Chapter 982: Mr. Lawrence, You're the Only One in My Eyes
Tonight, a group of people gathered in the small villa. Haider arrived last, just as Bonnie finished
cooking.
"Rare to see you in the kitchen," Haider remarked when he learned that Bonnie had prepared dinner.
"I just felt like cooking," Bonnie replied as she served Haider some food.
In truth, Bonnie's culinary skills were on par with Myles', but she rarely cooked when Myles was around
because he would provide her with anything she wanted.
Now, she didn't even have the chance to cook a meal for Myles.
"I can't believe how delicious this is!" Sandy said, feeling a bit full as she wandered around the living
room, complimenting Bonnie.
Bonnie looked at Sandy, who was moving about restlessly. "Ask Mr. Hawkins to take you for a walk
outside to aid digestion. I told you not to overeat, but you didn't listen."
Sandy rubbed her belly. "But it's really delicious, Bonnie. Can I pay some meal expenses and eat here
more often?"
Bonnie brought out some washed fruits and placed them on the table. "Sure, but this meal expense is
quite pricey."
"No problem, any amount is fine," Sandy agreed.
Bonnie laughed. "Then you'll be here all the time. What about your Mr. Hawkins?"
Sandy glanced at Brandon. "Well... I'll pay for both of us?"
Bonnie shook her head. "No, that won't do."
Sandy pouted. "Your cooking is so amazing; if I were a man, I'd definitely marry you."
After Sandy's comment, Brandon got up and pulled her away. "Can you really marry anyone if you act
like this? Let me take you out for a walk."
Sandy wanted to say something more but was quickly dragged away by Brandon.
After Sandy and Brandon left, Ivan stood up. "I have something to attend to, so I'll head back."
Yanis also stood up. "I'll walk you out."
"I'm going with you," Zane said, taking Yanis' hand.
Ivan looked at the two and waved them off. "You don't need to see me off. I'll go by myself."
Haider glanced at Zane and smiled before standing up. "I'll accompany Ivan. We'll leave together."
"I'll go too." Bonnie joined them.
After everyone left, only Stella and Mles remained in the living room.
Stella stood up, holding Mles. "Let's go get some fresh air and let them chat. Don't do anything."
With that, Stella quickly walked towards the exit with Mles.
Now, only Yanis and Zane were left in the living room.
Yanis suppressed a smile and turned to Zane. "Mr. Lawrence, are you feeling a little jealous tonight?"
Zane glanced at her and sat down on the sofa. "Mrs. Lawrence, you were a bit over the top tonight." Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.
"Over the top? How so?" Yanis continued to argue with Zane while he pulled her closer to sit beside
him.
Once she was seated, Zane told Yanis about his conversation with Brandon earlier.
After listening to Zane, Yanis couldn't help but burst into laughter. "So, you felt embarrassed, huh?"
Zane remained silent.
Yanis tried to restrain her laughter and faced Zane, cupping his face in her hands. She said seriously,
"Mr. Lawrence, look at me. Right now, you're the only one in my eyes."
Hearing this, Zane smiled. "I know."
Yanis then glanced at the door to make sure no one was coming before leaning forward to peck Zane's
lips. She whispered, "I'll help Bonnie tidy up, and we can head back later."
Zane responded, "I'll help you."
Yanis held him back. "No need. There's no reason for you to do it outside."
When Yanis said this, Zane's smile deepened. "I'll wait for you here."
Yanis agreed and got up to go to the kitchen.
Tonight, Bonnie prepared all the dishes by herself. Both Yanis and Stella wanted to help, but Bonnie
kicked them out.
As Yanis looked at the pile of dishes in the sink, she turned on the faucet and started washing them.
Outside the villa, Haider originally wanted to have a chat with Bonnie, but he suddenly received a call
from Eduard, so he had to leave first.
As Haider left, Bonnie approached Ivan. "You lied about having something to do just now, didn't you?"
When Ivan heard Bonnie's words, he couldn't help but chuckle. "Why would I lie?"
Bonnie took a few steps forward and stood next to Ivan by the car. "Ivan, I've known you for so long,
and I still understand you a bit. You're just uncomfortable watching everyone else in pairs."
Raising an eyebrow, Ivan looked at Bonnie. "Miss Cooke, you're thinking too much. I really do have
something to attend to."
Bonnie stared at Ivan for a few seconds. "Fine, I'll believe you have something to do."
Ivan smiled softly. "Bonnie, the way things are now is actually quite good, don't you think?"
After saying this, Ivan thought of
something and added, "I'm speaking for myself. It's quite good like this."
Bonnie nodded. "I understand. I didn't think too much. You don't need to be so cautious."
Ivan looked at Bonnie. "Mles doesn't resemble you at all."
Hearing this, Bonnie's smile deepened. "He looks exactly like him. Like a mini version of him. Both the
old Mr. Cooke and my dad said the same thing."
"If he knew, he'd be very happy," Ivan said softly, glancing at Bonnie.
Bonnie's eyebrows twitched. "All this time, I've been thinking, if I hadn't been stubborn with him back
then, would he have been in this situation now? From the time we met until now, it seems like I've
always been making him angry, while he has been accommodating and indulging me. He has given me
so much that I don't know how to adapt without him by my side."
Myles' care for Bonnie was something Travis or Freddy couldn't provide.
So, for Bonnie, Myles was irreplaceable, no matter how good another person might be to her, or even if
they treated her better than Myles did. They still couldn't replace him.
"You still have Mles by your side, and as you move forward, everything will eventually fall into place,"
Ivan said softly.
