours to make vegetable sticks because, it was the only food or snacks, that had the highest number of ingredients. Vegetable sticks contained salt, sugar, oil, water, milk, little soft drink, yeast, strawberries, garlic, onions, ginger, sweetener, honey, pepper or tomato, fish, egg whites, crayfish, lemon, little flour, little alcohol, syrup, sweetdrug, cashew water, colourine, jam, nuts and orange seeds.
Out of the ingredients I mentioned, I guessed there were some of them that weren’t found in the Real World, at all. Sweetdrug was a very sweet medicinal fruit which was mainly used to heal malaria, cough and hypertension. Cashew water was the liquid derived from mashed cashew plus icy honey. And the colourine, which was a colourful liquid from Durra that could be sticky at night and drawing in the morning. It was said and sure that, whenever you left colourine in the afternoon, it would taste more like honey than any other sweet substance.
In one and a half hour, Clara was done in the kitchen. The vegetable sticks she made this time was so tantalizing that, I almost fell when I was about to taste it, without her consent.
“Come in, my love” I called.
“Are you that hungry?”
“Than anything, please dish some in my favorite plate there”
