When I realized Alexa wasn’t going to speak, he let his grip on the chair’s arms loose and stood up straight, therefore releasing April from his chair prison.

“It’s Alright then.”

I spoke in an ‘I give up’ manner.

“I’ll be in my office. Sorting out the documents for the clothing line would take some time, so I’ll have it sent to you by one of the office workers. It was nice being the manager, so if I enjoyed it… You will too”

I beamed a hurt smile at her and my dad and walked out of his office.

“Anderson… Wait!”

I heard my dad call to me, but I never looked back.

April is so unbelievable and dad is always supporting her.

I still find it shocking that she’d hit me and dad didn’t do anything to reprimand her actions.

He just sat and watched.

But when it was my turn to take any action, he became protective of her.

She’s getting under my skin and is slowly becoming an infection I have to treat at its early stage because if I don’t, the little infected patch would become a huge blown disease.

Walking into my office, I plopped down on my chair and telephoned my PA.

>Becky: Hello sir.

> Anderson: Where are you?

> Becky: Right in front of you sir.

When I heard that, I looked straight ahead and saw her outside my office sitting at her desk right on the opposite side.

How could I have forgotten she was there?

See what thinking about April has caused me, it wasn’t like I was forgetful or something.

I smiled nervously at Becky. She must be thinking I’m stupid asking where she was when in fact I had walked past her and sat down facing her in my own office.

> Anderson: I need you to find some files for me.

> Becky: Alright sir. Should I get a coffee for you before coming?

She knows I like coffee a lot, but I had taken two already, taking one more would be too much caffeine, so I decided against it.

> Anderson: No. Just come here.”

> Becky: Alright sir.

I watched as she dropped the phone, straightened her skirt and when she got to her shirt I looked away and picked up a copy of a contract I was to sign tomorrow. I studied it carefully and jotted down some offers that weren’t a benefit for my company.

“This contract would have to go through correction and be remade… That is if Empire Corp was interested in making a deal with us.” I thought.

This contract favored them more and I wondered who the heck made it.

It was so amateur!

“Oh… I forgot.”

The founder had recently handed down the company to his son.

If only my father would do the same.

“Sir.”

I looked up and I saw Becky staring at me and I realized I was thinking once more.

“Hey”

“You needed my presence for some files.” She said in her professional tone and flashed a smile my way.

Was it my imagination, di or did she unbutton two of her buttons?

And that smile…

Wait.

Was this lady tryna seduce me or what?

Funny

Very funny

She was not my type

“You’re not my type of woman Becky” I spoke out.

“Huh?” She asked feigning ignorance.

Pretender!

I hated these types of women… Tsk.

“Button up your shirt, I’m working,” I said glumly.

“Oh.” She let out and when she put her hand on her shirt, I told her to go to a side of my office and do whatever there.

“Sir, I’m done.” She said and I looked back at her.

“Find the files for Green Wears,” I told her.

“Which one sir?” She asked.

“All of them,” I replied and my face turned glum when I remembered I was gonna hand everything to April.

She was practically one of my business enemies now, I don’t care if she’s my sibling anymore.

To me, concerning business matters, we were now rivals.

“If I may ask, why sir?”

“You don’t need to know,” I replied to her.

“Um, sir officially I need to know. I’m your PA.” Becky stated.

Oh yes!

She did have a point.

“I’m giving it to April.”

“You mean your junior sister?” She asked and I got annoyed.

Annoyed at the fact that she pointed out the fact that April was my sister. It made me remember that no matter how much I wanted to hate her, she would still and always be my sibling.

“Yes. My younger sister” I replied dryly.

“But why? I mean we were doing so well.” Becky said.

“Yes. Indeed we were doing so well, but someone quite disagreed with that and it’s hers now” I played with my pen in anger.

“Oh. I’ll go get the files now.” Becky said and went to the shelf on the farther end of my office.

Apart from her beauty and outstanding curves, her efficiency and dedication to work were one of the reasons I chose her out of 57 individuals to be my PA.

She knew when and when not to cross past the boundary in our professional relationship.

Becky walked up to Anderson with a mini trolley being dragged behind her.

The files were much and gathering them had taken a lot of time than she had expected.

“Here are the files Sir.”

Anderson dropped what he was doing and stood up from his seat.

He walked over to Becky and took the trolley from her.

He inspected the files in it.

She had indeed done a good job.

She took it upon herself to arrange the files alphabetically.

Anderson gave her a small smile to commend her and she smiled back in satisfaction.

“Find a way to send these files to Green Wears. Specifically, to April.” Anderson said with sadness lingering at the end of his voice.

Becky noticed this and she felt sorry for him. She put a hand on his shoulder and whispered an

“It’s going to be alright sir.”

Anderson looked at her and smiled a little and Becky walked out of his office while dragging the trolley behind her.
