Chapter 156 I Wanna Be With You
Chapter 156 I Wanna Be With You
Jackson didn't look at Selina, but casually said, "You can pretend to be ignorant sometimes."
Selina heard Jackson's words and knew that she had guessed it right. She happily replied, "Hey, why
did you conceal that from me! I definitely have to tell Cherry when she's back!"
Jackson then immediately focused his gaze on Selina. He shook her hand away from his shoulder and
said, "How dare you, I'm planning to give her a surprise! If you screw this up for me you'll regret it!"
Selina then stuck her tongue out at him and made a mocking face. She said, "Humph! Nobody's
envying your mansion!"
Derek was watching them from aside, and lazily said, "You silly girl! When you get married in the future
I'll also buy you a mansion."
But Selina turned to him, and said, "I think it'd be better if I buy you one when you get married. By the
way, where's your fiancee now?"
"Selina!" furiously shouted Derek; he didn't have a girlfriend, and was vey irritated to be laughed at by
her because of this.
As Jackson watched them messing around, smile gradually started to appear on his face.
After Cherry returned, they left the JS Group together. Cherry got into Jackson's car, and Selina and
Derek took another.
Inside Jackson's car, Cherry didn't know what to say and instead just looked out the window.
When Jackson saw that Cherry wouldn't open her mouth, he decided to break the silence between
them.
"Say, don't you wanna talk to me?" asked Jackson.
Cherry hadn't thought that Jackson would talk to her, and replied, "What? No."
As Jackson drove the car, he had his eyes more on Cherry than on the road.
She worriedly said, "Don't look at me, look at the road!"
Smiling, Jackson said, "You're more good-looking than the road."
"Aren't you afraid of hitting other cars? It's rush hour now, and there are a lot of cars on the road! You
should drive attentively!" angrily criticized Cherry. 'Sometimes he's even more wilful than a child!' she
thought.
"Are you worrying about me?" suddenly asked Jackson, with a smile on his face.
Cherry then immediately adjusted her sitting position, moved her eyes away from Jackson and looked
outside the window. She said, "Not at all!"
Still smiling, Jackson shook his head and said, "You can just be honest and admit it."
"Jackson, don't you think that you're sometimes too narcissistic for own good?" angrily said Cherry.
Although she stared at Jackson's handsome figure, she thought that he was pretty infuriating.
"Cherry, don't you think that you've called me improperly?" asked back Jackson.
"Improperly?" Cherry pretended to be surprised, and curiously asked, "How should I call you then?"
"Our names are in the same marriage certificate. Do I really need to say it?" replied Jackson.
Cherry blushed immediately, and thought, 'He's making a fool out of me again!'
"Humph, no, I don't know!" said Cherry as she moved her eyes away from him, deciding to ignore him.
Jackson felt happy when he saw her. He often liked to tease her and to see her get angry like a child.
They arrived at the restaurant and then got out of the car. Jackson put his hand around Cherry's
shoulders intimately regardless of the strangers around them and Selina and Derek beside them.
Cherry looked at Jackson nervously, and said, "What..."
But Jackson stared at her, and forcefully declared, "I'm just doing a good husband's job."
Cherry immediately became speechless.
Derek smiled and didn't mind when he saw the couple's intimate behavior, while Selina felt happy in her
heart and thought that Cherry would soon finally return to the Chu Clan. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
They ordered a private VIP room as usual, and as they chatted with each other they enjoyed the
restaurant's best specialties.
Cherry was touched by Selina's sunny disposition and had started to gradually cheer up. She sat next
to Jackson, talked, smiled, and sometimes rested her head on Jackson's shoulder. She was happy in
her heart, and Jackson couldn't feel better when he saw how relaxed she was.
After dinner, they went to a karaoke bar nearby. In the private room, Derek and Selina held the
microphones and sang ballads, expressing their bitterness in looking for their other halves, while in a
dim corner, Cherry nestled against Jackson's chest like a little bird, while whispering sweet nothings.
Cherry curled up her slim body in Jackson's arms and put her hand around his neck. She whispered in
his ear as she fondled his hair behind his head.
Jackson held her tightly and listened to her chitchat in his ear, every now and then replying in the same
whisper.
"Say, don't you think they're going nuts tonight?" said Cherry into Jackson's ear. She listened to the
love songs Selina was singing, and felt that Selina's every "love cell" had been woken up.
"They haven't had a good time like this in a long time, and it's understandable for them to become wild
now that they have the opportunity to do it, " answered Jackson.
"Jackson, " called Cherry.
"Yes?"
"Why don't you help Derek find a wife?" asked Cherry.
Jackson immediately answered her, "I've almost failed to find my own! How could I ever help him find
his?"
Cherry got angry when she heard him, and as she patted on Jackson's back, she said, "Hey, what do
you mean by 'failed to find'? I haven't even gotten lost!"
"You've been gone for five whole years, and now you're saying that you haven't gotten lost?" asked
Jackson with a smile on his face, but with sweetness and delight still flooding his heart.
"But I'm back now! Aren't I at your side now?" Cherry argued stubbornly and wanted to prevail in the
argument over him.
Jackson had to submit to her, and dotingly said, "Right, right, you're back now, and you'll be at my side
forever."
With that, he hugged her tightly and passionately kissed her lips.
Cherry stopped, and said, "Brush your teeth before you kiss me next time."
"What? Would you mind if I don't?" said Jackson as he fiercely approached Cherry and nudged her
nose with his.
"No, no, not at all!" promptly answered Cherry with a smile on her face.
But Jackson got even bolder and started to move his hand around Cherry's body tickling her.
Cherry tried to stop Jackson's hand; as she laughed happily, she said, "Stop! You're tickling me!"
Jackson felt pure happiness flooding his heart every time he saw her smile and laugh.
The four then continued to play games, sing songs and drink, and didn't leave the karaoke bar until it
was midnight.
Jackson stood beside his car and hugged Cherry tightly in his arms. He bent over her ear, and
whispered softly, "Baby, come with me tonight."
Cherry, who was a little drunk, said, "No, I wanna...go home."
"I'll take you home, to our home, okay?" said Jackson.
"O... Okay, " replied Cherry, slightly tipsy. Speaking out her mind, she said, "I... I wanna... be with you."
Jackson heard her words and understood that he had always been in her heart.
Selina was also drunk and was shouting loudly on the street, while Derek was supporting her to not fall
off her feet.
Jackson glanced at Selina and then looked at Cherry in his arms. He said to Derek, "You should send
Selina home."
Derek nodded, and said, "Be careful on your way."
"Okay, " replied Jackson.
