Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 60

The pair continued to chat idly about their time in school just like that.

Nancy was currently feeling a whole load of complicated emotions.

Running into Wilbur had been a complete coincidence. He had once been Nancy’s deskmate, and she knew that Wilbur had lost his parents when he was young. He lived with his grandfather and had never been very well off.

That was why she had taken pretty good care of Wilbur in school. It could be said that there had been a bit of a spark between the two.

But they were both so young then and hardly even understood what they were feeling before they were separated.

Sering Wilbur again after over a decade, he seemed like a completely different person with some kind of superpower in him.

Nancy was no fool.

She could deduce from Steve’s words that Mister Torrent was someone of power.

But the second Wilbur showed up, Mister Torrent turned into a meek little cat. That meant that Wilbur was on another level.

However, Wilbur did not seem to want to reveal to others who he truly was. Thus, Nancy did not ask too much either.

It was past nine then, and the road up north was dark.

Nancy struggled to keep herself from overthinking. Her mind continued to drift.

Just then, a figure shot out of nowhere and hit the car with a thump.

Wilbur braked sharply as the car stopped. Nancy was sent hurtling forward, her head nearly colliding with the windshield. Thankfully Wilbur grabbed her at the last second and she regained her balance.

“What’s the matter?” Nancy asked in a panic.

Wilbur frowned. “Someone hit the car.

Nancy had yet to calm down. The collision had been rather intense. Was the person who hit the car still alive? Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

Wilbur had already gotten out of the car and saw a figure lying next to it. The back door of the car was dented.

Wilbur glanced at the person and was surprised. “Jose Smithson?

Jose was currently coughing up a mouthful of blood, clutching his chest as it heaved. He opened his eyes to see Wilbur, and his eyes lit up immediately. “Sir, please save me!!

“What happened?” Wilbur said.

Just then, a figure came soaring over from the distance. From afar, a fist shot out in Wilbur’s direction.

The punch was rather powerful, cutting through the air with a sharp howling sound.

Wilbur sent out a punch of his own and it collided with the assailant’s.

There was a loud collision, and the assailant was sent stumbling backward. The attacker regained his balance and took a good look at Wilbur

“Stay out of this,” the person warned.

Wilbur chuckled, then looked at Jose. “What’s going on here?

“That’s the guy who tricked me and embarrassed me in Seechertown! I went to ask him for an explanation, but he ended up beating the crap out of me and chased me all the way here, trying to kill me!” Jose said the words in a hurry, panting for alr when he was done.

Wilbur laughed even harder. “Dude, do you even know what you’re doing? You got scammed, and now this scammer’s trying to kill you? My goodness.”

Jose lowered his head shamefully. That was rather embarrassing

Wilbur glanced at jose, then turned to the person trying to attack him. “Scamming someone and trying to kill them? Don’t you think that’s a little too much?”

The figure laughed wildly. “Too much? In a world like this, only the strong deserve to survive! Idiots like Jose deserve to be cheated, and it’s laughable that he thinks he deserves justice.”

“I don’t disagree with the first thing you said. I once thought that to be true too. The thing is, are you strong enough?” Wilbur said calmly.

The figure looked at Wilbur. “I’d stay out of this if I were you. You might just die.”

“Well, I know this guy. In fact, he even gave me ten million dollars. He also just dented my car, which he’s going to have to pay back Who’s going to do that if he dies? Wilbur asked coldly
