Chapter-57: Rejected mate
Allison didn't want to burden her brother with her troubles.
"Nothing much but you tell me now what exactly happened in the battle for which you left? Did He really kill our father and people...What's the truth, Mason!" Allison asked urgently. Mason sighed and raked his hands on his face in exhaustion.
"Ali, Midnight crescent pack or more like Alpha Ralph deceived us. He supported the packs who went against the lycan king in the war. They wanted him to be dead, they wanted the earth to be free from the Lycans. So many of them got together to declare war against him and our Alpha sent us to the Blue Moon pack as accompaniment, the already defeated pack to fight against the Dark Lord. Can you imagine the shock when we saw him on the battlefield?" Allison stared at her brother with shock.
"We thought we would be fighting some werewolf packs to save the Blue Moon pack but the truth was something else. Being the head of the warriors, Dad understood the situation, he warned and ordered us to withdraw but it was too late to follow the command. Few of our warriors got killed by the Dark Walkers in the war. And Dad was one of them..." Mason breathed in recalling his father's death by the werewolves.
Allison squeezed his hands and rolled her lips inside to control her own tears.
"We knew that we would never be able to overpower him even if all the packs from the southern area came together to strike him. He killed all of them single-handedly. His Lycan destroyed the four full packs in an hour. And then we decided to surrender. Four of us from our pack announced our submission. The stupid Alpha of ours caused many deaths by joining hands with other stupid Alphas with the stupid thought to defeat the Dark lord."
Allison looked down in deep thought. Her heart constricted thinking about his deed but she wanted it to be a lie. She didn't want to look at him with hateful eyes in the future. Call it mate pull or something but after listening to Mason, her perception of him changed a bit.
"Did.... did he kill Dad?" Allison's heart sank. Something inside her screamed that He didn't but she needed to know. Giving a back slash at her stupid mind, She was hoping to not let him be the one. Maybe the mate bond was settling into her heart slowly but it was not easy to forget what happened.
Mason shook his head. "He didn't. The Alpha of the Blue Moon pack attacked Dad when he announced the withdrawal from the fight. The egoistic Alpha could not take it and killed Dad in madness. And I killed him before surrendering to the King."
Though her heart hurt with her father's killing but unknowingly Allison sighed in relief, all the time she was cursing him for killing her family. But it came out like that Lyceon himself didn't know who her father was but Mason knew things better.
"The King could see that it was not our intention to fight against him so He accepted our submission. But He took us under his wings, not letting us go back to our packs. He owned us, Ali. He owned packs who surrendered to them willingly. But one of our warriors tried to run and got killed by their hands."
Allison inhaled sharply. She didn't know what happened to their warriors before but now the truth was out.
"Mason, what about Naomi's mate?" She asked him, remembering her mate was also with them.
"He also surrendered with us but he was injured badly in the war so after a few days, he died before He couldn't make it out of there. So now only me and Klaus are the survivors." Mason told her. Allison nodded and put her head on his shoulder.
"Lyceon...the King killed Sebastian." She whispered and Mason blinked in surprise.

"Did he?"
"Hmm! Because he was trying to stop him from approaching me at the Alpha ball party." She said again, closing her eyes.
Mason could understand it as he knew the mate bond, the mate pull. No mate can be away from its Fated.
"Why didn't you contact me afterwards?" Allison asked. Mason wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
"I was intending to call you after coming here but then the King decided to send us on special training for a month. I wanted to meet you anyhow and wanted to pull you out of that trash pack to which I called home once upon a time. I wanted to start anew with you here But fate played another game on me, Ali and then I met my Mate here!"
With lightning speed, Allison snapped her head up and looked at him in surprise.
"You...your mate. Who is she?" there was excitement on her face. Her brother finally found her. Mason looked at her beaming face and chuckled.
"The one who rejected me." He shook his head with another humourless chuckle. Allison blinked a few times to let his statement go down her mind and then digest it. Reject him?

Why would a girl reject him, the strongest warrior? Mason was the good-looking, intelligent and down-to-earth man she had ever known then why did his mate reject him? Allison couldn't think of any reason.
"Why?" she whispered, feeling sad for her brother. Though she was not that happy to find her mate who came out as Lycan king, the infamous one for his dark deeds, but she wanted her brother to be happy. "Because she loves someone else. She wants to be with him." Mason looked into her eyes, calculating her expressions.
"That's the ridiculous reason to reject you, she could have talked nicely..."NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.
"She loves the Dark Lord, she wants Lyceon, Allison!" and that was enough for Allison to be tongue-tied.
Lyceon? Her mate?
Her heart drummed wildly against her chest thinking the possibility of what her mind suggested.
"Who is she, Mason?" she asked again with a straight face. Mason looked at her face before telling her the name which she knew already. "Rebecca!"
